    You finally did it! I have a feeling this will end up one of your most successful videos of the year. I learned a lot about brands I've never checked out before! I'll definitely use your links to make my purchase! Thanks for your hard work, and I hope you get to a point where you can start pumping out your own half-Italian family soon!!!

    #4!!! Waterproof, reusable, multipurpose. I go back to this from time to time. 😊
    Pro-tip for frequent hotel stayers: grab those laundry bags whenever you can, they're free and some are really durable!
    Anyway, it's time I make an upgrade. Thanks for these great selection Aaron!

    Great reviews, as always! I made myself start using packing cubes on recent trips and I'm officially a convert. It's crazy what you can make fit in these things, and there's so much comfort in the organization.
    That said, I don't know if there's a single type of travel gear where I have a harder time wrapping my head around paying for a premium product. I love Aer and would normally have no issue paying for their quality and branding to pair with my Aer travel pack, but the cheap cubes I already have get the job done so well already.
    One thing: If you do any more packing cube reviews, I'd love it if you might show us how they fit into a couple of popular travel packs when the cubes are fully packed? I know everyone's combination of cubes and pack are going to be different, but a sense of how a couple fully packed cubes fit into a standard backpack you pick would be cool to see, just to get a sense of relative sizing.

    Very nice, I got a set of the Peak early on and they are nice all around, but I also got a set of Alpaka ones were were inexpensive and a bit thinner in size than the Peaks, and they are perfectly good too in a smaller non-compressible way. I also noticed Alpha One Niner has a nice inexpensive (relatively to other online specialty brands) set, that was even a little smaller than Alpaka's. Its just nice to match relative size and shape to the type of luggage you are gonna throw them into. Granted I have extreme ocd lol.

    Great video! I have converted to Peak Design's cubes because they fit my Monos hybrid carry on perfectly. But the queen of my heart is Thule's compression packing cube. I've never experienced a more satisfying compression zipper.

    An ever changing market. I got a set of Eagle Creek and they held up well on a five week trip in 2018. Very light weight. Discontinued about a year later. Compression cubes are very useful but cost a lot more to the standard ones of the same size.

    Personally I think packing cubes ought to be made of the lightest & thinnest possible materials, as they aren't the clothes you actually need on a trip and instead they take up space & weight in your luggage. For that reason, I don't understand the Step22 collection.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  10 місяців тому

      Totally get where you are coming from. I think the Step22 collection are 'storage' cubes that can be used for a variety of things including tools, electronic gear, or clothes when you travel.

    • @dustinbovey7865
      @dustinbovey7865 2 місяці тому

      @@Nomads.Nation the Step22 brand is more well known in the overlanding community, to your point Aaron, much more outdoors style venture like camping, and having things stored in a vehicle and/or camper/trailer; hence their super rugged design and I’d put them above tortuga even. I own one of their tool rolls, and it’s built like a tank, goes with us whenever we go on roadtrips.
      One thing I also love about their brand, is they name their products after endangered animals/species, and send portions of their proceeds back to helping them. #funfacts #themoreyouknow

    Hi Aaron,
    Nice list!
    I have most of them (#1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10) but have to say you missed the best one (at least for me) is from Bluffworks out of UK.
    They have a velco that can cinch in depending on how much you pack so it doesn’t slide around when not full. Also, it has a side zip that’s see thru but that means you can take out each clothing item as you need instead of opening and taking out the entire set of clothes. I need to get more as each time a family member or friends jack mine as they love it so much. Prices not too unreasonable. Hope you can get a hold of them and do a review.
    And #7 Step22, their tech and toiletry bags are great. Hope you can do a review on those as well.
    Keep up the videos of late. Good stuff!

    Its funny how having a $1 YKK zipper justifies according to these youtube "reviewers" a price tag of $80+ for a little nylon bag. Materials and workmanship total $4 and a retail price of $85.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  6 місяців тому +3

      agreed that the margins on these must be pretty crazy for the brands, and as I said in my video at the 5:11 mark, a plastic bag works perfectly well for a packing cube. But if you want to splurge, these are absolutely the best that I've tested. Thanks for watching!
