- Side two track four from Lesley's third vinyl album, 'Everything Changes'.
Lesley Duncan died on March 12th 2010 at the age of 66 after a long illness. Her music is simply beautiful, a genuine evocation of other years for many a middle-aged teenager. It will be a treasured reminder of her for many years to come for all those who were close to her along with those of us who, sadly, only knew her through her music.

So good to hear this track again. What a fabulous sound, that brass arrangement with Lindsay's voice. Took me straight back 50 years, so poignant.
I bought this single from a bargain bin mainly because I remembered she was a backing singer on Dark Side Of The Moon. It was a lovely surprise.
A brilliant talent. Worked with Dusty and Elton, but sadly didn't get the recognition she deserved. This is such a haunting song from a great album. She's up there with the best.
My favourite Lesley Duncan track. needs to be heard by many more people today.
Lesley, this was your masterpiece! God Bless!
Loved her songs. Takes me back to being a 20 year old
"If we were wise... in love we'd rise. Still we fall in love and it's the fall I'm thinking of..."
+Vimana Powerful clever lyrics.
Let's hope that the project mentioned comes to fruition asap-she was and remains a beautiful talent.
Thank you for a superb upload and a first class video.
Hi .
Your question is both easy and difficult to answer - it is not possible to buy new pressings of any of her albums, singles or CDs. She produced five albums, only the first two of which, "Sing Children Sing" and "Earth Mother" were ever released on CD (in 2000 / 2001). A search of Amazon will provide you with opportunities to buy either of these, but very expensively. Vinyl copies of her albums and various singles are available from time to time (again through Amazon or on eBay).
At last 3 albums on triple cd and great price off amazon.
Glorious song - brings back so many memories both good and sad. When will this album ever come out on cd?
Bob - it has now been released on CD - as have all her studio albums, along with some of her singles. Everything Changes is available on Amazon UK, as are her first two albums, sold as a double CD with bonus tracks, under the title 'Sing Lesley Sing'. 'MoonBathing' and 'Maybe It's Lost' are also available - cheapest source is probably HMV Japan (cost approx £14 each plus shipping.)
Good hunting!
JVEDesigns thanks very much for that - have ordered it now.
Bob Ballard just bought her 3 albums off amazon for £13.69. Waited years
Ditto! Sadly missed.
WATCH THE TEARS
It's cold alone
So far from home
Will I ever see
What my life has made of me
I win and loose
Don't seem to choose
Will I ever know
Why I let the best things go
Watch the tears come falling down
See me hang my head in shame
It hurt me more to see you cry
Oh I really tried, not to hurt you that way again
It's all the same
A foolish game
Crying as I leave
Worried by the webs I'll weave
If we were wise
In love we'd rise
Still we'd fall in love
And it's the fall I'm thinking of
It is also possible to download mp3 tracks via Amazon (but only the single versions of "Love Song" and "Everything Changes" from various compilation albums) or via iTunes (who also have the excellent "Hold On To Love" from the "Exiled" album on which Lesley sang a guest slot).
But the news is not all bad - there is a current project under way to bring as much of Lesley's music as possible into the digital era. News of progress appears occasionally at the Lesley Duncan Yahoo Group (lesleyduncan4scorner) or on the facebook group page (groups/lesleyduncan/)
Hope this is useful.
Best wishes, and keep listening!
Be patient my friend I have many like to do with this woman and her voice...However thank you for these choices.
....thank you....wasn't she great..??
Yes, she was!
