Hmmm ... that's actually an interesting question. There are 4 bullets in the chamber, so it is entirely possible to have none left if you use the two shots in the Chapter "Low Point" by rescuing Taylor, and two shots in the Chapter "Ruined" when choosing the Attack option, leaving you with no bullets. After that you'll need to not annoy Vince enough that he'll just say to leave this place and never come back. My guess is that Andrew/Bus Driver will end up at the diner with slightly different dialogue. If anyone who sees this comments knows the answer feel free to reply to this comment thread.
@@ChengTeoh It may have been glitched, or a result of the dream itself, but Anthony still shot himself when I'd used all four bullets, two to rescue Daniel and then Taylor, then two to rescue Daniel later.

there are more endings. I got one where Everyone is dead but Andrew at the end, I have no gun, so i don't kill my self and I spoke peacefully to the guy at the end with no cop.
@Syeda Samreen Sam There's also a very Secret ending where you have no bullets. An example of where you can use them is at Vince, you also need to tell him that you were trying to help and that your friend is gone, in the fog with Taylor go Left and fail the QTE, and then Andrew will shoot, when you have to save Taylor or Daniel, Save Daniel, use the gun and after that you can use it for Taylor and then the last one is attacking when Daniel is down. Make sure to shoot twice even though the gun won't go off. So yeah. That's how you do it. Kinda similar to the no gun one but a bit more emotional.
I just realisd that the Curator is the Death himself, he was there every death, and he said: "We will meet again, at least once." Becouse everyone will die once.
Yeah there was another line where he said that. Kinda along the lines of "he meets everyone at least once", he said that when he was giving a hint or was reading a line from another book I think where he said that he met the author of that book or something.
Not really sure why Vince is still holding a grudge 50 years later but go off I guess Andrew ain’t the only one who needs to accept the past and keep it pushin 👀

The story is actually pretty good. This is how I saw it: The fire killed the family at a wrong time in their lives when they all disliked each other and are mean and selfish to one another. Anthony carried the guilt he shouldn't have because he had a hand in starting the fire. The guilt was too heavy for him so he blamed his sister ("blaming his sister" was his own demon). And the "present" family was like his way of trying to achieve a happy ending that the original family never had. It's important to play the characters and "unlocking the bad traits" to achieve this "happy ending" for Anthony, that his family learns to love and care for each other (heroic), overcome their bad traits, and supported Anthony by not blaming him in the end (at the diner). As well as for Anthony to overcome his own demon by not blaming his sister. This was his closure (that even in some hallucination/dream they were able to achieve happy ending). That's why I like the (diner with everyone alive) ending the most. Although, I don't understand how Megan placing the doll by the fire is an accident. Is this just assumed or is there a clue to unlock?
the whole concept of the game made me cry. it’s so sad 😩💔 but it gives you a perspective of someone with HEAVY trauma and/or schizophrenia 🥺. the way the series play with your mind is crazy
Now that I think about it, this is sort of a mix between Man of Medan and Until Dawn isn't it? Although Until Dawn did in fact have some supernatural elements to it, one of the main themes were Joshua's (Rami Malek) schizophrenia and him combatting his illness- not being able to move on from the past hence he does the crazy things to his friends. Then in Man of Medan there was the hallucinatory toxic gas. So now Little Hope had mental illness as the main theme that led to Anthony's hallucinations of pretty much the whole game.
I guess Supermassive's plan for the dark anthology is to explore all genre of horror. In Until Dawn, there was a real threat which is the wendigos, that's Supernatural genre. In Man of Medan they took the psychedelic genre of horror, everything wasn't real and it was just drug induced illusions while in Little Hope they took a psychological horror.
@Xalphire getting everyone killed (except for Anthony because you know) and back where you had the choice to keep the gun you take it. Be friendly to the man there. Save the girl in the trial by saying to stop the priest. He will be at his lowest and wants to kill himself but because you saved the girl (your sister) she will stop you, you forgive her and know it isn’t her fault what happened. It’s pretty sweet. Ask again if your confused on anything
@Xalphire It's not her fault because Meghan was being manipulated by a priest (probably 70s Carver) in the Church schooling she was sent to by her family to probably help her problems, but instead of helping her problems it does the exact opposite since the priest was manipulating her in a way that made her think to set the house on fire. So in summary a priest was telling Meghan shit and Meghan wasn't getting the care she needed and just had enough and lit the house on fire.

