If that doesn't show you how much of a toy compared to a Stark these are, I don't know what does. Great video.

That’s what makes them so fun! 😄

True, huge difference between them. That said I think for most people they will become way better rider spending a year or two on the light bee then getting something fast as learning to carry momentum transfers to riding fast bike where just having a fast bike lets you develop bad habits and depend on power alone. I know my speed over the last 3yrs has grown exponentially getting the light bee and racing it and riding woods and allowed me to try things I would have been scared to do on a full size bike like hard enduro. Nothing wrong with having a toy if it can be used as a training tool, similar to what people did back in the day with stock pitbikes to learn to carry momentum

@@mrskywalker115amazing response and so true! Yes all these bikes are very different and each one of them exponentially fun in their own way, but something about learning to stretch and carry momentum on a lightbee is an amazing skill to learn!

Man that Stark is a beast - much more like a full size moto. You can see it roosting every time you twist the throttle.

someone who has never been on a dirtbike or either of these ebikes, they both seemed to perform bout the same to me. Stark may have been a bit more aggressive but for your non-competitive people wanting to cruise on trails and explore, surron seems like a good candidate

Curious what your guys' experience with the belt vs chain drive is for stock light bees. I sold my LBX but couldn't ever find a happy place with the belt, riding in mucky mud seemed to strip easily. Meanwhile the chain was nice, but loosened a ton and was a constant PITA to adjust. Would love to hear Chargeds' experiences, opinions and tips + tricks. The belt + chain issue was a primary reason I sold my bike for a gasser, until battery tech improves for my personal usage needs.

We’ve found that for stock power most of the time a belt does good, however there are scenarios like you’ve mentioned that they tend to struggle. There’s some cheap chain drive options on the market but we’ve tested heavily on extremely high power bikes the warp 9 420 chain drive that we sell and have found it’s reliability to be incredible. The lightbee in this video was on a belt, the light bee that was modded was on that chain drive. Also if you’re doing a lot of riding in the woods have you looked into an ultra bee? It’s one of the most fun trail bikes we have ever ridden. We love our gassers and they will always have a special place in our hearts but the fun factor and reliability of an ultra bee is incredible!

I own an Ultra, HEAVILY Modded LB and have ridden my buddies Varg, and another's Alta. The Varg is definitely in a league by itself so far, but the Ultra is definitely a contender. The Alta was as close to a Varg I felt. The modded LB is getting close to an Ultra, but will never be as good a value as the Ultra, especially if you are 5'-8 or more. If not, definitely pick up a modded LB from someone that just upgraded to an Ultra and is dumping it.😉

Is this 12 kW mod LBX setup? Just curious. Stark Varg seems to be way faster. p.s. good riding!

Appreciate it! The light bee was running 25kw in this video, however he was not riding extremely hard and opening the bike up more than half throttle, laptimes could definitely compare to the varg on a better hot lap but all in all yes the stark varg is a big machine with a lot of power and capability to put that power to the ground!

Wonder how the Sting R would do compared to the Mod LB?

      8kw vs 25kw… the sting r wouldn’t stand a chance

Man if the track was more stock Surron friendly I would definitely get my 5 buddies to make the trip from Vegas for the race but the jumps are little too big 😂 stock bikes will get wrecked trying to clear some jumps if you come up short

The only electric bike worth riding is a stark varg
