Such FANTASTIC info and video Tony :-) thanks so much for sharing and sending you tons of love and happy growing from Ireland for a fantastic Thursday XXXX
Well this has come in just in time as I have a project to move Black & Red currants to my new fruit area, I`m also waiting for Raspberry canes to put in
Thanks Tony, really useful information ! I was wondering how and when to prune the replanted red and black currants on my plot so will be looking forward to your future videos on that :)
Good job Tony i hope the bush catches well for you, it looked like a little more work than you thought, you can never tell until you start transplanting .
I have just got an allotment and have some really old gooseberry bushes. Are they worth keeping and can I move them to a better position. Also they are quite large so could they be split?
Im not the only one breaking a garden fork this year then LOL can't wait to see the development on the new site. I was listening to Gardeners Corner and they where saying that when you plant in trees bushes or shrubs to mulch with well rotted manure but not to let it touch the plant as it can burn and infect lesions you may get when planting. Just thought I'd share that info mate.
Nice video and well explained. Like you, I would leave the pruning a few weeks to let them get the roots established again. I should put a decent fork on your list for Santa!! 😄😄😄😄 All the best mate...........Nigel
Hello Tony, is there a reason you didn't prune before the move, I have seen Allotmenteers pruning now, when would you recommend to prune established fruit bushes. 😆 Happily Growing on my own allotment channel in North Warwickshire, England Terry
That's another job I've got to do myself, sorting out my black current bushes, I also couldn't help noticing Them red worm in that compost, There isn't a bait better for catching bream.....
I'm getting four mature black currant bushes, to be moved, and I was just delayed while the ground froze, so I'm glad I found this video in the meantime to copy your technique. Well, if my garden fork is Chinese wave I'll soon find out; umma bring extra tools for this job ;)
yes you will require them Sorry for the late reply. A load of comments said they were responded to even though they were not. I am slowly working through them all.
Yeah that was for Mauvember, it is a charity fund raising thing every novemeber in the UK. I hate the thing but sometimes you have to do your little bit :)

Very glad I didn't have to film the moving of our blackcurrant bushes. Thank you for being so transparent in all the work it took to move your bushes.

Excellent work. Best guide I've seen on the net.

I nearly mentioned that mate - we've all had them though haven't we? Some of the fungi in the Haringey RFC bar have been spectacular!