There's another version of that last ending combined with the earlier ones. If you shoot at Vince, but still have at least one other member alive, Vince stops you and gets you arrested as you're leaving town instead of at the house and there's a fairly nice symbolism as the camera pans and the other characters vanish as the camera pans around Anthony.
For those struggling to figure out how to keep all characters alive, I've found that a major factor in keeping them alive involves the encounters with their demons. At various points in the story, all the playable characters (except Andrew...and arguably Angela, but I'll get to that in a second), are given the same options when fighting their demons. Variations of "help me" and "leave me/get out of here." You MUST pick the "leave me" options every time. A major part of the game's underlying message is that you must face your demons alone. If you pick the "leave me" option, that demon is never seen again after that encounter. There is a weird exception to this with Angela though. Her encounter doesn't outright say help me or leave me. You can coldly tell Andrew that he isn't fit to help you, or you can say that you trust him to help you. I've done both in two separate playthroughs, and Angela made it to the end of the game both times. I'm not sure what you would have to do to get her killed at the end (other than condemning Mary, obviously) EDIT: Someone in the replies pointed this out, and I Googled it to confirm. Angela's big choice that determines her survival is shortly before John's. When John is fighting his demon in the yard of the ruined house, you're given the choice as Angela to either say "I'm not waiting for you" or "hurry up". You MUST choose "hurry up". Choosing this option has you wait for John rather than leaving him; thus showing your heroism and reassurance. Many others have said that which characters ultimately survive has a lot to do with the traits, but I wasn't actively doing anything one way or the other trait-wise. EDIT: I've found that the traits DO matter, but only if you choose not to have the characters face their demons alone. In the game, you're presented with locked traits. Throughout the game, you can unlock negative traits through your responses (by "unlock" I mean that the negative traits are locked into the character, which is something you DON'T want. The fewer traits that are locked in, the greater that character's chance of survival is). I had previously thought the traits didn't mean much because I had the characters face their demons alone. Just now, I've learned that all the traits instantly unlock for the characters that face their demon alone, which guarantees their survival if they make it to the ruined house (provided you don't condemn Mary) In my second playthrough, John, Daniel and Taylor all faced their demons alone and I found the bible with Priest Carver's markings (that's a requirement for condemning Carver, if I'm not mistaken. EDIT: I looked it up and I'm not mistaken. It is indeed a requirement). I also refused Vince's drink in the bar (I've heard this has an impact on the ending as well. EDIT: I've found that accepting the drink instantly locks in a negative trait for John, so if you ask for help during his demon encounter, accepting that drink might end up killing him). EDIT: I know that if you condemn Mary, all characters except for Andrew will be killed in the ruined house regardless of how many locked traits they have and regardless of whether or not they faced their demons alone. However, if the characters did not face their demons alone AND you don't condemn Mary, that's where the number of locked traits determines that character's survival. I wasn't able to find any clarification online for exactly how many negative traits that each character is allowed to have and still survive the game. But I did find that, apparently, condemning Carver allows each character to have more locked traits and survive than if you destroy the doll. Destroying the doll does not necessarily spell doom for the characters, but it becomes more likely. But, again, NONE of the stuff regarding traits matters if all characters face their demons alone. I also found out, interestingly, that the more locked traits you have, the harder the QTE's become. If you have a bunch of locked traits, the late game QTE's can become nearly impossible. All the more reason to make sure you face your demons alone. I included the word "edit" next to all the bits of information that I didn't know when I originally commented. This is to reinforce a point that I'm gonna make right now. In my second playthrough, all the characters made it to the end. And I managed to do it while not knowing anything that says "edit" next to it. My point being that you make things a LOT simpler if you just face your demons alone. If you do that then you could, like me, save everyone while knowing hardly anything about the survival mechanics (the traits, least of all)
Maybe the Angela exception is because, whichever option you choose, Angela doesn’t technically fight the monster or ‘face her demon alone’? She just runs away every time, but all the other characters fight. Still, I don’t get why that means she survives, it should technically mean she dies. But it explains why there’s no difference between choices.
My theory is that since Andrew didn't play a role in attempting to help his mom, that Angela is incapable of facing her demon. For everyone else, Andrew had an active role in trying to help and then witnessing their death. Even Mary had a demon (Pastor Carver) but since she was so young, she was incapable of standing up for herself. Andrew feels guilty about not doing more, so in Little Hope the best ending is doing what Andrew regretted not doing.
@@dawsonstalker2330 You raise a very interesting point about Anthony not helping his mom or witnessing her death. It can't be a coincidence that the mom in the prologue and Angela are both outliers in their respective situations. People can say what they will about the game, but the subtle hints and parallels such as this one are awesome
The true ending for this was so shocking and it subverted my expectations in a way that left me discussing this tremendous ending with my fiancée who played this all the way through with me This wasn't no game, it was an experience and it truly has to be Supermassive's best story telling yet. This blew my mind and everything leading up to it was high staked, tensional and really solid. I love little hope, this raised my expectations greatly for the future titles
Im pretty sure these games are like the twilight zone in game there are 8 games planned so I'm guessing the other games will have a deeper meaning until dawn is the only game where the things happening were real
The experience WAS Andrew's demon. He carried the burden of a closely-following demon with him on those years. When he was forced to confront his demon -The Little Hope fire tragedy- he had to choose whether he ran or he accepted it. John, Angela and Daniel have instances where if they face their demons, the demons stop following them. This is ultimately the way to get the good ending.
Ok im not sure if everyone notices this but their deaths to their “demons” are the same way in the house they lived in that got burned for example Father=Buried alive(Wood fell on him)(couldn’t find the word for being crushed alive)(explains the double dying of being crushed by rocks) -------------------------- Mother=Suffocation(in bathroom)(explains the -double drowning) -------------------------- Older sister=burned(explains double being burned alive Younger sister=burned(same explanation) -------------------------- Older brother/Daniel(i think he is older maybe) =Stabbed(Impaled by spikes)(explains double being thrown off the roof and being impaled on spikes just like the original) -------------------------- Younger brother/Andrew (or Anthony i forgot) =Not deceased (explains why his double never died and he wasn’t targeted by any of the dead doubles or his double nor had any dead double chasing specifically for him) (Don’t mind this Anthony/Andrew part i have no idea how to explain it properly but all i know is that he got brain damage) -------------------------- Almost forgot about the asian judge and Vince but mostly the asian judge -------------------------- Asian Passerby=(At the Part where all the family members die except Anthony or Andrew a random asian passerby tells him “What have you done?!” Before Anthony/Andrew runs into the house (explains his double being the judge for he judged Anthony/Andrew in the beginning and why he is like that in Anthonys or Andrews hallucinations) -------------------------- (Vince/Boyfriend)of(Taylor/Older sister)=Before you found out it was a hallucination he is shown to be strange and not affected so you obviously should start to notice somethings up Thats all i can wright in 2:45AM good night!
I knew it! Well, not literally knew it, but I had like suspicions that the others weren't real because as soon as the game started, I was like "Wait. It doesn't look like anyone is on the bus." and I noticed how there was no sound or voices of someone in the bus aside from the driver, at least before the bus was stopped. You would expect there would be chatters or something, but nope. No voice or anything until after the bus was stopped.
They were talking when he was driving lol that's kind of the reason he crashed he looked back told them to keep it down looked back and didn't have enough time to swerve around the girl in the road

I get it when andrew said to marry "But i didn't save you" Because at the start of the game when their house caught fire, Anthony chose to save his older sister or Taylor (forgot her real name) instead of saving his little sister, Megan if I'm not mistaken. When we are told to choose between the two of them.
The demon following Anthony's little sister was representing of the evil priest Carver who had influenced her just like in his delusion. everything you play in the game is somehow reality to reality. the "secrets" you find in the game are not really secrets, they are pieces of reality that your character(Andrew or Anthony) doesn't know that are there to help the player form a better understanding of the overall plot. But to sum it up the girl was innocent, it was the priest's corruption of her that lead her to acting out and burning the house down. HOW MUCH BLAME CAN THE CHILD TAKE??? all of it??? And the rest of the game is Anthony trying to slay his "Demons" and forgive himself for what happened.
My ending was different than all of these and different from ones in the comment section too haha. I just played with a buddy of mine and got an ending where the only one alive was Anthony. We had the gun with bullets remaining, and burned the girl. Everyone died in the house, but we didn't shoot ourselves or even pull out the gun in the final scene. We went to the diner and just had the flashback and that was it. A sort of "medium ending" all of our schizophrenic friends died and Anthony left peacefully
Nah I liked man of medan better cause it actually made sense cause like the events actually happened with the soldiers but this just made saving all the characters aside from Andrew/Anthony pointless

I was hoping it played out that from the past the little girl was killed as a witch even though she was innocent and spoke out to the devil to curse the town to make the inhabitants of little hope live in a loop of despair and darkness. The same people killed over and over until the cycle was broken for example saving the little girl from her fate in the past
It honestly felt like they tried too hard to force a twist ending to me. Like i get it and I get he has ptsd and stuff but this feels like the whole play through was pointless in a way. Not to mention the fact that the whole witch trials were pointless. Was him mixing up the towns history with his own past in the 70s? Idk i loved the game but would have loved a supernatural element like in until dawn. Man of medan made more sense with the gas but this i feel like a reincarnation thing where they're drawn back to the town and forced to keep dying the same way over and over
I hate twist endings like this where something ends up all being inside someone's head. A lot of times it just doesn't work for me. I liked a lot of the spooky stuff in the story but knowing that none of it really mattered in the story beyond being used as a coping tool for a a schizophrenic PTSD suffering bus driver sucks. Why not play more off of the demon at the very beginning that his little sister is talking to? Having almost the entire cast be imaginary in a twist ending just makes me look back on a story and not give a shit about any of the characters.
this game is best than medan but the endings are disappointing. it gets hard for me to play again and try another ending because like you said, it feels pointless
The thing i am asking myself is, what that devil thing at the beginning of the game was. When the little girl set the house on fire by laying the doll on the stove there was a creepy hand next to her. That couldn't have been a halluzination because that was before the trauma.
Anthony has a Witch Trials era figurine in his bedroom, and he's in a town affected by it. Having played multiple endings, i say the twist if best suited to a neutral ending, where everyone else dies, but Anthony/Andrew condemns the correct person and saves Mary. that ending single-handedly redeemed the twist for me. Otherwise, I'd agree that the twist should've been ditched in favour of maintaining the supernatural element of the story.
I think the curator is Death himself. It's been hinted at alot in Man of Medan. He does remind you that death is inevitable and will tell you "we will meet again" cementing the inevitability of death.
The bad endings honestly seem like what would actually be the ending if it were a horror movie. Sort of like a message that if you continue to grieve over something it can kill you from within
I just noticed at the beginning that the deaths were the same as the "Flash back" Taylor dies by hanging herself and not on purpose(I didn't know but she can burns too) Daniel die by the Spike John die crushed and Angela die by suffocation and Morgane burn in the fire
it is silent hilly as hell, probably given some inspiration, the 2 troubled souls met there as well. Also perhaps some demonic influence since the priest may have been a cultist and the child posessed or under bad influence is the rational explanation. Also the way he crashed when he saw a girl and then woke up in a foggy town ? that's literally a silent hill reference.
It's funny how this game has a different game mechanic than MAN OF MEDAN (I know there are way more consequences in UNTIL DAWN, even though i haven't played it but watched it) So i've escaped every single monster encounter, everyone lived, blamed the reverend Carver , saved Mary, but whenever people leaves the house Taylor (Red haired girl) stays in the house and gets R'd because she felt "FOOLED" and "INDECISIVE" (Burden locks)...Wow, sorry for not choosing the right options when they might lead one thing or the other with lack of description of what they're going to say.. Not gonna replay the entire game because of this, but thanks for this vid.
I think that if you go against their character type they'll end up getting knocked out at the end. It's interesting to see how each character has a physical reaction at certain points in the game if you've chosen to go against their type - from my experience the more opposite they are the more physically labored they seem to be for specified scenes.
Yeah so in my playthrough with my friend (playing online) my friend decided to ask for help when Taylor was getting strangled (as anyone would). But then she died at the end and my friend was fumming to find out THAT decision killed her, no matter what other choices were made in the game. She felt cheated.
What decisions save Taylor? Which traits of hers are good?? I think I have deceitful and something else and she got killed. So annoying though because the entire game I was just making her positive and agreeable. John died too, probably because I burned the doll, but I cant figure out which traits save them.
i've read a few articles that said that the ending where tony killing himself to atone for his mistakes is the good/better ending, but i can't help but think that the ending where everyone lives and vince is good to tony is the *good* ending. tony comes to terms with his tragedies and accepting that it was just an accident in this ending and it's a healthier way of dealing with guilt and grief than the ending where he kills himself, i feel like.

