- Part 2:
This is the first actual wash of my new .2 GT3 RS. I've had it a little over a month now and I've been driving it quite a bit. For this wash and talk I wanna go over what my plans are for the car and long term projects I'll be doing.

Stay tuned for more crazy!
I don’t have dreams of becoming a billionaire or owning a Lamborghini, I just want to be able to mess with my car whatever it is and not have to worry or have anywhere to be.
My favorite part of the Wash and Talks are when you start verbally addressing comments and emails during the drying process.
I feel that there is some sort of Bob Ross vibe to this videos.
Love your attitude Matt. You don't care about what other people say or think. Just go your own way. And nice to hear that your mental state has improved massively!
I've been watching since late 2015 or so, the growth is amazing. Keep it going!
Thanks man!
Bro, I tuned out of car world for 7 years after my son was born. Been focused on motorcycles, owned 9 of them, but now coming back into it (thinking about buying a GT4 ). I haven’t watched your videos for the same 7 years (You were messing with 991 GT3 and F80 M3 at that time with FA career) and now watching this one from 3 years ago. Holy crap you’ve grown! Definitely will be watching more of your stuff. Hat off to you man.
Thanks man!
These are terrific videos! I have been watching them for most of the day. You are blessed with good health,a terrific family, wealth, cool cars!
Love watching wash and talks!!!
I love it when people address dealer markup! At least some people have the courage to.
I love that car! Swear I’m going to own one someday
Dude I love your videos, damn all the haters, I appreciate the videos you put out. Like you said you’re living the dream. Keeping doing your passion.
What a beautiful car and continue enjoying it Mat.
I love washing my car as i find it relaxing and therapeutic.
I enjoy the wash and talks!
These videos are simply perfect before bed👌🏻💆🏻♂️
There’s something oddly satisfying about pressure washing a highly hydrophobic car.
Very excited to see what 2020 will bring to Obsessed garage. .2 RS looks amazing!
From the trailer park bro lol. That was great
I’m loving the new 911 body style . We just got 3 2020s and I’m ready for the electric ⚡️Porsche Taycan. I’m ready for us to get one here in Porsche of Destin !!
Goebel’s Mobile Detailing you’re from Destin!? Me too!
Yep , I’m a Detailer !!
Dude this is like therapy. I often don't have the time to wash and love on my toys so these videos does it for me...gt3 next!👊🏽
Gosh Dang that car is the most incredibly intimidating car I have seen. Awesome car.
Man, when you closed the engine cover, that thunk sound was so satisfying I had to rewind it twice.
Man these are my favorite videos. Love what you are doing.
Instead of using that blue squirt bottle, you should switch to using a battery powered or pressurized garden sprayer sprayer. They are battery powered, hold a lot or little amount of solution, have a shoulder strap and handle and comes with a great sprayer nozzle and hose. I got mine at Home Depot and it's not expensive. Work smarter not harder!
Have u thought about using one of those rollers they use on wet tennis courts to move the water away once you’re done washing in the bay? Just a thought
Car looks & sounds great Matt. Congrats again on the purchase!
I would love an OG spec detailing chair
Still waiting on either a GT4 or GT3 allocation at MSRP is a dream for mere mortals like me.
hope you get the milwaukee deal! you have some future sales if you can!
Wash and talk are so NICE, OG its for everybody, Rich or poor. pros or amateurs, and its super-interesting to follow the evolving of Matts business. I have to wash my 997 S outside, dont have a wash bay, just a little booth with a tiny air-compressor and a good quality pressure washer (AVA) and all the most important Products, Soap, buckets, and wash Equipment, i use Gold nugget Wash pad (Just love them) wheel wollies and some brushes of different range, i only use Kwazar bottles and some garden sprayers for time saving when using degreasers. I stick to the Koch chemie products line, gyeon wetcoat from time to time.... i dont do correction or coatings….for that i have used a local detailer…..i am not allowed to use a leaf blower…. so i use good quality drying towels and compressed air...… anyway i have used many many of Matts advice for care care and i am happy with that
Matt are you getting the Corvette Dad bad back 🤣😂
Love the wash and talk
Only mentioned the corvette one time! See what .2 GT3 RS washing therapy can do for you!
“I might hate you for being a tool, hehe” - love this channel and these videos, thank you for making them
It’s more like “cordless” not wireless 😁😁😁
Awesome, my fav series man, love the wash and chat. Are you close on getting the AR630TSS in stock at OGHQ Matt?, also, you should do or get a creeper on the store, I'll buy it from you for sure, I'm looking to get one, I'm at that point too man, my back kills me. Great stuff man.
