    Nicely Done. You may want to mention that, when disconnecting the battery, always disconnect the negative lead first. This way if the tool you are using to disconnect the positive lead touches the bike frame, you don't have any sparks or melt the tool you are using. When connecting the wires back to the battery, connect the negative lead last.

    Thank you for the wonderful video. I installed the Amplink on my 1997 Honda Pacific Coast. It really makes wiring up accessories such a breeze. I control all the circuits from my smartphone. I am only using 3 circuits at this time. For the circuits I am not using, I turned them off. I used the always on wire to go to the battery tender. I will add a couple of more circuits later. Much easier than wiring up a relay, fuse block and ground block and much smaller. No more worrying about blowing fuses and replacing them. The PDM60 is a very good unit but the Amplink is great.

    good stuff, I'm glad to see they updated the PDM60. I installed one on my brother's bike 2 years ago and when you are putting a bunch of electrical on a dirt bike to convert it into a street legal bike, these are great!

    Thank you my brother! Dang good video! I will be getting one for my Honda ACE750. I have Boss Bluetooth speakers, I have Boss 2 channel 200 watt amp running my 2 pioneer 6.25 speakers in my hard bags, and a cigarette lighter, USB port, voltmeter all in one unit on the handle bars, with this unit I can clear up a lot of wires, and get ride of the relays! Thank you, and many blessings to you and your family 2020.

      Yeah it was pretty easy, I think just seeing all of the wires leading to the module and trying to understand what Aron from Rowe electronics was trying to explain to me when I talked to him on the phone just made it confusing to my brain 😂 but once I started the project and got the wires out of the way that I knew I didn't need for my install it went along really easy.

    Very good video and he certainly makes it look easy. I am currently in the process of installing an Amplink PDM and it is anything but easy. At least for me. If you are familiar with electronics and wiring in general, you'll have no problem. If, like me, you have no clue about what a 'trigger wire' does, etc. you are in for a steep learning curve.

    • @Touringmidwest
      @Touringmidwest  3 роки тому

      You can do it! It takes a bit to wrap your head around all of the wires, but for me once I got past that it went pretty easy. its pretty intimidating to look at. If you run into anything that catches you up just give the guys a call at Rowe and they will explain it, nice guys there.

    How do you attach aux lights to trigger with high beams?

    • @Touringmidwest
      @Touringmidwest  4 місяці тому

      You need to attach a trigger wire to highbeam switch somehow.. that is beyond my knowledge level I’m afraid.

    Do you still have the Amplink? I am using 2 outputs. One for my radar (output 1) and output 2 for my Garmin Zumo XT. Output one works like it’s supposed to but output 2 tells me it’s off on the monitor side. I don’t see where I can turn it on. How are you triggers setup? I wonder if that is the issue. Thank you for your time.

    HI there i just bought the unit but not able to pair it up via bluetoothe the Amplink doesnìt show up in the bluetooth list at all... any suggestion i tried to contact the guys at Rowe but no reply... i also ive in the UK and a shipment back would be expensive so want to be sure if is my unit defective or maybe i did something wrong but i mean is jusy hook up to poer the green led stai fix and that should be the time of pairing but no way to have it in the bluetooth list i also tried with anothe phone but same thing bit disappointing any suggestion would be well welcome cheers

    • @Touringmidwest
      @Touringmidwest  4 роки тому

      Keep trying it should show up at the very bottom of your list, make sure that your phone is searching for a Bluetooth connection, If you can't get right away you'll have to turn off the ignition and then back on. Other than that I am not sure. The guys at Rowe are very helpful so keep trying to get ahold of them as well if you continue having issues. I honestly have not tried the app in a long time because it's set up and I don't have to worry about it but when I originally set it up I think it connected right away.. wish I could be more help but I cannot think of anything else that would keep it from connecting.