There are I think a few other endings where Mary saves Andrew/Bus Driver from shooting and other slightly different variations of the "bad" ending where Andrew/Bus Driver and "everyone" survive and are walking towards the diner but then Vince gets the cop to arrest Andrew/Bus Driver.
damn bro... I kept all of them alive, saved Mary, and even had a bullet left in the gun. I thought I was hot shit until I realized that the character traits actually had an impact on the game and everyone died except Andrew and Angela
Okaaaay I guess I did not see the twist coming but... I feel like, to me personally, the way the story is told doesn't fit quite well to the ending with me. I wish there was a little more focus on Andrew himself, and maybe a bit more foreshadowing and signs to what's really going on. Maybe I just missed it, but I feel like all those witch trial flashbacks kinda lose their meaning really, or don't really have much to do with what is going on with Andrew here. Maybe i am not understanding everything right, but idk I kinda feel a little bit underwhelmed by this twist when looking back on the game... Still was interesting though I guess! And i do like the general themes and messages it has!
There is some foreshadowing/signs, but it’s not really obvious, only is when you go back and watch. I noticed that when you’re hiding from Vince (thinking he’s a demon at first) IF you miss the QTE, Vince says “Stupid old fool”. Also in the bar, you think Vince is replying to John whenever he talks but it’s really only because Andrew repeats everything John says. There’s probably more I missed along with Vince not seeing the demons, etc, small things like that.
Think of the witch trials as heritage from his home town being used as a way for him to cope. The court hearings are probably his actual court case where the town thought he killed everyone. It was his ptsd flaring up in some severe ways.
There was alot of foreshadowing. As the story went on, characters from the past were dying the same way they did in the 70s. It's obvious that "the cycle" repeats itself. It's then your job to undo the cycle by saving Mary. The story also leaned heavily in the direction that Mary was inherently evil and not controlled by Carver. In the 70s, every family member condemned Megan (the counterpart) except Andrew. Andrew's biggest regret is not helping Megan. Megan was plagued by her own demons, that being the 70s equivalent to Carver, as he likely had a inappropriate relationship with her. He even writes the family telling them that she's fine when in actuality she was probably suffering from psychosis.
In the best ending, the Curator seems disappointed that you got a good ending and isn’t that happy. I mean, he is the personification of Death, so that explains it! XD
I had that ending where I saved everyone only to get killed by all those demons and the at the end Andrew re-lives the memories of his haunted past. I think for me this is the best ending as there is no sugar coating past traumas and at the end of the day Andrew accepted he can’t change the past only the past changed him.
You get the good ending if at least 1 companion survives, you save the girl and you don't shoot at Vince. It sucks that it's basically the same if you save all 4 or just 1. The only difference is that the curator aplauds you if you save all 4.

@@ChengTeoh Yeah, I saved three and pissed off Vince, and he rode in a cop car while the three disapeared and revealed his face. Pretty much took the same choices it seems you took so idk how I pissed him off.
@@ChengTeoh I just watched almost the same ending. 3 survivors (RIP Daniel) watched Andrew being apprehended. I mean they reacted when the police car stopped there but were gone when Andrew turned into bus driver.
He felt guilty causing his whole family died, he then becomes mentality unstable. His mind is in chaos when he accidentally need to drive to " little hope" again. The story made up in his mind is to protecting him from recalling his guilty, like the movie"SPLIT". Those bus character is real for him, saving those "character" can relief his guilty so his mind can be back to the reality again.
If you had the people die while inside the building then my guess is that you didn't pick up a couple of key secret items ( ie. the key from the grandfather clock, or the "No 1. Dad keychain" in the store - remember that those two items were seen during "The Family" chapter ) needed for them to be able to leave the house. Hope that helps out.
to save everyone, you have to unlock all their negative traits. if you go onto the menu with the characters, negative traits are locked and can be unlocked by doing actions that are opposite to them. Essentially what you are trying to do is have everyone fight their inner demons. i.e. Taylor is known to selfish and rely on other people. By doing stuff on her own and helping others you will unlock her negative traits. Keep in mind thst doing a negative action in the game can lock traits and it's why you see the traits in the eyes of the demons at the end
There is one more ending that is almost the same as the last one where (Saw from RadBrads channel) Idk if who dies matter or not but in the vid Taylor died and andrew and his imaginary family walked down the road they did when everyone survived. While walking Vince comes and blames Andrew and he gets arrested on the road
I didn't achieve the happy ending because the game really doesn't like to tell you where to aim in the fight scenes, which means that I failed whenever I wasn't supposed to hit the monsters on the head, and that I'm not going to replay it.
the one thing i still dont quite understand. if he was being charged with the murders why was he at the funeral and not arrested? and if he wasnt being charged for it why does he end up getting arrested? (unless its a psychotic hold but it still feels really odd) still loved the story either way tho, at least something good came out of 2020
The chinese, at the beggining, saw him with the matches and he thought Anthony was responsible. So when he reffered about it to police, Anthony got arrested. That's why the chinese was rappresenting the puritan judge in Anthony mind.
He was a suspect due to being found with with matches by the asian dude , so they took him in and was put in a cell and interrogated. Meanwhile they sent actual fire expert at the house , and the expert concluded that the fire was not criminal but accidental , so they release him and then they have the funeral , they didn't immediately burried the bodies since you know , possible murder case .
The "judge" saw Anthony with the matches so he assumes he started the fire. Then the fire expert cleared him so funeral etc... He became a bus driver and got outta there. Beginning of the game, he hits his head in the accident and this plus the guilt plus being back in the city, he loses it and hallucinate everyone. If you're mean with Vince, messes up qtes when he's there and shoot him (combination of those or all of them), he thinks Anthony's unhinged or crazy and call the police (I doubt there's any hospital/mental facilities still working there). The officer, based on his testimony, thinks he's a danger to yourself or others and voila... back of the car for you. As for the assassin's line of dialogue Vince serves you at the end, I think Anthony is just hallucinating it, wich wouldn't be surprising (since you know... he hallucinated 4 whole people all night long).
Let me explain:so the bus driver lived in little hope with his family but they died in that house due to a fire which he set on and he blamed himself. When he had to drive through little hope he got crazy from his guilt and crashed and then he just started seing illousions. The guy from the bar was his friend and also blamed him. When he sees him again he either lets him go or cals the cops on him.Litle hope was a real town he just didnt want to go back thats why he went crazy those people were his dead family all in his head (probably PTSD)
I just noticed, in a multi-player clip I saw, the curator specifically said something along the lines of "even tho there's more than one of you, you are treated/playing as one person" Goddammit. Delirious also predicted that the bus driver have mental problems.
Is there anything else in particular you are supposed to do to get the good ending because I did EXACTLY what was done in this video for the good ending (saved Mary and called out the evil priest) and Angela, John, Taylor, and Daniel all still got locked in the house and died to their demons.

