There's something about watching someone who doesn't usually listens to metal, get into it and actually enjoying it! It makes me happy!!!🤘🏻🖤
They have HUGE influences from other music genres. The reason they have a DJ is because they are big hip hop fans.
Def should check out some tracks off their latest album - "Unsainted," "Nero Forte," or "Spiders."
Unsainted for sure!!!
@@ameliaredick3015 Would love a react of Metabolic
YOOOO NERO FORTE EASILY THEIR BEST SONG ON THAT ALBUM
RIP Joey and Paul
This video was the first time they put out a video that they weren't wearing their masks, even though they still obscure their faces. This song also won them a Grammy, their first.
What was their first Grammy win?
@@frankiesayspanic I looked it up. Turns out I was incorrect and it was their first. Editing my post.
@@virus640 oh ok, I was just curious! Thanks!
One of my absolute favorites from them! While I keep suggesting avenged sevenfold, but it should also be mentioned about their drummer. ‘The rev’. He passed away way too soon, but left behind a legacy as many people’s favorite drummer and for good reason. Can’t recommend it enough, and I won’t stop anytime soon. Thank you so much for another amazing video!
That's wrong to say. He left the world as fans favorite drummer. You won't hear many drummers mention him. At all.
@@bongzilla4172 that’s fair that you feel that way. I know many people that still admire him greatly to this day. I hear him mentioned fairly often. Obviously without the ability to produce more content to amaze people, plenty get distracted by what is new and interesting. Doesn’t make him any less loved though.
If you wanna hear Slipknot at their best, check out their Iowa album: “Heretic Anthem”, “People=Shit”, “Disasterpiece”, and “The Shape” are my favorites off that one.
Recommendation: And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope - Ne Obliviscaris
Heretic anthem and people=shit, definitely!
Also wait and bleed, yeah I actually like that song 🤣
Oshit, I better like and comment the video.. Before I forget..
this or wait and bleed were the first tracks i heard from slipknot back in the day, bangers!
My first song was Psychosocial and then I listened to everything else. My son still can’t believe I listen to Iowa willingly lol. He underestimates me!
Its interesting you mention the turntables, they're a little less noticeable nowadays but if you tried anything off of their first two records you could hear it SUPER well.
This is when slipknots style shifted. From the red album/Iowa style to this.
Yeah Joey jordison absolute legend.
Continue to love David breaking down some of my favorite songs and finding things I never even thought to look for... only making my love for the music that much greater. Keep up the great work!
Congrats on the sponsorship! That's awesome. Love the videos. 🤘🏻
I dove into Slipknot and listened to all their albums a little bit ago, and I'm just now realizing how underrated the song "AOV" is. It's phenomenally structured, and the energy makes me wonder why it hasn't been one of their bigger hits. If you could unpack that one, I would very much enjoy it.
Well I was PLANNING on working and then this video popped up lmao.
priorities! am I riiiiiiiiiight?
Slipknot - People = Shit. That was is one of their best songs. Definitely a side of the band you just gotta hear to see how different they sounded one album before this one.
Music Shed is my HOME
Welcome home brother!
Slipknot has 3 drummers, so that helps
True, but they really aren't doing anything too complex, they're mostly just there to add weight to the drums. All the cool fills and shit is Joey and now Jay.
Slipknot makes me proud to be from Iowa. Great reaction to an amazing song, you’ve quickly became my favorite reactor 🤟
Been a while since i clicked so fast!
Is that a new intro? I like it!! I love this song so much. You should check out more off this album like Danger, Keep Away, and Vermilion Pt. 2 🖤🖤
(Can’t wait for Jinjer too!! 🖤)
Yes another slipknot classic ❤️
Lmao classic slipknot its without corey taylor when vocalist was anders colsefni and mfkr and crowz and painface albums classics!
@@Zhanibek.S i still define it as a classic slipknot song regardless who was involved.
@@KillTheCrownSTW it was firstly created in 1997 with name Carve after Anders Colsefni join Corey Taylor and he changed speed tuning lyrics and name + road runner records in 2004 they changed 'carve' to 'before i forget'. Same with 'sic' . 'Slipknot- slipknot mfkr' created in 1996-95. When corey taylor join to band in 97, he changed old songs. For example speed, tuning, name, lyrics.
