My Brand NEW Hermes Bag Just BROKE! 😩 WIMB Gone Wrong 😭

- I had planned to make this video about “What Fits” in my brand new Hermes Bride A Brac Toiletry Bag in the PM size… 😔 AS I was filming this, the snap button on my bag FELL OFF… How can a brand new bag be defective??
I am not an Hermes VIP by any means, but I have been shopping with Hermes at the same boutique for around 7 years… This Bride A Brac is my very first Online Purchase… 🥹 This has NEVER EVER happened to anything else I’ve bought from Hermes. I buy everything directly from the boutique with the exception of one bag… 😳 I truly hope that this is a one-off accident, and that it will not happen happen again…
WHAT would you do? Return? Exchange?? Ask to get it Repaired?
Do you think this could happen to another bag? Or I just got unlucky?

Sadly I just got mine in the mail today (in the small wool version) and it was ALSO defective. I noticed that the handle was bulging near where the strap connects to the case (near one of the buttons). When I looked closer I was shocked to see that the strap wasn't even fully attached to the case! I could see the two raw ends of the case just sitting there underneath the strap and I just couldn't believe that it could pass a quality check even just as a toiletry bag.
OMG no way 😱 I seriously can’t believe this happened to someone else…. I can’t even imagine how they could miss a loose strap!! I wonder if it’s because they’re rushing production that their more popular fast selling lines (eg. Bath/toiletry) is getting rushed passed quality control?? Either way that’s not acceptable, and I know Hermes isn’t impervious to all - but somehow I still am so shocked this has happened - so soon and to the same product?!? What’s with that?? Even if it is “just a toiletry” bag - the price is by NO MEANS cheap… There needs to be a high standard Hermes is held to or else who would buy all their products?? I feel like some of us, at least myself, buy Hermes because of the trust we have regarding Hermes famous quality in all their products not just quota bags… What are you planning to do??? Return? So strange that we both got bad ones around the same time, and I had seen so many bags available on the US site this week (though I only noticed one quantity of the wool version while I was checking out). Hopefully we were the only ones who got the flukes, but I'm not feeling reassured about this. I sent them an email with some pictures and will be sending it back for a return. I just happened to order the orange canvas one a few days ago, and will update about the quality of that one once it comes in next week!

oh no, i have used my bride a brac for awhile and this hasn’t happened. Take it to Hermes and maybe they can repair it. It’s probably just your bride a brac. I have 2 I use all the time and i haven’t had an issue. it’s a cute grab and go pouch and carries a ton that’s why I love it!
That is SUCH a relief to hear!! Especially because I LOVE the style, so cute, great price point, holds a ton - I wanted to start collecting in a few different Colors and sizes!! Oh no! Please don’t return it if there is no defect in yours! 😭 Of course, the choice is yours entirely - but I know how hard they are to get and if you really love it you should keep it! Yikes! And you were so happy to get this; I can't believe it. See if you can find some reviews online about this bag - who knows, maybe someone else had this happen . I definitely think you should contact your SA and see if they can at least exchange it for you, if you don't want to return it.
Right?!? My long awaited favorite combo too!! Grrr 😖 How is it that I get “lucky” in this way?! In all my years buying Hermes this has never ever happened 😱 I would prefer exchanging it indeed, because of how hard they are to get - but knowing Hermes… Highly doubt they will have any in stock - but maybe they will take pity on me and throw me a bone HAHA 😛 ❤️ Kiki