Now that I've seen the whole game, I remember details that make everything make sense like no modern day version of Megan, Andrew didn't have a demon, the mannequins in the background, the wounds on the characters like Taylor. The answer was there the whole time.
So with the characters dying inside the house how the traits are locked into their eyes does this mean we went against who they were suppose to be as characters? It has me confused 😅
I'm still a bit confused about it myself after all this time, lol. The only sure-fire way I know of to have them all die in the building is to condemn Mary, and/or to miss picking up the two items related to the keys.

In other words, whenever a character gets killed in the present time, the trait will appear which corresponds with the one at 1972. Edit: there's a possibility that these traits also represent Anthony's negative traits (when they die) since the 4 characters are likely to be the representative of his good traits. If these good traits die, it might add fire into Anthony's sickness situation. Just my guess. One personal question. What happens when you condemn Mary but you did pick up the two items related to the keys? Will all the characters survive? Or the house falls apart anyway and all characters die?

It makes no sense to me having them fight their own demons alone, in my mind I was only doing what a normal human being would do and ask for help instead of fighting IMMORTAL DEMONS on their own... Except in movies, who tf in real life is like "yeah leave me here to die you guys can go"??? We're all like "bitch get yo ass here and help me I ain't no fool" I hated this ending :(
this whole game is just a mirror to what happened to his family, and there are so many clues you can pick up by this. in the flashbacks to the witch trials, it shows how megan had a role in each death of the family (thus everyone blaming mary for accusing them of witchcraft, leading mary to be accused herself because megan did end up setting the house on fire). the role of the doll being the source of “evil” during the witch trials, which mirror back to how the doll caused the house fire. carter taking mary in, which is refering to his future self’s letter to anne about megan’s rebellious behavior in the future, and offering aid. one thing that i think makes it all more tragic is andrew losing his friends and professors in the final scene of the house, implying how there was nothing he could do to save them, no matter what. it was doomed from the start. i also want to mention how if you get deaths throughout the game, the monster and the bodies disappear, just proving earlier on that it was all in his head. (edit: i saw this somewhere else , where taylor keeps pushing for everyone to split which refers to letting andrew move on and let go of the past, but it doesn’t happen) and i’m sure there is more than that, but those are what i managed to pick up. it’s all really dark when you think about it, but this game itself is way more thought out than man of medan was
'72 Megan/Mary was tutored by the '72 reverend, who was into the occult, and likely taught her about the things he knew. Megan likely daydreamed/imagined that part thanks to him.
All those locked bad traits being shown in the eye of each monster seems that it really matters during the conversation with the others. (My observation)
You need to annoy him enough to get him to call the cops on you ( I think that happens when you fail the QTEs that involve him in the story. There are several points in the story where the group think that a shadowed figure is following them on the road that actually just turns out to be Vince on the bike ... in those sequences if you fail the QTEs he'll get progressively annoyed. You'll know that you go it right if he shows up when the group head into the factory in the chapter "Ruined" and says "Hey! They're coming! You can't keep running! I'll make sure they find you!" ). That's my guess. You could also tick him off by shooting at him at the church.

When Anthony decides to suicide he still thinks that this is a dream so that's why his face looks calm and even not afraid. But when he doesn't suicide screen shows Anthony's face full of fear. In this case Anthony knows that if he pulls the trigger he will die
Missing 1 end that from what I saw no one took or showed in this type of videos but this end I will say if it exists and you can check it for yourselves in this end Andrew (Anthony) fails to commit suicide by running out of bullets to get it you must do the following. * first you must shoot Vince at the church door to spend his first bullet. *Second you must speak well with Vince at the door of the church so that the police do not take you. * third do not shoot Angela so as not to lose the gun * fourth you must save Taylor and Daniel in the part that the demons are attacking Daniel and Taylor you must shoot twice in order to save them for this first save Daniel and use the gun and then save Taylor with the gun. (there are 3 bullets). * fifth in the factory part you must hit and there when you want to shoot a second time a kinematics will appear that tells you that you have run out of bullets (because you only had 4 bullets). * sixth and last you must blame Mary so that everyone dies in the house and the scene happens of Andrew staying on the stairs of his house and there when he wants to commit suicide a click will be heard because he no longer has faults and he will drop the gun and be alone there outside his old house Here is a video of this end: ua-cam.com/video/2lPI1wE_QWQ/v-deo.html
Wait hang on, so I get Andrew was haunted by guilt over the death of his family so just like Silent Hill that guilt took form, so is Little Hope like Silent Hill? A cursed town that only torments those twisted by guilt? If not I wonder how the whole witch trial thing connects to him, so many questions, I am confusion.
theres clues in the game that show that anthony was very interested in the witch trials and that kind of history before his family died. thats why his modern-day hallucination of his father, john, knows so much about it, because he does. his brain after the accident, used all his knowledge of the witch trials and just deluded a situation where past versions of his family were involved in them. it was all in his head as a way to decide who to blame for his familys death-his little sister (aka megan/mary), the reverend who kept keeping her back after church (and was also probably abusing her), or the doll she used to cause the fire (aka the poppet in his witch trial delusion). it was all a way to signify his journey of coming to terms with his grief and guilt over not being able to save his family and not knowing why. none of it was real except for the house fire in the beginning of the game, and the bus crash.
little hope is just a regular ass town where his family died and he has bad memories of, so it triggered a mental breakdown for him when he found out he had to drive through there, which is why he started hallucinating passengers on his bus and a girl that looked like his sister in the road after the cop mentioned the town to him
If I were to hazard a guess if everyone dies in the house and you didn't get the gun then the ending would highly depend on your interactions with Vince - annoy him enough ( ie. mess up the QTE sections when he shows up, be curt to him at the bar, or shoot at him ) then he'll end up calling the police on you. But if you didn't bug him, he'll just tell to head to the diner.
These “oh it was all a dream” endings got me fucked up. It’s so annoying when that happens, and the living through past lives premises was infinitely more enticing.
I still believe the game makes no sense, because in the house incident which is supposed to be the true story Mary is evil. She talks to a monster and kills everyone on purpose. How does that make Andrew guilty?
Because Andrew isnt supposed to know that, that's why he still feels guilty, which is completly understandable. And there is no real demons with Megan in the prologue, it's just a girl who probably had a mental illness and that was neglected by her family. The demon doesnt actually exist, Megan was just autistic or skizophrenic (we can assume this with the collectibles we can find there with her bad grades and stuff)
The Bus Driver is Anthony and probably due to his family dying he must've had schzo or ptsd making him believe he was andrew so in short Anthony was just fucking crazy
The kind of ending where ''oh no, it wasnt real omg'' is the worst one. You trying to save everyone the whole game and then they just died because some stupid traits are not unlocked , and then it turns out that it wasn't even real at all WTF. Man of Medan wasn't great too, but at least there were some real enemies. If they will keep going with the whole ''not real'' stuff in further chapters it will be dumb. Until Dawn is still unbeatble.

@@leecameron9226 Not necessarily. The setup was pretty clear cut: witch shenanigans mixed with a reincarnation past-lives plotline. The problem was the writer couldn't figure out how to tie it up for a game that was meant to be four hours long and used the cheapest method imaginable in order to put an end to the story: the "it was all in his head" ending. Worst of all it invalidated the core witch plot and rendered every single character in the game meaningless. It was a bad move and felt tacked on, even when the writer went back and shoehorned in some hints at the beginning. They just felt clumsy and out of place as a whole. I don't abide endings like that for the most part. I can count two movies that did it better, one of which especially had the exact same twist, only much more effective. Everything else is just a pale imitation.
Am I the only one who noticed that older Anthony's voice at the beginning of the game is a completely different person than when you see the reveal? In the ending, they just use young Anthony's voice/Andrew's. I don't get why they didn't just stick to the one in the beginning.
Yep, there are a couple that I really missed, the one where Andrew was about to shoot himself and spirit Mary stops him, plus the other different variation of the "bad" end where everyone is alive walking towards the diner but then Vince is mad and has the cops arrest Andrew/Bus Driver.