Incredibly beautiful car but the lime green vs yellow calipers would take me a while to accept
Will you be chasing OG spec cross fit / gym equipment? I think that would be a cool series. Building out the new gym etc.
I probably will in the future when the gym gets established, I get in shape, and we have a proper facility.
Holy crap, you don't think small! You should have call this video Matt's Home Therapy.
Nice car congrats, for some reason Porsche decided to make the 4.0 liter in 991.2 the way it should’ve been from the beginning. The aero bits and more downforce etc. who cares the heart ❤️ and soul of that car is the engine
(Raising hands on liking stickers..) For the record Matt not only does the front and rear badge account for 5hp each, the PORSCHE on the wing is worth 50. Btw, cages are exterior color MATT! Just joking, we know you love “naked” cars. Enjoy! 👍🏾
Those lizard green striped wheels have to go Matt.
I think once your Garage Giveaway is finished, it will go viral and HGTV will be knocking on your door to develop it into a "Garage Fixer-upper" series, if not make an appearance on Fixer Upper or Property Brothers. Every guy will watch that show! HGTV could use more content that appeals to men. Also, I feel that they are a better match for you than MotorTrend TV, which is too contrived, and appeals more to the... how can I put this... deplorable Wal-mart shopper (LOL, full disclosure, I'm one of those!). It'd be nice to find such content on TV on a channel other than MotorTrend TV. HGTV and Motortrend are probably the 2 channels that I watch the most, but lately have been watching more UA-cam content than both of those combined, much thanks to OG!
One could dream man!
When you were cleaning your wheels, what was that “glove like” wash mitt you used? That looks like something that would really help me thoroughly clean my wheels better.
Tundra Whisperer He sells them on obsessedgarage.com I’ve never seen them anywhere else. They work great.
Eric Miller thank you very much, I’ll check them out!
They are awesome. Lambs wool finger mitt.
You're an absolute mad lad
Try the chairs from Powerbuilt!
My wife call me a MASTER.... in cleaning home and do the food :)....... I love your talk :) greetings from Sweden
A bad back ad in a bad back episode, are you getting commission?😂
I love the self proclaimed "masters" ! I'm a self proclaimed OCD jerk.
I get allot out of washing my cars ... even if it's my winter car (I live in N.E Ohio) and especially the interior. Can't stand a dirty interior.
deep junk garage im a master bater, well was when younger. Just dont have time for fishing anymore 🤣
Hey matt, as a hex member I truly enjoy all the content you are putting out.
My car was coated with Crystal Serum Ultra and exo about 8 months ago and have stricly followed your wash process and drying process with beadmaker since then. Ive junped around different soaps during my own testing and landed on perl from P&S because of the price per gallon and how often I was my car. (Once a week). Ive tried gyeon and gtechnic soaps which always left something behind.
I have used cosmic spritz from Polish Angel as a drying agent a few times but feel its still in the paint..Is their a way to fully remove this on a coated car and basically get back to the starting point. I want to basically decon a coated car and remove all products stacked above the coating. My car has become noticeably sticky in which dust sticks much easier and I feel its because i have alot of stuff on the paint. Ultra topped with exo plus whatever was left behind using gyeon/gtechnic soaps followed by beadmaker religiously each week followed by cosmic spritz once a month. I want to remove the toppers and get back to the basics of using only beadmaker moving forward
Would you use your decon soap to decon a CS ultra coated car which is strong enough to remove old sealants and so forth.Ive used about 3 gallons of beadmaker since February and love using your entire karcher setup until I step up to a kranzle from you this coming February.
Decon soap will likely put a dent in the Cosmic Spritz. I may not remove all of it. I would then wipe it down with Eraser afterward. I really disliked the Polish Angel stuff as a drying aid. I found it hard to work with and smeary.
Its been punted to the trash...Over half the bottle of polish angel punted at 130 bucks..It just leaves a smeary finish no matter how many beadmaker orange ftw towels I use.
After decon soap would you suggest repeating the process a few times to better tackle the cosmic spritz before using eraser. Thanks for the advice. Would you suggest any iron removal products after using decon soap. I live in SoCal Los Angeles and part of the reason I am washing once a week is due to the car collecting so much dust and grime just from sitting out in the sun or being driven about 200 miles a week. I think the car would benefit from a good decon to help the coating out
Hi - is that wax you are using to dry the car? Thanks!
Since we're just talkin'...man, I nearly convinced myself to trade my '13 E92 M3 in on a new Supra. I started comparing the two cars and although I am getting "the itch", I sort of feel like the Supra is closer to a "335i level" car. I think I'd miss ALL the M3 has to offer. Darn.
