Other than Pele, has there ever been a more talented young player at aged 16-17? I'm not saying Rooney is the best ever or in Peles category overall, but at 16, Rooney was on a different planet to other talented 16 year olds. Even a Cristiano Ronaldo.
I never got around to doing it. I will finish it off if i can find the DVD but everything got moved while i was decorating. But i got it from the Everton official DVD called the magnificent 7th. You might be able to get it on ebay or from the everton website. The extended Arsenal part is off youtube as the official everton channel released it the whole match. I would love to get my hands on his best performances against Bolton and Blackburn, it was something else.

I would say they were his greatest performances of his entire career, how he didn't score I will never know. The Bolton performance was what got him his first England call up. You could tell even the pundits couldn't believe what they just witnessed. My jaw has only dropped 3 times watching football. One was his goal for man utd against newcastle and the other 2 was what I was watching him do against Blackburn and Bolton.