@@KillTheCrownSTW just listen this one 'carve' from album crowz without corey taylor.
ua-cam.com/video/p-sP0NuUgGk/v-deo.html
90% songs from slipknot created in 90s years but it was demo! They created public official in 2000s
Notification squad! Can't miss this one
Slipknot is awsome 👍
Wait no way your 52 man, you look so good for your age. Great video as always
I was 4 when this song came out but from it being in Guitar Hero 3 it became one of my favorite songs and one thats still so nostalgic for me
RIP Joey Jordison, such an iconic drummer!
yoo this has always been my favorite slipknot song! im enjoing the cleaning out the shed series, its never too late to find older music
Never ever
Eyeless
Did you know he is also front man for Stone Sour also? Listen to:
Stone Sour - Hesitate
Stone Sour - Through Glass
congrats on the sponsorship!
Thank you!
The only gripe I have with this version of the track is it's plagued by the "Edit metal music videos of the 2000's for no good reason" sydrome. It's only the bridge section that's shortened by a repetition, but I think it builds & flows a lot better in the studio version with a more "toned down" take on that bridge part before coming up the octave on the vocals with a little more instrumental intensity for that 2nd repeat & then building to that big final chorus.
5 By Slipknot, please!
Also, Starset - Bringing It Down, Manifest (Live)
I thought I clicked a Mighty Jingles video with the intro song LOL
Finally more metal!!
Good shoe choice! And song choice! This video was the closest we got to seeing them without their masks at the time, pretty cool. Not metal or older music, but I’m gonna keep asking you to check out grandson!!
First like POG
You should absolutely check out GOJIRA, a couple recommendations are definitely The Art of Dying and Flying Whales
I own this, thank You Sensei love it arigatogomeshita .
Snuff is actually a Slipknot song, he did in that set
52?! GOOD LORD MAN, you dont look a day over 35
YESSSSSSS!!!!!
I think to understand truly why they are as musically diverse as they are, you need to peep some tracks off Slipknot or Iowa. They were a completely different sounds back then, some would say almost a heavier Limp Bizkit kind of thing.
Between The Buried and Me - Ad A Dglgmut will be one of the best songs you could react to.
Should do two songs from this album..
Vermilion parts 1&2
One is slipknot at their best full on and very very creative and genius lyrics..
Second part is a little more melodic and deep and totally different.
But the same. Different lyrics but both connect and tell a story together..
And two absolutely killer videos..
RIP Joey jordison
Fun fact: The guitar part of the half-time part is a quote from Paramore's Misery Business. There is a version of this song that is longer where it's more obvious
Ummmm no... This song was made in 2004, Misery Business came out in 2007. This song predates Misery Business by 3 years.
@@dimmy1987 Thanks for setting me straight! It must be the other way around then, the parts are too alike for it to be a coincidence
@@christerfurberg7720 Now that could be. Cool find if true.
Olivia Rodrigo's entire song "Good For You" is a quote of Misery Business
You should check out royal coda, it's a band conformed by people related with dance gavin dance, like their old vocalist Kurt Travis, pretty different voice compared to Tilian's, Will Swan, Sergio Medina, Joseph Arrington on the drums and Steffen Gotsch on bass. My favorite track is becoming the memory, they have a pretty similar style to DGD, however it's unique in it's own way. Love your educational reactions!, you always give some cool facts I didn't even knew as a fan, keep up the good work.
Hi David! Great reaction, as always! One suggestion, if you have doubts about turntables in general. You know the acoustic version of Snuff, now do the original Slipknot clip version. You will see the difference and the amazing Sid Wilson aka. DJ Starscream in action. I think he does an amazing addition to the song that you will surely appreciate. But I still have not forgiven You for not reacting to Soilwork (A whisp of the Atlantic), or Annisokay (Bonfire of the Millenials). But this would ease the pain...a bit.
LETS GOOO
You have mentioned the drumming in multiple slip knot videos, so it’s worth mentioning they use additional percussionists in order to fill out and vary the sound even more.
Good info!
If you've mentioned the reaction to snuff I will say this: I find it kinda sad most people eeact to the live solo Corey version. It lacks a lot of what makes snuff beautiful to me. I like the live version, I cried when I watched it the first time, but over time I prefer the album version...
Having said that, I love Before I Forget and thank you for this video. Joey and Paul both sadly gone now, they are now one with the maggots (too dark?).