What happens if The gun is empty? When Anthony is trying to kill him Self?
Hmmm ... that's actually an interesting question. There are 4 bullets in the chamber, so it is entirely possible to have none left if you use the two shots in the Chapter "Low Point" by rescuing Taylor, and two shots in the Chapter "Ruined" when choosing the Attack option, leaving you with no bullets. After that you'll need to not annoy Vince enough that he'll just say to leave this place and never come back.
My guess is that Andrew/Bus Driver will end up at the diner with slightly different dialogue.

@@ChengTeoh It may have been glitched, or a result of the dream itself, but Anthony still shot himself when I'd used all four bullets, two to rescue Daniel and then Taylor, then two to rescue Daniel later.
I threw the gun away. I got the Identity ending. Where the characters were the split personalities of the bus driver.
Theres 2 other ending variations , the gun can run out of bullets or you can also simply not pick up the gun

@Syeda Samreen Sam There's also a very Secret ending where you have no bullets. An example of where you can use them is at Vince, you also need to tell him that you were trying to help and that your friend is gone, in the fog with Taylor go Left and fail the QTE, and then Andrew will shoot, when you have to save Taylor or Daniel, Save Daniel, use the gun and after that you can use it for Taylor and then the last one is attacking when Daniel is down. Make sure to shoot twice even though the gun won't go off. So yeah. That's how you do it. Kinda similar to the no gun one but a bit more emotional.
Good Ending: Anthony learns to move on and finally lets go of the ghosts of his family.

The story is actually pretty good. This is how I saw it:
The fire killed the family at a wrong time in their lives when they all disliked each other and are mean and selfish to one another.
Anthony carried the guilt he shouldn't have because he had a hand in starting the fire. The guilt was too heavy for him so he blamed his sister ("blaming his sister" was his own demon).
And the "present" family was like his way of trying to achieve a happy ending that the original family never had.
It's important to play the characters and "unlocking the bad traits" to achieve this "happy ending" for Anthony, that his family learns to love and care for each other (heroic), overcome their bad traits, and supported Anthony by not blaming him in the end (at the diner).
As well as for Anthony to overcome his own demon by not blaming his sister.
This was his closure (that even in some hallucination/dream they were able to achieve happy ending).
That's why I like the (diner with everyone alive) ending the most.
Although, I don't understand how Megan placing the doll by the fire is an accident. Is this just assumed or is there a clue to unlock?
the whole concept of the game made me cry. it’s so sad 😩💔 but it gives you a perspective of someone with HEAVY trauma and/or schizophrenia 🥺. the way the series play with your mind is crazy

The main characters couldn’t “find a way out of the town”, because it was all in his head and he couldn’t “get out of his own head”.
Now that I think about it, this is sort of a mix between Man of Medan and Until Dawn isn't it? Although Until Dawn did in fact have some supernatural elements to it, one of the main themes were Joshua's (Rami Malek) schizophrenia and him combatting his illness- not being able to move on from the past hence he does the crazy things to his friends. Then in Man of Medan there was the hallucinatory toxic gas.
So now Little Hope had mental illness as the main theme that led to Anthony's hallucinations of pretty much the whole game.
I guess Supermassive's plan for the dark anthology is to explore all genre of horror. In Until Dawn, there was a real threat which is the wendigos, that's Supernatural genre. In Man of Medan they took the psychedelic genre of horror, everything wasn't real and it was just drug induced illusions while in Little Hope they took a psychological horror.

He will be at his lowest and wants to kill himself but because you saved the girl (your sister) she will stop you, you forgive her and know it isn’t her fault what happened. It’s pretty sweet. Ask again if your confused on anything
@Xalphire It's not her fault because Meghan was being manipulated by a priest (probably 70s Carver) in the Church schooling she was sent to by her family to probably help her problems, but instead of helping her problems it does the exact opposite since the priest was manipulating her in a way that made her think to set the house on fire. So in summary a priest was telling Meghan shit and Meghan wasn't getting the care she needed and just had enough and lit the house on fire.

There's another version of that last ending combined with the earlier ones. If you shoot at Vince, but still have at least one other member alive, Vince stops you and gets you arrested as you're leaving town instead of at the house and there's a fairly nice symbolism as the camera pans and the other characters vanish as the camera pans around Anthony.
I got this ending with 2 people with me but didn't shoot at vince.

For those struggling to figure out how to keep all characters alive, I've found that a major factor in keeping them alive involves the encounters with their demons.
At various points in the story, all the playable characters (except Andrew...and arguably Angela, but I'll get to that in a second), are given the same options when fighting their demons. Variations of "help me" and "leave me/get out of here."
You MUST pick the "leave me" options every time. A major part of the game's underlying message is that you must face your demons alone. If you pick the "leave me" option, that demon is never seen again after that encounter. There is a weird exception to this with Angela though. Her encounter doesn't outright say help me or leave me. You can coldly tell Andrew that he isn't fit to help you, or you can say that you trust him to help you. I've done both in two separate playthroughs, and Angela made it to the end of the game both times. I'm not sure what you would have to do to get her killed at the end (other than condemning Mary, obviously)
EDIT: Someone in the replies pointed this out, and I Googled it to confirm. Angela's big choice that determines her survival is shortly before John's. When John is fighting his demon in the yard of the ruined house, you're given the choice as Angela to either say "I'm not waiting for you" or "hurry up". You MUST choose "hurry up". Choosing this option has you wait for John rather than leaving him; thus showing your heroism and reassurance.
Many others have said that which characters ultimately survive has a lot to do with the traits, but I wasn't actively doing anything one way or the other trait-wise.
EDIT: I've found that the traits DO matter, but only if you choose not to have the characters face their demons alone. In the game, you're presented with locked traits. Throughout the game, you can unlock negative traits through your responses (by "unlock" I mean that the negative traits are locked into the character, which is something you DON'T want. The fewer traits that are locked in, the greater that character's chance of survival is). I had previously thought the traits didn't mean much because I had the characters face their demons alone. Just now, I've learned that all the traits instantly unlock for the characters that face their demon alone, which guarantees their survival if they make it to the ruined house (provided you don't condemn Mary)
In my second playthrough, John, Daniel and Taylor all faced their demons alone and I found the bible with Priest Carver's markings (that's a requirement for condemning Carver, if I'm not mistaken. EDIT: I looked it up and I'm not mistaken. It is indeed a requirement). I also refused Vince's drink in the bar (I've heard this has an impact on the ending as well. EDIT: I've found that accepting the drink instantly locks in a negative trait for John, so if you ask for help during his demon encounter, accepting that drink might end up killing him).
EDIT: I know that if you condemn Mary, all characters except for Andrew will be killed in the ruined house regardless of how many locked traits they have and regardless of whether or not they faced their demons alone. However, if the characters did not face their demons alone AND you don't condemn Mary, that's where the number of locked traits determines that character's survival. I wasn't able to find any clarification online for exactly how many negative traits that each character is allowed to have and still survive the game. But I did find that, apparently, condemning Carver allows each character to have more locked traits and survive than if you destroy the doll. Destroying the doll does not necessarily spell doom for the characters, but it becomes more likely. But, again, NONE of the stuff regarding traits matters if all characters face their demons alone. I also found out, interestingly, that the more locked traits you have, the harder the QTE's become. If you have a bunch of locked traits, the late game QTE's can become nearly impossible. All the more reason to make sure you face your demons alone.
I included the word "edit" next to all the bits of information that I didn't know when I originally commented. This is to reinforce a point that I'm gonna make right now.
In my second playthrough, all the characters made it to the end. And I managed to do it while not knowing anything that says "edit" next to it.
My point being that you make things a LOT simpler if you just face your demons alone. If you do that then you could, like me, save everyone while knowing hardly anything about the survival mechanics (the traits, least of all)
Maybe the Angela exception is because, whichever option you choose, Angela doesn’t technically fight the monster or ‘face her demon alone’? She just runs away every time, but all the other characters fight.
Still, I don’t get why that means she survives, it should technically mean she dies. But it explains why there’s no difference between choices.
Watch for Example Hollow's Playthrough. He didn't realise about the demons. So he got them killed.
My theory is that since Andrew didn't play a role in attempting to help his mom, that Angela is incapable of facing her demon.
For everyone else, Andrew had an active role in trying to help and then witnessing their death.
Even Mary had a demon (Pastor Carver) but since she was so young, she was incapable of standing up for herself. Andrew feels guilty about not doing more, so in Little Hope the best ending is doing what Andrew regretted not doing.
@@dawsonstalker2330 You raise a very interesting point about Anthony not helping his mom or witnessing her death. It can't be a coincidence that the mom in the prologue and Angela are both outliers in their respective situations.
People can say what they will about the game, but the subtle hints and parallels such as this one are awesome

