  • It all begins with a critical oversight: failing to check the refrigerant charge before starting the installation. This simple yet crucial step sets off a chain reaction of complications, as the HVAC technician realizes they're ill-prepared to tackle the task at hand.
To make matters worse, essential equipment is missing from the service truck. The absence of brazing rods leaves the technician scrambling to find a solution, while precious time ticks away. And just when it seems things couldn't get any worse, disaster strikes: the nitrogen supply runs dry mid-braze, leaving the technician in a precarious position.
Amidst the chaos and frustration, valuable lessons are learned. The technician grapples with the consequences of their oversight, vowing never to repeat the same mistakes again. Through perseverance and resourcefulness, they navigate the challenges, improvising solutions and salvaging the installation despite the setbacks.
But beyond the technical mishaps lies a deeper journey of growth and self-discovery. "I Forgot How to Install A/C Units" serves as a reminder of the importance of diligence, preparedness, and attention to detail in the world of HVAC. It's a story of humility, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in the face of adversity.
Join us on this eye-opening exploration of the highs and lows of HVAC installation, where every setback is a lesson learned and every challenge is an opportunity for growth. It's a journey that illuminates the path to becoming a better technician and a more conscientious professional in the ever-evolving world of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Speaking of AC. We pumped down a unit a few days ago and found a dead snake across the capacitor terminals. It fried the terminals and itself but the unit kept running. It had been in there a while.

Man not to sound like a pro tech but you really need to flow nitrogen when your brazing and wrap your valves to prevent getting too hot, wouldn't worry so much about flushing the line if its the same refrigerant and you pull s good vacuum
