Every Dragon Age game has had a different art style. This is still too cartoony for me, but at least everyone's faces aren't shiny and plasticy like they were in Inquisition.

Morrigan is wearing Flemeth's clothes! That must mean she drank from the Well of Sorrows in the default world state (for the lack of a better word).
Or she's hosting mythal now. IIRC There was a decent stretch of time where there were at least 2 versions of flemeth running around. One of them could have linked up with her and body surfed.
Now can we talk about the whole "blighted" gods thing? Sounds like the evanuris got trapped in the black city.
Not necessarily. Flemeth sends the wisp of Mythal to Morrigan through the Eluvian regardless of the choice at the well. You could still have a Morrigan that didn't drink from the well that could have inherited Mythal.
There is no default world state apparently. You will be forced to make at least some major choices at the start, or so I've gathered. They haven't been specific yet, but they said there's no 'canon' which makes me think no default either.
There is a better word. It's called canon.
The graphics are insane. Hope my GTX 1060 3GB can handle this.

The darkspawn in Veilguard are theorized to be a corrupted form, presumably by Ghilan'nain, the creepy, tentacle-looking eleven goddess - who is famous for experimenting on things and creating horrid creatures. That's why they look so different. different. Again, just a theory.

@@Etheral101 Yes, and that was Mass Effect. My point is that the Dragon Age started with in-depth tactical mechanics to the gameplay that many players could grasp and enjoy, and with each new game more and more of that has been removed. So much that now they're basically just insulting your intelligence when they say that there are too many abilities. Inquisition didn't have half as many abilities as Origins did.

Looks like they’re going for an ME2 style story - with your character going across Thedas to recruit a team. I’m intrigued!
They confirmed that the maps/missions will follow ME2 style in scope and scale. This won't be open "world" like Inquisition.
I'm for the thing that made Bioware big...just here's hoping they can make it work considering how much talent they lost over the years...

Blighted old gods, no less! And, given that one of the blighted old gods is Ghilinain - a sort of mad-scientist, mother of monsters type who experiments with fusing creatures together - the body horror will be top notch. I'm so hyped!

No, this is set like 10 years later
The protag (your character) is Rook. You will, however, be re-creating your Inquisitor in the CC when you create your Rook - because the Inquisitor will be (confirmed) in the game. (Side-note: Every DA game has a new protag.)

Feels like with the protag stand in in this trailer they've done two things. Gone for the most likely to be picked character option (male human warden warrior) and also tried to emulate the warden warrior from the origins trailers just a little bit. And then with the reveal of the Blood Dragon armour? They knew they needed to drag something back and they did well! Great trailer.
Feel like they should have showed way more gameplay by now if this game is coming out in 2 months.

Yes they changed the name to Veilguard but its the same game.
Pre-order has the blood dragon armor. Makes me hope that we can get the Champion's armor as well. Maybe not as a Pre-order but like a fun little side-mission. Oh with the Trophy/Achievement called: Feel like a Champion!