The true ending for this was so shocking and it subverted my expectations in a way that left me discussing this tremendous ending with my fiancée who played this all the way through with me
This wasn't no game, it was an experience and it truly has to be Supermassive's best story telling yet. This blew my mind and everything leading up to it was high staked, tensional and really solid. I love little hope, this raised my expectations greatly for the future titles
Im pretty sure these games are like the twilight zone in game there are 8 games planned so I'm guessing the other games will have a deeper meaning until dawn is the only game where the things happening were real

The experience WAS Andrew's demon. He carried the burden of a closely-following demon with him on those years.
When he was forced to confront his demon -The Little Hope fire tragedy- he had to choose whether he ran or he accepted it.
John, Angela and Daniel have instances where if they face their demons, the demons stop following them. This is ultimately the way to get the good ending.
Ok im not sure if everyone notices this but their deaths to their “demons” are the same way in the house they lived in that got burned for example

Well, not literally knew it, but I had like suspicions that the others weren't real because as soon as the game started, I was like "Wait. It doesn't look like anyone is on the bus." and I noticed how there was no sound or voices of someone in the bus aside from the driver, at least before the bus was stopped. You would expect there would be chatters or something, but nope. No voice or anything until after the bus was stopped.

Because at the start of the game when their house caught fire, Anthony chose to save his older sister or Taylor (forgot her real name) instead of saving his little sister, Megan if I'm not mistaken. When we are told to choose between the two of them.
We chose Megan in our play through, and she died anyway. That line remained the same.
Regardless, she dies. Andrew just feels the most guilt about her death because he was the only one who stuck up for her.
Her 1970s name is Tanxa
The demon following Anthony's little sister was representing of the evil priest Carver who had influenced her just like in his delusion. everything you play in the game is somehow reality to reality. the "secrets" you find in the game are not really secrets, they are pieces of reality that your character(Andrew or Anthony) doesn't know that are there to help the player form a better understanding of the overall plot. But to sum it up the girl was innocent, it was the priest's corruption of her that lead her to acting out and burning the house down. HOW MUCH BLAME CAN THE CHILD TAKE??? all of it??? And the rest of the game is Anthony trying to slay his "Demons" and forgive himself for what happened.
i just realized that the people around them during the trials were faceless.... crazy lol
My ending was different than all of these and different from ones in the comment section too haha. I just played with a buddy of mine and got an ending where the only one alive was Anthony. We had the gun with bullets remaining, and burned the girl. Everyone died in the house, but we didn't shoot ourselves or even pull out the gun in the final scene. We went to the diner and just had the flashback and that was it. A sort of "medium ending" all of our schizophrenic friends died and Anthony left peacefully

I was hoping it played out that from the past the little girl was killed as a witch even though she was innocent and spoke out to the devil to curse the town to make the inhabitants of little hope live in a loop of despair and darkness. The same people killed over and over until the cycle was broken for example saving the little girl from her fate in the past
It honestly felt like they tried too hard to force a twist ending to me. Like i get it and I get he has ptsd and stuff but this feels like the whole play through was pointless in a way.
Not to mention the fact that the whole witch trials were pointless. Was him mixing up the towns history with his own past in the 70s? Idk i loved the game but would have loved a supernatural element like in until dawn. Man of medan made more sense with the gas but this i feel like a reincarnation thing where they're drawn back to the town and forced to keep dying the same way over and over
I hate twist endings like this where something ends up all being inside someone's head. A lot of times it just doesn't work for me. I liked a lot of the spooky stuff in the story but knowing that none of it really mattered in the story beyond being used as a coping tool for a a schizophrenic PTSD suffering bus driver sucks. Why not play more off of the demon at the very beginning that his little sister is talking to? Having almost the entire cast be imaginary in a twist ending just makes me look back on a story and not give a shit about any of the characters.
Dream twists are the hardest to get right. They got this one wrong.
this game is best than medan but the endings are disappointing. it gets hard for me to play again and try another ending because like you said, it feels pointless
The thing i am asking myself is, what that devil thing at the beginning of the game was. When the little girl set the house on fire by laying the doll on the stove there was a creepy hand next to her. That couldn't have been a halluzination because that was before the trauma.
Anthony has a Witch Trials era figurine in his bedroom, and he's in a town affected by it. Having played multiple endings, i say the twist if best suited to a neutral ending, where everyone else dies, but Anthony/Andrew condemns the correct person and saves Mary. that ending single-handedly redeemed the twist for me. Otherwise, I'd agree that the twist should've been ditched in favour of maintaining the supernatural element of the story.

The bad endings honestly seem like what would actually be the ending if it were a horror movie. Sort of like a message that if you continue to grieve over something it can kill you from within

it is silent hilly as hell, probably given some inspiration, the 2 troubled souls met there as well. Also perhaps some demonic influence since the priest may have been a cultist and the child posessed or under bad influence is the rational explanation. Also the way he crashed when he saw a girl and then woke up in a foggy town ? that's literally a silent hill reference.

It's funny how this game has a different game mechanic than MAN OF MEDAN (I know there are way more consequences in UNTIL DAWN, even though i haven't played it but watched it)
So i've escaped every single monster encounter, everyone lived, blamed the reverend Carver , saved Mary, but whenever people leaves the house Taylor (Red haired girl) stays in the house and gets R'd because she felt "FOOLED" and "INDECISIVE" (Burden locks)...Wow, sorry for not choosing the right options when they might lead one thing or the other with lack of description of what they're going to say..
Not gonna replay the entire game because of this, but thanks for this vid.
I think that if you go against their character type they'll end up getting knocked out at the end. It's interesting to see how each character has a physical reaction at certain points in the game if you've chosen to go against their type - from my experience the more opposite they are the more physically labored they seem to be for specified scenes.
Yeah so in my playthrough with my friend (playing online) my friend decided to ask for help when Taylor was getting strangled (as anyone would). But then she died at the end and my friend was fumming to find out THAT decision killed her, no matter what other choices were made in the game. She felt cheated.
What decisions save Taylor? Which traits of hers are good?? I think I have deceitful and something else and she got killed. So annoying though because the entire game I was just making her positive and agreeable. John died too, probably because I burned the doll, but I cant figure out which traits save them.

i've read a few articles that said that the ending where tony killing himself to atone for his mistakes is the good/better ending, but i can't help but think that the ending where everyone lives and vince is good to tony is the *good* ending. tony comes to terms with his tragedies and accepting that it was just an accident in this ending and it's a healthier way of dealing with guilt and grief than the ending where he kills himself, i feel like.

