I love that he scored his 200th Premier League goal for Everton, and that he scored a hat trick and a derby goal against Liverpool in his final appearances. He did it all. What a player.
Wyane Rooney the half way line specialist. He score from half way line at Man United, Everton and also DC United. What a legend. Deserve all the respect from fans. I really love Rooney he is pure class.
I think the best modern player to compare Rooney to for any younger person who can't remember young Wayne Rooney is Mbappe. Unstoppable, unplayable as a 16-17 year old.
@Bobby Has he died? Has he retired from management? No? Then, this comment is still relevant. He's only 37 years old. He may not have a great managerial career yet, but time is surely on his side.
I’ll still never forget the radio city commentary…. “Into Rooney… he’s left Bakke floundering… takes on Radebe…OHHHH THE BOYS MAGIC!” He broke my heart but I’ll always treasure his goals in his first spell at Everton. Lucky enough to have seen the best player in the world in royal blue.
Evertonians might not like what I say but it was the wisest decision to go and work for sir Alex, who kept him from becoming another gazza and kept him from destroying himself.
Rooney is so good from teenage years till after manu career. He has score some crazy goals and performance at MLS too. There is one thing i can never figure out which is why was he released from manu despite they fact he is still playing at a world class level.
It's funny cause no what his age, he brought experience creativity and goals. He'll be an example on the pitch. Something which is seriously lacking in this Everton team.
Chris Don't Miss I disagree. His peak was between 23-28. It was in the 2014-15 season that he had a massive decline. He may have been faster at running at like age 19 but he was definatly a better player at like age 24, more complete.
@@accountuser5588 he may have been a more complete player in his mid twenties and but in terms of individual and game changer skills his peak was from 18-21. In season 2009/10 and 2010/11 he matured as an allrounded player because Ferguson wanted him to drop deeper and deeper but in 2014 he declined EXTREMELY.
@@PatoNani18 he was literally the 2 nd best player on earth in the 2009/10 season untill March when the germans injured him and targeted him in the return leg. His heart is blue through and through Liverpool born and bred it’ll never ever change. He’s the best most successful player in the entire history of Manchester United and he’s a SCOUSER 💙
Played with Wayne at belfield, I was in the same group as his younger brother Graham. He used to go in goal back then for little mess about games after training. He was special even then!
People might disagree with me when I said Rooney is the same level as mbappe, cr7 and zidane . Messi, pele , Maradona and Ron 9 is above of all football players.
Rooney never won anything with England nor was close to win any ballon d'or. Don't forget how many UCl and ballon d'or Zidane and CR7 got on their shelf.
Makes me laugh when people say gerrard was a better player. Gerrard btw, was a great player and had some great moments, but Wayne could do things on a pitch that stevie could only dream about. He had so many more skills in his locker and scored all types of goals.
rooney was really nasty..but calmed down after he had children...also due to his build being really stocky caused a decline in his quickness...but a great legend
@Sukhdev Sohal Year 13 well it ain't working at the moment ,leave wazza in the box to get on to things ,I mean it might of worked for a season or 2 more and with the young powerful personel we have now but I guess we never know now!!!..COYB 👍
@Sukhdev Sohal Year 13 Yes and the calmness in which it's played!!!!...Need to play the ball quicker and not always out to the wings and back !!!..I'm more of a Benetiz fan over Jose as think Jose may well of had his best times ...Where as Rafa and his ex red shite days ???..well I'd think that could give him the motivation to win things ???...Just a thought !..
I distinctly remember in the early to mid 00s Rooney’s breakthrough was as devastating as Owens. In fact he was a more promising signing for Utd than CR7 because he was playing as if he was fully developed right from the off (Euro 04). He definitely could’ve been more selfish in the pursuit of stats but he was unselfish and always wanted the ball lol.
The name was remembered
It is still remembered!

I still remember that clip from way back when.
How time flies😢

People forget how good he was for us before he left, teenager carrying the side. I don’t blame him for leaving, just wish he came back sooner.
True he was friggin 18 when he left, what more could you expect from his performances?
Yeah, I wish he had came back after Sir Alex left.
Wyane Rooney the half way line specialist. He score from half way line at Man United, Everton and also DC United. What a legend. Deserve all the respect from fans. I really love Rooney he is pure class.
People say his second spell wasn’t good but I saw him on numerous times and he was pure class
Wtf flag is that?
He was world class before he ever set foot in old trafford.
At 16 he was playing like he was playing football at the top level for years
Wayne Rooney exists:
Arsenal: ah shit here we go again!!!
Cr7 returns Arsenal not again
The technique to hit that ball first time from inside his own half, considering the pace of the ball, is really quite astounding.
He was in his 30s at that point
@sizeXLbargby that's a pretty piss poor joke. Nice try covering your own mistake.

Wayne Rooney is an Everton legend. No doubt about it

There was a time when rooney matched the level of Messi and cr7

After ronaldo left in 2009 rooney really stepped up and definitely in the years 2010-12 he was on another level

Number 22 for me, the way he strikes that ball to keep in down from over the half way line and for the hat trick. What a player 😁
First spell at Evereton and Man U Debut against Fenerbache was Rooney at his best. Never seemed to play with the same ease after that
Dont forget the euros in 2004
