Thank you guys so much for covering this. Our sport is very small and there are very few of us still in the game compared to how it was in the early 2000s so every bit of exposure to keep the sport going is a great help.
@@Dadofdirt It's not a problem, these machines have heavy duty belt guards but on stock chassis machines like what I race, there's enough material between you and the belt that it usually just destroys your belly pan worst case scenario.
TRC continuing to impress me and raise the bar with their videos. This really pulled me in especially since I'm from Wisco and have never been to a snow outlaws event. Thanks for helping shine light on all types of different racing.
Incredible video! Having grown up in Michigan's upper peninsula snowmobiles were a big thing. First new machine we had was 14hp Johnson then the dual exhaust Evinrude 16hp version. (1967-1968) My last Snowmobile was a new 1975 Polaris 500 Triple air cooled (that felt fast lol) and to think now they have 1000+ hp machines is unreal. This gotta be the best snowmobile related video I have seen!

Built motors for a handful of years at a race shop. Seeing someone put their hand over the exhaust to feel the heartbeat made me smile, our motors didn't have electronics at the time. It was all sight, sound and feel. Great video!
Thats the difference between snow outlaws and Carnival racing haha.... Real stand up professionals here. Middle ground imo at least back in the day is what (I assume the snow outlaws would remember/idk if theyre still big, not so much here in Canada anymore) is COSDRA / Yankee Zephyr... iirc they did a duo hosted event in cobden WAYYY WAYYY back and that was one of my first times drag racing sleds on a 440 sno pro. Professional events but the odd meathole lol. Like the guy said above the light shed on this event from TRC is what it needs. I myself got out.. family that ran 10+ sleds, improvers, mods etc all over canada/usa at times even got out... Still a few friends/family friends that are hard into it & next year I plan to get back into it, not sure if itll be drag where the specialty is with most of my connections or snocross/hillcross/hillclimbs in general which we sorta touched a few times but nothing compared to the amount of drag we did. Either way the high end competition like this is nuts & even before I could walk I was bombin' around the yard on sleds growing up and I'll still never touch one of these even if offered LMAO. Would shit my thong as they say. Straight mudfloss. Noooooo thanks. Ill spectate HAHA! Bring Snow Outlaws hard into Canada :D

It's for sure alot more dialed than it used to be back in the day! Running on sand huh sounds like the Moore brothers outta Texas that rode for team polaris on atvs and got their hands on some sleds from polaris when they seen x games freestyle done on sleds and HAD to do it. Sad story there with the older brother but a vengeance story with the younger brother coming back yr later for gold and kept pushin even harder every yr. Pretty sure those guys ran them on sand though in texas when they first got sleds HAHA. Look up haydays grass drags! or any other grass drags. Grass drags are a ton of fun and we used to attent LOTS of them! Basically thermostat leaves the building, a battery operated pump style cooler (like a drink cooler LOL) full of ice water and quick disconnects on rad hoses on the sled each run you just load the ice in and run it through the sled. Im sure theres grass drags somewhere near u!
@@OverwatchSIX I've seen maybe 3 or 4 nasty two strokes head down the eighth mile on a slick tread at SIR, and I don't know who he was, but he went all out nasty at glamis on turbo sled and he upset almost every dirt bike on that hill back in 2014

We used to have two 1975 Harley Davidson, 398 cc, back in the day. However, they did not sound like that. Flash Forward: I love snowmobiling with every fiber of my body and soul. It is the freest I have ever felt in my entire life. Just me and the machine understanding and reading each other's inputs. Always makes me feel joy. I hope I explained this well enough.
As a guy who grew up cutting pro trees on 800 IMP stock, 800 stock and 1000 IMP stock, I'm so glad to see sleds getting love on this channel. Feelsgoodman.

These sleds are insane! I've been riding and messing with sleds for 20+ years now and I keep getting blown away every year by the newest and fastest sleds (and cars)!
This is super cool! Gliding over snow on these lightweight machines is amazing and great fun for people liking bikes, drag racing and winter landscapes.
Amazing! I’m no mechanical expert, but it’s incredible how these machines are designed and built by hand from the ground up and how wonderfully built as well. Some people really know what they’re doing!
In 93 I drag raced a dirt bike on a 500ft clay drag strip. They had 4 wheelers with snowmobile engines in them that were insane fast. Those were some good old days.
Thank you for doing this type of coverage on the snow sports. I'd love more on each racers setup on whatever they would tell you. Great racing guys love the drive to start the sport and at multiple tracks too all made each year
I am a car guy first and foremost but anyone with a passion for racing cars will be entertained by any motorsports competition and most likely partakes in several other types. It is great seeing all the different types out there, waverunners, bikes/4 wheelers, side by sides and now snowmobiles.
Hypersports isn’t too far from me and I’ve been over to do some detail work on a couple of their sleds pre-delivery. Every single one is a work of art and a technological masterpiece IMO.

Two of my buddys actually raced ones ninja 600 and the others 90s mxz 600 in the summer (mxz was on grass bike on road) and the mxz whooped on that ninja. Beating their Polaris 650 Indy’s! Man they would get pissed! I can only imagine how much it cost to play this game! I’ve been to Hay Days more than a dozen times. Have to admit. Haven’t followed for the last 20 years. The achievements are absolutely incredible to me! I love it. Nice work everyone!

These guys are savages!! It's one thing to do 1.0 60's strapped into a caged vehicle running 160mph+ out the back... It's a WHOLE different game when your holding on to a 400lb rocket ticking off times like that. Hats off to these gearheads!!
Wow. Well we have regular drags, water drags, grass drags and even asphalt drags with sleds here in NY. I still had no idea anyone took it this far though. F'ing awesome!
These are all 4 stroke, but they're not anywhere near what a stock sled is. A normal turbo 2t will try and dislocate your shoulders when it finds traction. These boys must hit the gym to be able to hang on.
I spent many weekends as a young man doing grass drags and ice drags here in michigan everything from the kitty Kat class to the 800 class. I wish we never would have stopped.