Thank you so much for providing the other endings. I will most likely never play it myself as I can’t afford it. But I have watched other youtubers play it and I was curious what the other endings could possibly be.
There are I think a few other endings where Mary saves Andrew/Bus Driver from shooting and other slightly different variations of the "bad" ending where Andrew/Bus Driver and "everyone" survive and are walking towards the diner but then Vince gets the cop to arrest Andrew/Bus Driver.

Okaaaay I guess I did not see the twist coming but... I feel like, to me personally, the way the story is told doesn't fit quite well to the ending with me. I wish there was a little more focus on Andrew himself, and maybe a bit more foreshadowing and signs to what's really going on. Maybe I just missed it, but I feel like all those witch trial flashbacks kinda lose their meaning really, or don't really have much to do with what is going on with Andrew here.
Maybe i am not understanding everything right, but idk I kinda feel a little bit underwhelmed by this twist when looking back on the game...
Still was interesting though I guess! And i do like the general themes and messages it has!
There is some foreshadowing/signs, but it’s not really obvious, only is when you go back and watch.
I noticed that when you’re hiding from Vince (thinking he’s a demon at first) IF you miss the QTE, Vince says “Stupid old fool”.
Also in the bar, you think Vince is replying to John whenever he talks but it’s really only because Andrew repeats everything John says.
There’s probably more I missed along with Vince not seeing the demons, etc, small things like that.
Think of the witch trials as heritage from his home town being used as a way for him to cope. The court hearings are probably his actual court case where the town thought he killed everyone. It was his ptsd flaring up in some severe ways.
There was alot of foreshadowing.
As the story went on, characters from the past were dying the same way they did in the 70s. It's obvious that "the cycle" repeats itself. It's then your job to undo the cycle by saving Mary.
The story also leaned heavily in the direction that Mary was inherently evil and not controlled by Carver. In the 70s, every family member condemned Megan (the counterpart) except Andrew.
Andrew's biggest regret is not helping Megan. Megan was plagued by her own demons, that being the 70s equivalent to Carver, as he likely had a inappropriate relationship with her. He even writes the family telling them that she's fine when in actuality she was probably suffering from psychosis.
In the best ending, the Curator seems disappointed that you got a good ending and isn’t that happy. I mean, he is the personification of Death, so that explains it!

I had that ending where I saved everyone only to get killed by all those demons and the at the end Andrew re-lives the memories of his haunted past. I think for me this is the best ending as there is no sugar coating past traumas and at the end of the day Andrew accepted he can’t change the past only the past changed him.
And then shot himself
You get the good ending if at least 1 companion survives, you save the girl and you don't shoot at Vince. It sucks that it's basically the same if you save all 4 or just 1. The only difference is that the curator aplauds you if you save all 4.

01:00 Ever noticed that in this scene, all bystanders who don't talk, expect the executioner is a puppet?
He felt guilty causing his whole family died, he then becomes mentality unstable. His mind is in chaos when he accidentally need to drive to " little hope" again.
The story made up in his mind is to protecting him from recalling his guilty, like the movie"SPLIT".
Those bus character is real for him, saving those "character" can relief his guilty so his mind can be back to the reality again.
the book keeper told several times "find the bus driver", it was saying find himself

I try to get the good ending to save everyone. I save Mary and 3 people got killed when the demons kill them.
If you had the people die while inside the building then my guess is that you didn't pick up a couple of key secret items ( ie. the key from the grandfather clock, or the "No 1. Dad keychain" in the store - remember that those two items were seen during "The Family" chapter ) needed for them to be able to leave the house. Hope that helps out.

I figured it out u have to choose the heroic options with everyone
to save everyone, you have to unlock all their negative traits. if you go onto the menu with the characters, negative traits are locked and can be unlocked by doing actions that are opposite to them. Essentially what you are trying to do is have everyone fight their inner demons. i.e. Taylor is known to selfish and rely on other people. By doing stuff on her own and helping others you will unlock her negative traits. Keep in mind thst doing a negative action in the game can lock traits and it's why you see the traits in the eyes of the demons at the end
There is one more ending that is almost the same as the last one where (Saw from RadBrads channel) Idk if who dies matter or not but in the vid Taylor died and andrew and his imaginary family walked down the road they did when everyone survived. While walking Vince comes and blames Andrew and he gets arrested on the road
I didn't achieve the happy ending because the game really doesn't like to tell you where to aim in the fight scenes, which means that I failed whenever I wasn't supposed to hit the monsters on the head, and that I'm not going to replay it.

the one thing i still dont quite understand. if he was being charged with the murders why was he at the funeral and not arrested? and if he wasnt being charged for it why does he end up getting arrested? (unless its a psychotic hold but it still feels really odd) still loved the story either way tho, at least something good came out of 2020
The chinese, at the beggining, saw him with the matches and he thought Anthony was responsible. So when he reffered about it to police, Anthony got arrested. That's why the chinese was rappresenting the puritan judge in Anthony mind.
He was a suspect due to being found with with matches by the asian dude , so they took him in and was put in a cell and interrogated. Meanwhile they sent actual fire expert at the house , and the expert concluded that the fire was not criminal but accidental , so they release him and then they have the funeral , they didn't immediately burried the bodies since you know , possible murder case .

The "judge" saw Anthony with the matches so he assumes he started the fire. Then the fire expert cleared him so funeral etc... He became a bus driver and got outta there. Beginning of the game, he hits his head in the accident and this plus the guilt plus being back in the city, he loses it and hallucinate everyone.
If you're mean with Vince, messes up qtes when he's there and shoot him (combination of those or all of them), he thinks Anthony's unhinged or crazy and call the police (I doubt there's any hospital/mental facilities still working there). The officer, based on his testimony, thinks he's a danger to yourself or others and voila... back of the car for you. As for the assassin's line of dialogue Vince serves you at the end, I think Anthony is just hallucinating it, wich wouldn't be surprising (since you know... he hallucinated 4 whole people all night long).

Let me explain:so the bus driver lived in little hope with his family but they died in that house due to a fire which he set on and he blamed himself. When he had to drive through little hope he got crazy from his guilt and crashed and then he just started seing illousions. The guy from the bar was his friend and also blamed him. When he sees him again he either lets him go or cals the cops on him.Litle hope was a real town he just didnt want to go back thats why he went crazy those people were his dead family all in his head (probably PTSD)

Is there anything else in particular you are supposed to do to get the good ending because I did EXACTLY what was done in this video for the good ending (saved Mary and called out the evil priest) and Angela, John, Taylor, and Daniel all still got locked in the house and died to their demons.

Now that I've seen the whole game, I remember details that make everything make sense like no modern day version of Megan, Andrew didn't have a demon, the mannequins in the background, the wounds on the characters like Taylor. The answer was there the whole time.
Technically, the whole story is Andrew's demon and he's "facing" (coming to terms) with it.
So with the characters dying inside the house how the traits are locked into their eyes does this mean we went against who they were suppose to be as characters? It has me confused 😅
I'm still a bit confused about it myself after all this time, lol. The only sure-fire way I know of to have them all die in the building is to condemn Mary, and/or to miss picking up the two items related to the keys.
@@ChengTeoh What if those traits actually represent the characters from 1972 before they die? In other words, whenever a character gets killed in the present time, the trait will appear which corresponds with the one at 1972.
Edit: there's a possibility that these traits also represent Anthony's negative traits (when they die) since the 4 characters are likely to be the representative of his good traits. If these good traits die, it might add fire into Anthony's sickness situation. Just my guess.
One personal question. What happens when you condemn Mary but you did pick up the two items related to the keys? Will all the characters survive? Or the house falls apart anyway and all characters die?
You're supposed to let them fight their doubles by themselves, by assisting them their traits can't be fully unlocked therefore killing them anyway.