Your content is top notch and you deserve at least 10 times the amount of subs you have.
If you've made it this far, allow me to suggest non-rock stuff (If any of these gets an episode I'll honestly be so fucking happy) :
Mr. Bill - screening
Edit - ants
Skrillex & Diplo - jungle Bea (aero chords remix)
Well man haha that fill is very simple but as you said it’s insane. But it is really simple. It’s 4 on the snare 2 on the kick in a 16th triplet
Some songs feature their DJ or Sampler more than others.
I thought you were going to be doing a 5 by of Slipknot? I've been checking every Monday for weeks hoping to see it lol
While Disturbed broke my metal cherry with 'Stupify' and 'The Game' being put on DBZ movie soundtracks, this song really had me thinking "Oh yeah, metal is the genre for me", when I first heard it on Guitar Hero 3.
And as usual, you have a great reaction and breakdown of a song I love. I would definitely recommend the 'Iowa' album, particularly "People=Shit" or "Left Behind", for the cleaning out the shed series.
Would love to see a breakdown of from can to can’t. Not so much a breakdown but a view of a song you know!
I LOVE THAT SONG
Sleep Token - The Love You Want
React to Wait and Bleed, Purity and Spit it Out please!
Your comment about the drum following the lead guitar made me think- this was something that Led Zeppelin were known for, and it was something very different at the time. And I know that Led Zep are often considered inspirations for metal, and I guess this is one of the ways that they did inspire metal. I just hadn’t really thought that this was one of the specific things.
And that really thundering, galloping drum, that’s something that I hear in Led Zep too.
Absolutely
I'm a self taught musician primarily, never learned basic music theory or fundimentals for any of the instruments I play (Sacrilege, I know). Started with Drums, learned by putting on my fav songs and playing along by ear, and eventually after attempting to get into lead guitar I realized I'm more of a Bass person, and when I got my bass I started doing the same learning strat as I did with drums, and one thing I've noticed is with Bass I not only follow the bassline of a song but the drumline as well, incorperating the drums into the bassline I'm improvising as I go. One of my favorite things to do is mimic the super fast kick drumming right before a drop, even if it's just an open E string being beat half to death with my pick (Yes I play bass with a pick, fight me), it just adds to the fun and as someone who loves my music to sound dirty as all hell it works perfectly with the right distortion settings on my amp. Of course, I don't claim to be the best musician or even a good one, I'm decent at best, but its cool to know I'm not the only one who loves meshing instruments like that, and I'll admit I never really thought about how this song does it so well
Awesome!
@@MusicShed Many thanks for the hearts and the reply! Always cool to see creators doing their best to interact with their fans, and you sir have more than earned my sub!
Love it❤ maybe react to the Trauma album of I Prevail? And the album Below from Beartooth :)

I need that you check Post Boredom by Every Time I Die, a fun song with cool vocal melodies and riffs
ik you guys said iwrestledabearonce Cats Pajamas was on the list but is it possible to get it bumped up for next week? 🙏
Motionless in White "Thoughts and Prayers" has an insane Slipknot vibe. Check it out.
DEFINITELY check out Spiders from their most recent album!!
You should check out the band death. Particularly spirit crusher by them
Nice reaction, by the way, Snuff is by Slipknot not a Corey solo career song. Slipknot have some more slow songs like Vermillion and Vermillion pt2.
If you like Corey's softer stuff, check out Through Glass by Stone Sour
You should check out - Don Broco - One True Prince - such a masterpiece
Have any videos on Mushroom Head?
I would be interested in seeing what you have to say about them I found your channel because of the Slipknot videos
Cory may have canceled some of his solo dates, but Slipknot just played Rocklahoma last night & they sound great (several videos posted on YT) They’re scheduled to play Inkcarceration Friday night. I haven’t heard that any Knotfest Roadshows have been canceled or postponed.
WOOOO!
If your looking for more metal to react to Polaris - Masochist is a banger
7:24 me in my high school with my undeducated ass trying to tell our drummer what we wanted lol
Nero forte is an excellent song from their latest album. Check it out it’s cool.
You need to do To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore

So I am a fairly new sub and I don't know how you get recommendations, and I also don't know if you do reactions to instrumental tunes but I would love to see your reaction to Enemy by Ichikoro.
