I guess because they knew the album would end up on UA-cam regardless, so they wanted to put it out themselves and have control over the process.

    lyrics
Metallica - Spit Out the Bone
Come unto me and you will feel perfection
    Come unto me and dedicate
Come unto me, you'll never feel rejection
    Come unto me and terminate
Remove your heart, it's only good for bleeding
    Bleeding through your fragile skin
Remove your thought, 'cause it's only for deceiving
    Deceiving thoughts destroy within
Disappear like man was never here
    Long live machine
    The future surpreme
    Man overthrown
    Spit out the bone
Plug into me, I guarantee devotion
    Plug into me and dedicate
Plug into me and I'll save you from emotion
    Plug into me and terminate
    Accelurate, utopian solution
Finally cure the Earth of man
    Exterminate, speeding up the evolution
Set on course a master plan
    Reinvent the Earth inhabitants
    Long live machine
    The future surpreme
    Man overthrown
    Spit out the bone
    The flesh betrays the flesh
Your man has had his time
We lay him down to rest
    Machines the new divine
    Stop breathing
    And dedicate to me
    Stop dreaming
    And terminate for me
    All meaning
    You dedicate to me
    All feelings
    You terminate for me
Disappear like man was never here
    Long live machine
    Our future supreme
    Human overthrown
    Spit out the bone, yeah

This is one of the songs my grandma asked to put on when I drove her home from her sister's house. At first I thought she was kidding so I asked her, to be sure "you mean the song I stopped when you came in the car? Mind you, it's pretty aggressive". She was not kidding, apparently I made her discover metallica and she loves them. She literally adores S&M 1 and 2

@@asmodai2025 yea I know i tried but I think she likes metallica in particular because their songs are the easiest to listen to, especially the lyrics since James doesn't scream too aggressively. @Mahmut Ebrar AçıkVEVO Yes, but 1. Rob came up with the riff if I remember correctly
      2. Bass solo that's the same as the guitar riff has happened before in metallica.
In orion, you have the bass solo after the guitar part in the beginning, and once that bass solo stops playing, the guitar plays the same riff. And the interlude bass solo, there is a very quiet Clean guitar playing the riff so no.

Well, I heard it this very same year after listening to every single Metallica song in order, so, to me, this song was just yet another masterpiece. In fact, most of the songs I've heard when I was younger are not within my favourites. I know I heard Whiplash playing Tony Hawk, for example, and also a lot of other songs from Guitar Hero: Metallica, from which I only remembered Enter Sandman and Frantic. However, most of my favourites come from the last 3 albums rather than the old ones I may have heard when younger

    Deceiving thoughts destroy within
Disappear like man was never here
