To Nnoitora there is no fun in fighting, only killing. To Kenpatchi it's inverse. He has no fun actually killing his enemies but is driven to do so because...well it's not just a last name. Anyone who bears it will be gifted with crazy bloodlust. The truest incarnation of Death any Soul Reaper is allowed to evoke.
Now remember how easily he bodied Ginger man and ran his face into the sand.
But then lost to Kenny Chan with a 2nd hand gripping the blade. No power ups at all.
Then somehow Ginger man can overcome far better fighters just shortly after. Namely Espada 0.

@@JoNNyCLOUD171gingerman had just finished multiple fights, including the last one against another Espada level arancar, so he was pretty tapped out by the time he fought Nnoitora. Kenny is fresh and uninjured, and he had to resort to using kendo because he couldn't beat Nnoitora normally. And through this whole fight, gingerman is being healed and restored by gingergirl, so his improved performance later makes more sense.
You'd think Nnoitora would realise that if his opponent can match him one-handed, and switches to two hands because two hands are stronger than one, then it's _probably_ a bad idea to run right up to the guy who suddenly got a whole lot stronger than you by using both hands.
Nnoitora should've taken the hint after Kenpachi's eye patch came off. Dude lost clothes and gained power. Should've given him pause since there were so many other garments ready to be shed 😂
Would think he would realize after the seal and the bells on his head that he was holding back whole time kenpachi wasn’t using his best hand at play which is truly scary to realize

@rawrimsobig Nnoitora is Suicidal and actually wanted to die but he always have the instinct to keep on living and be the strongest which is why he seeks to die in battle, that is why he loves to seek fights whenever he can, but he hates it very much when someone spared his life after defeating him and called those people weak for not killing him
Which is why he hate Neil so much as not only she spared Nnoitora's life but she also keep saving him whenever he is in danger.
Nnoitora is basically like a Suicidal version of kenpachi and weaker too

Kenpachi was darn near Saitama before Saitama was a thing. So ungodly powerful he never had ANY sword powers before the very end of the story, but was easily on par with bankai-wielding captains. Hell, he beats Nnoitra by going "Alright, I'll actually start TRYING now.", and straight up ONE-SHOTS him.

@@SurrealParkour Unohana had to die for Zaraki to unleash his full potential. He suppressed it the entire time and him killing her was the only way to realize his hidden insane powers. I don’t believe a simple name transfer would’ve work considering they’ve been intense rivals and have a confused wicked history with each other

Gosh the hype I felt when Kenpachi showed up was off the charts
yup, same when he showed up in the zanpakto arc
I actually screamed his name out loud when he showed up, I was so hyped, it was such a good way to patch the small Nel shaped hole in my heart after she turned back into a child
He's an anti- Worf. Instead of losing battles to show how powerful the mc is, he wins them to show how far the mc has yet to go.
Crazy thing is, not only was Zaraki subconsciously limiting himself, but also was using the special eye patch to limit him even further because he was too strong even when he was suppressed to begin with
The man just wanted a good fight, that's all, and we can't blame him for that 😂

Patrick Seitz does a great job as Kenpachi nowadays, but David Lodge’s performance is the best.

God, I remember the amount of hype I felt when I first saw Kenpachi show up to save Ichigo against Nnoitora. Then you see that Byakkuya and Mayori come to save the others as well and 💩 was about to get real.

I felt the opposite back when I watched it as it was airing. "Why bring all these weak ass Captains in to fight when they couldn't beat a teenager?"
The Captains got a plot boost to their levels and it made zero sense to me then and still doesn't now. They had been around for hundreds of years at that power level. Ichigo humbled them with mostly Shikai lmao. We can chalk it up to bad writing but still, the Captains should've stayed in Soul Society
Also I felt like the artwork was beginning to take a dive in quality. It started looking like One Piece and that artstyle is IMHO personally one of the ugliest and visually unappealing

Out of all the Espada who fought, Nnoitora went the longest without using his released state.

The problem is once you're using an arm on each side of the body, you'll have greatly diminishing returns since the power increase from using 2 hands to swing comes from the full bodies aid and not the arm alone.

One of the most fun fights
Is there anyone more badass in bleach than Kenpachi? The guy's broken af to the point he subconsciously sealed away most of his power so he'd enjoy fighting more. Then he puts the eyepatch on which seals even more power. I wonder had Yammamoto done what Shunsui did in getting him to unlock his powers how many Espada he would have taken down. Anyone above 4 is a gonner if you ask me. The only one who could trouble him would be Ulquiorra.
I think Ulquiorra would have lost to Kenpachi faster than the battle with Ichigo, if Kenpachi had unleashed his full power at that point.
No, because that is the same as saying if Ichigo had his true powers, he would have also defeated the Espadas as well. Ichigo had to go full hollow to beat Ulquiorra, do you really think Zaraki fully unlocked is at that level? If yes, then there are still 3 espada above him. If no, then he doesn't defeat Ulquiorra.
Let us look at the other evidence: Ichigo at half bankai with no mask was equal to Unohana (reiatsu). She confirmed this herself. Compare that Ichigo to full hollow Ichigo. Unohana is nowhere near the level of top 4 Espada. Zaraki is, but depends if he can control himself in bankai. If the top 4 were alive during TYBW, I am sure they would have trained and received power ups as well.
I believe once he masters his shikai and bankai, yes, he becomes stronger than the Espada in 1v1.

High instances in seireitei don't want to teach him kendo (kenpachi never learned proper swordmaster Technics) because they are scared of the power he'd obtain, making him almost unbeatable, and if he went out rogue on them they couldn't control him. Zaraki without his eye patch, at full power, by that I mean actually trying to get things done efficiently, would definitely beat ulquiorra. Ichigo needed Vasto Lorde to beat him, but that's before fullbring and stuff.ichigo was far from bad, but where he'd have died to nnoitra, all it took for zaraki is to handle his sword two-handed. In all honesty it's kinda dumb to try figuring these things where fights are clearly there for the narration. Even more so with characters that are overly op like zaraki, it's badass and cool, but shouldn't be comparable to other characters. Dude was fighting equal of first kenpachi (unohana if I'm not wrong) when he was a kid.

You do understand that's Kenpachis thing? He tries to be slightly weaker than his opponents but can't help himself.
For instance....he lost to base shikai Ichigo but destroyed hollows despite the GIGANTIC difference of power.
It's by design, and not to show helps top end isn't insanely high if he fought a stronger opponent. He'll just keep raising to match them.

Man, I miss David Lodge's characterization of Kenpachi, such a charismatic badass. Why didn't they bring him back for TYBW? Seitz is good enough, but he plays other major characters making his voice too easily recognizable... Whereas Lodge IS Kenpachi Zaraki.

I love how the arrancars were almost like they were made to be direct counters to the Soul Reapers. Nnoitora is basically the Arrancar equivalent of Kenpachi, and even has an eyepath. But while they're also equivalents, they're also still opposites. Like Nnoitora pulls underhanded tricks, while Kenpachi is almost always more for clean fights.
I like how Kenpachi got such a huge power boost in TYBW that this fight would have ended in one slice lol

The fight with Ichigo was incredible but vs Nnoitra it was Kennys best fight, broski showed he was truly bloodlust and could take the hardship of a ferocious battle, his evolution past this point would be no surprise since he has friends that can tease "The good side". Kenny now has bankai and the man is stronger then ever before. I love Kenny and hes by far my favorite captain. Also 9:36 Santa Teressa is lit.
