Bob your video is the most helpful I have ever seen for how to do this. You extended unedited time helps to understand how long it takes. Please do not edit your videos they are great as they are.
Thank you for the well filmed repair. I have a request to complete this job, and had few facts as to hours, difficulty. I was surprised to find the clutch components as not truly high priced. So, as just a bit of difficult complexity. And where minor needed parts might be a bit longer to source. Great tips as spot lube and alignment....truly an assist to where I may venture. Regards. McGary
And here I was thinking I was going to have to pull the subframe and/or suspension.. Bob coming in with another great video! I know we aren't all at your level BUT, how long would it take you to do this job straight through if you didnt have to record and whatnot?
Hi Bob im not good at writing in English I have 2002 mr2 spyder 1zzfe 6 speeds sequential transmission, i want to change my clutch and do i need to reprogram the computer after installed? Thank you
You say to not lube the input shaft splines but by my repair manual says to apply a very thin layer of spline grease to the shaft splines. I am confusion lol
@@BobPham just a quick question, I’m having issues with my clutch, I’ve installed a brand new master cylinder and bled the hydraulic system I can see the slave cylinder push the clutch fork whenever I depress the clutch pedal so it looks like it’s not the hydraulic system but for some reason I can’t get to any gear when the engine is on but when the engine is off I can freely shift gears smoothly. I’m suspecting it might need a new clutch kit. Any ideas? Thanks
@@Silvertheta could be -defective master or slave where it pushed the not far enough. I had 2 bad brand master where it leaked internally before. -clutch pressure is too much clamp load issue where the slave can’t pushed it far enough. -bleed it again until no bubble. My slave video will show u how I do it with no bubble
@@BobPham ok great will try bleeding it again and if it doesn’t work I will try replacing the slave cylinder before I drop the transmission for Internal inspection. Thanks again

Thanks for what you do, Bob!
The more MR2 content out there the better IMO. It doesn't all have to be edited to perfection.
This is awesome Bob, going to have a video for almost everything that needs to be changed on our cars! Thanks!

Wow cuz this is great job! Congrats and keep it up.
Bob, 23:00 the workshop manual says to grease the spline with spline grease. Not to leave it dry.
Hi bob where did you get that diagram on your phone with all the torque figures ? Awesome vids helping me alot put mine back together again 👍👍👍😁

What’s the bolt size and thread are those transmission bolts? I’m looking to make the same as you did
What type of grease did you use to lube up the clutch fork and shaft?
Did you remove or disconnect the intake manifold ?
Hey bob can tell me what the rest of the transmission bolt torque specs I can't seen to find it anywhere.
It’s in the video near the end

Sorry I never done that. Try asking the mr2 Spyder Facebook groups.
Thanks Bob
Great video tutorial 808!

I did that before. I put Very thin layer like they said. It spread all over to my disc pads and ruin my clutch disc “ slipping “
I can't seem to find where the grounds go onto the transmission and I don't know if where I put mine is a good spot.
what brand clutch kit are you using?
I had my own custom kit made and sell dyno and road race test. . More info on my Instagram @BobMr2 if u need some. E153 or s54 mate to a 3sgte