this whole game is just a mirror to what happened to his family, and there are so many clues you can pick up by this. in the flashbacks to the witch trials, it shows how megan had a role in each death of the family (thus everyone blaming mary for accusing them of witchcraft, leading mary to be accused herself because megan did end up setting the house on fire). the role of the doll being the source of “evil” during the witch trials, which mirror back to how the doll caused the house fire. carter taking mary in, which is refering to his future self’s letter to anne about megan’s rebellious behavior in the future, and offering aid. one thing that i think makes it all more tragic is andrew losing his friends and professors in the final scene of the house, implying how there was nothing he could do to save them, no matter what. it was doomed from the start. i also want to mention how if you get deaths throughout the game, the monster and the bodies disappear, just proving earlier on that it was all in his head. (edit: i saw this somewhere else , where taylor keeps pushing for everyone to split which refers to letting andrew move on and let go of the past, but it doesn’t happen) and i’m sure there is more than that, but those are what i managed to pick up. it’s all really dark when you think about it, but this game itself is way more thought out than man of medan was
But what about the ghost that we can see at the beginning? Who was talking with the girl (we can see its hand)

'72 Megan/Mary was tutored by the '72 reverend, who was into the occult, and likely taught her about the things he knew. Megan likely daydreamed/imagined that part thanks to him.
All those locked bad traits being shown in the eye of each monster seems that it really matters during the conversation with the others. (My observation)

I think you read somewhere in the game that he was into magic and demonology. That could explain why he had those symbols if he was studying it

What’s the choice that decided whether Vince let’s the cops get you or you getting to the dinner?
You need to annoy him enough to get him to call the cops on you ( I think that happens when you fail the QTEs that involve him in the story. There are several points in the story where the group think that a shadowed figure is following them on the road that actually just turns out to be Vince on the bike ... in those sequences if you fail the QTEs he'll get progressively annoyed. You'll know that you go it right if he shows up when the group head into the factory in the chapter "Ruined" and says "Hey! They're coming! You can't keep running! I'll make sure they find you!" ). That's my guess. You could also tick him off by shooting at him at the church.

Missing 1 end that from what I saw no one took or showed in this type of videos but this end I will say if it exists and you can check it for yourselves in this end Andrew (Anthony) fails to commit suicide by running out of bullets to get it you must do the following. * first you must shoot Vince at the church door to spend his first bullet. *Second you must speak well with Vince at the door of the church so that the police do not take you.
* third do not shoot Angela so as not to lose the gun
* fourth you must save Taylor and Daniel in the part that the demons are attacking Daniel and Taylor you must shoot twice in order to save them for this first save Daniel and use the gun and then save Taylor with the gun. (there are 3 bullets).
* fifth in the factory part you must hit and there when you want to shoot a second time a kinematics will appear that tells you that you have run out of bullets (because you only had 4 bullets).
* sixth and last you must blame Mary so that everyone dies in the house and the scene happens of Andrew staying on the stairs of his house and there when he wants to commit suicide a click will be heard because he no longer has faults and he will drop the gun and be alone there outside his old house

Wait hang on, so I get Andrew was haunted by guilt over the death of his family so just like Silent Hill that guilt took form, so is Little Hope like Silent Hill? A cursed town that only torments those twisted by guilt? If not I wonder how the whole witch trial thing connects to him, so many questions, I am confusion.
theres clues in the game that show that anthony was very interested in the witch trials and that kind of history before his family died. thats why his modern-day hallucination of his father, john, knows so much about it, because he does. his brain after the accident, used all his knowledge of the witch trials and just deluded a situation where past versions of his family were involved in them. it was all in his head as a way to decide who to blame for his familys death-his little sister (aka megan/mary), the reverend who kept keeping her back after church (and was also probably abusing her), or the doll she used to cause the fire (aka the poppet in his witch trial delusion). it was all a way to signify his journey of coming to terms with his grief and guilt over not being able to save his family and not knowing why. none of it was real except for the house fire in the beginning of the game, and the bus crash.
little hope is just a regular ass town where his family died and he has bad memories of, so it triggered a mental breakdown for him when he found out he had to drive through there, which is why he started hallucinating passengers on his bus and a girl that looked like his sister in the road after the cop mentioned the town to him
But what if you get the bad ending but didn't find the gun?
If I were to hazard a guess if everyone dies in the house and you didn't get the gun then the ending would highly depend on your interactions with Vince - annoy him enough ( ie. mess up the QTE sections when he shows up, be curt to him at the bar, or shoot at him ) then he'll end up calling the police on you. But if you didn't bug him, he'll just tell to head to the diner.

These “oh it was all a dream” endings got me fucked up. It’s so annoying when that happens, and the living through past lives premises was infinitely more enticing.
I still believe the game makes no sense, because in the house incident which is supposed to be the true story Mary is evil. She talks to a monster and kills everyone on purpose. How does that make Andrew guilty?
Because Andrew isnt supposed to know that, that's why he still feels guilty, which is completly understandable. And there is no real demons with Megan in the prologue, it's just a girl who probably had a mental illness and that was neglected by her family. The demon doesnt actually exist, Megan was just autistic or skizophrenic (we can assume this with the collectibles we can find there with her bad grades and stuff)

The Bus Driver is Anthony and probably due to his family dying he must've had schzo or ptsd making him believe he was andrew so in short Anthony was just fucking crazy
Now no sense in replaying it, it's just "Meh, they are not real and they change nothing"
The kind of ending where ''oh no, it wasnt real omg'' is the worst one. You trying to save everyone the whole game and then they just died because some stupid traits are not unlocked , and then it turns out that it wasn't even real at all WTF. Man of Medan wasn't great too, but at least there were some real enemies. If they will keep going with the whole ''not real'' stuff in further chapters it will be dumb. Until Dawn is still unbeatble.
Yeah, it's like Arkane Prey ending... It's a good twist sure, but overall it's annoying and ruin the replay value.
It's not about the characters or the demons it's about Anthony and trying to let go of his past.
Weakass twist for an otherwise solid game. More setup would've helped, or just doing away with it completely.

@@gilbertgotfried to me the game actually sucked up until the last hour atleast the twist gave it something it was missing a deeper meaning because it was just the same jumpscare repeated 10 times the part with the chains where Angela dies outside is cool and horrifying tho, plus the voice actor of the professor and the dude whos like a jock was really off and made the game more hiliirous than scary and the story was just random for the sake of it near the beginning
@@leecameron9226 Not necessarily. The setup was pretty clear cut: witch shenanigans mixed with a reincarnation past-lives plotline. The problem was the writer couldn't figure out how to tie it up for a game that was meant to be four hours long and used the cheapest method imaginable in order to put an end to the story: the "it was all in his head" ending. Worst of all it invalidated the core witch plot and rendered every single character in the game meaningless. It was a bad move and felt tacked on, even when the writer went back and shoehorned in some hints at the beginning. They just felt clumsy and out of place as a whole.
I don't abide endings like that for the most part. I can count two movies that did it better, one of which especially had the exact same twist, only much more effective. Everything else is just a pale imitation.
I can't believe Supermassive went for the all in the head ending again just like Man of Medan. Ruins the entire experience of Little Hope.
Am I the only one who noticed that older Anthony's voice at the beginning of the game is a completely different person than when you see the reveal? In the ending, they just use young Anthony's voice/Andrew's. I don't get why they didn't just stick to the one in the beginning.
Why is Vince so mad for he legit lost a girlfriend while Anthony lost his entire family like simp of the century on vinces part

Yep, there are a couple that I really missed, the one where Andrew was about to shoot himself and spirit Mary stops him, plus the other different variation of the "bad" end where everyone is alive walking towards the diner but then Vince is mad and has the cops arrest Andrew/Bus Driver.
Wtf guys (?) I saved Mary but ended up watching everyone die but Andrew and Daniel (?) This scenario is not in one single video I saw online... There wasn't Taylor with Andrew when Mary was accused, there was Daniel and he escaped the house with Andrew, but everybody else died... Anyone same scenario?
