Ted DiBiase is one of a kind, here's a man I HATED big time as a young lad growing up in the early 90s and now listening to these podcasts and wrestling almanac footage DiBiase is a top top man who loved the business. His character in the heyday of the late 1980's up to the mid 90s was so well portrayed that he really was the man we love to hate. Reality says otherwise.

I remember seeing Dibiase show up in WCW & it looked so strange, it was cool till Bischoff took his spot then they never really did much with Dibiase
It made a lot of sense even, thanks to his gimmick, the WWF connection and everything. Bankrupt Bischoff replacing him was lame but his brittle ego needed it i guess, when you're a failure in life, you grasp at straws and reach for the spotlight.
Yeah. Made no sense making him a babyface manager for The Steiner Bros.
Dibiase should have been the “Ted” Hogan was talking about as far as Hogan saying “Billionaire Ted wanted to talk Turkey with Hulk Hogan.”
Ted was saying that only managers couldn't go to house shows, except for places like Madison Square Garden and The Meadowlands because I went to house shows in 1994-1995 and Ted was there managing Bam Bam Bigelow, Tatanka and others.

It's like Ted said, everyone has a price, Ted had a price with WCW, and he was bought. and he left the WWF in 1996. The last time he was mentioned by the WWF was at the King of the Ring 1996.
Imagine if Hall and Nash and Ted along with Curt Hening didn't leave Vince in 1996.And where in the Attitude era from 1997-2001 going into the Invasion angle with WWF vs WCW.

Ted would have been a great WWE champion because he is a great wrestler and a heel announcer.
Can you imagine JR, The King and Dibiase on commentary during the Attitude Era? It would have been glorious.
Some of those guys Nash, Hall left probably because there gimmicks were running thin what next and Vince's pay rate is over a number of years Ted Turner was a bigger pay day and shorter time frame But WCW was a better fit for them anyway WCW was smaller promotion more of a low budget circus theme the story lines weaker the costumes not as good they were a step up from the independents not as well oiled or run like WWE. But I must say a lot of the bigger names that ended up there just looked out of place.
I'm tired hearing how these wrestlers were bored doing nothing and just collecting checks in WCW, what did they prefer, bashing their heads and destroying their bodies in WWF?
Also, the NWO stuff was cool for the first few months then it got dumb as shit when all they did was flash 4 fingers in allegiance with the Wolf Pack.

Why would The Million Dollar Man come to WCW? Money. LOL what else would bring him? But his "I'm rich" gimmick doesn't work when a billionaire (also named Ted) owns the company. He should've been an announcer.

I don’t think Ted ever really fit in at WCW it was weird seeing him in the NWO. I like him as Steiners manager but it was still odd 😂
