honestly they should stop including their crappy wired earbuds as well, which are also left in the box... I think they will stop doing that, as soon as they go portless in near future... apple users will just get a phone and maybe wireless charger with the first generation, after that just the phone.

      __
²apple works very hard to make sure their spare parts are not provided to everyone not authorized for repairs and even if authorized you still need proof that you are ordering the part to fix a phone, not resell the part. I have replaced the battery in someones iphone 6s, and while it was easy, that has disabled touchid.. which makes zero sense, as the touch id was never touched, it's just apple being assholes as they are.

These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.

I can see that you are a man of taste for having a Hakko. But I would've expected nothing less from Apple. Next time, take apart a Bean.

And if so do you have any specific machine suggestion? Im new to that side of phone repairs and was wondering if you had any suggestions

What I used to do when I used to repair my wired earphones when they didn't work (like one earphone no working) I would just cut the earphones outer cover off and then do the sodding/ attaching the cables and then glue the cover again and if I am carful enough there's no traces of cutting on the cover are left and it's good as before.

You need heat to pry the bottom of the airpod and alcohol to remove the adhesive as well..Done this already and is a pain in the rear.Especially without a magnifying glass stand.
