I believe any format (except for NTFS) will work - but let me know. If not, then AFPS or the other Mac formats (MacOS Journaled etc) should definitely work.
Try see if it shows up in Disk Utility (on Mac), or download Disk utility software if you use PC, then format the drive. Otherwise, try get a replacement!

Don't see why not - install Steam on there and make them run off the SSD. We have a few programs installed on it and it loads 3-4x quicker than HDD (easily).
Talking Technology dell precision m6800. I took out the FirePro 6100m and put in a Gtx 1070 non max-q, 16gb ram (four dimm slots) , it’s got two Sata 3 raid 0,1 and 5 (I think, for sure raid zero). So yeah for storage 2 x 1tb 860 evo raid in raid 0 , 5tb hdd sata 2 (no sata 3 available there) in optical bay, then an m2 2242 512gb ssd and a mini pcie half height 256gb ssd. I’ve read the speeds of the m2 drives can be faster than sata 3 because of some widening of a bottle neck, I’m going to be making a video of this all works out like it theoretically should cause ive got a 1080p touchscreen for it now as well. It’s about the most bad ass build I could come up with for the budget and parts I already had on hand. Also it has a SIM card slot and spot for a WWAN card so I suppose it could be used like a cell phone? I’m not sure but I plan on finding out. Edit: ordered a WiFi 6 ac/ax by 5.0 which I don’t even know what Wi-Fi ax is but again, guess I’ll find out.
Pretty sure you can - just install the game on the external drive and see what happens. Shouldn't be a problem to install files to this, just like installing on any other external drive. Hope this helps

I had a wd 4tb hdd that got spoilt on the first fall from my bed. So planning on an SSD now. So Will this survive fall from the table etc. ???
SSD are way more reliable because they have no spinning Disk inside. That makes them more shockprove.

You may need to re-format on the PS4! Go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices and "Format as Extended Storage". Hopefully that works?!