Don't do it..
I owned an e92 M3 manual before switching to my M4 i still own. I wouldn't call it a mistake, even though my m4 is much faster and newer, it's lacking all sorts of emotions while driving and the sound is meh..
I'll never ever buy a car newer than 2015 again, especially not since the OPF are standard on newer models.
Thinking about going for a 2010 c6 Z06...
Need more Rinse and rants plz thank you 😊
so this my be a little long sorry soo I'm in high school I detail cars for cheaper than professionals and I have friends with money. So I was in class a few days ago and a teacher made me mad so now a group of me and my friends are designing a race car. I know it sounds dumb but hay who knows what will happen in the future, now I am pretty fortunate to have a friends family that does custom paint jobs so long story short I convinced them to let me put an OG sticker on it once it's done, if that's ok with you
Hi Matt - What is the best way to remove the Bead Maker from door jams prior to applying a coating such as gtechniq? Not an issue on the exterior panels as they will get hit by the normal decon process prior to coating. I have a vehicle that I will maintain with Bead Maker through the winter and plan on bringing it up to full OG spec in the Spring 😉
I polish them after normal Decon process.
What kind of wheel cleaner would you use for these particular types of wheels, I see that it has some kind of matt finish coating. Is there a wheel cleaner that is safe to use on those?
Any cleaner is fine.
they got a sale of one of those chairs from me because of you.
my car has ppf xpel ultimate plus but without a coating... what is better to put on my car after wash for protection? p&s beadmaker, meguiars hybrid ceramic wax, carpro reload
or something else?
I would coat it and use Bead Maker.
Matt- I coated my new car with your process. Then washed it few wks later and used Bead Maker as you do. Pretty sure I used it wrong. All of my piano black trim is hazy and the car has wipe marks all over it. And the glass is hazy as well. Applied in my garage. Thoughts? Help?
You can't just wipe, you have to finish the process. Meaning, spray it on, and ensure all excess is removed with a secondary drier towel after initial application.
Obsessed Garage yes I had two towels just like I see you do. Lol maybe I am just afraid to wipe the paint hard enough. Does it matter how wet the car is? It was pretty dry already.
Do you carry that wash stool that you sit to wash your wheels
I don't believe he does. Griot's wouldn't source to OG, so I don't believe he has them on the store.
They aren’t Groits specific, it’s a pretty generic stool that can be had for less money. Auto Geek is one place.
What about Master Splinter...Take that Guy
i know you are and have done carbon fiber upgrades on the Corvette and other cars past and present, are you going to do the carbon fiber engine/trunk cover and side air ducts for this car?
I doubt I will. It so much darn money on this car and so cheap on the Z06.
@@ObsessedGarage yeah i never understood the price hike
I've always wondered Matt, why is it that you personalise your cars in respect to visual parts but when it comes to the Porsche's you very rarely change the exterior look in terms of carbon body parts ect? There must be an immense amount of parts available for them. This is not a criticism, I just thought I'd ask :)
There isn't much needed on the GT3 to make it look better. Plus those part are crazy costly for not a lot of payoff. I may do a few on this car.
Obsessed Garage I understand, although it should look awesome with a new set of wheels on! Thanks for replying 😊
I’ve been in search for the perfect spray bottle, preferably one that doesn’t leak over when you shake up the product or after your done spraying product. Just used the chemical guys and the McKee’s generic chemical bottles and they are both garbage! Do you have a source for a good professional grade dilution spray bottles? Thx
Not yet. I’m working on it.
GT3 Cool
“Master detailer” = detailing craigslist ad, mobile detailer comes to you in his utility van, makes $30k/yr.
Maybe test Halo on the RS?
That's the plan.
i got my shirts today!!!!!
does the wing really help if you're just tearing around country roads?
Unless you're doing serious speeds and tight turns then probably no.
Yes, it looks cool. Helps me and I do not own it. Reason Matt purchased a new car. Larger wing!
Steve Bryan tearing yes. Gotta be pushing it though. Aerodynamics is an amazing subject. One that can make you feel incredibly inferior as far as intelligence is concerned. If I want to feel like an idiot, I start reading about aerodynamics lol. Watched a really cool video where they addressed your question. They brought up people reviewing cars where they complimented the “aero” of the cars they were driving. They gave several statistics that were really cool about exactly how hard a vehicle has to be driven to actually yield results of the aero engineered into the car. They said most amateurs rely almost solely on mechanical grip.
Is Bead Maker your only go to drying agent? Does it live up to its hype? What towels do you use for drying with Bead Maker? Thx Matt!
Tundra Whisperer yes and its the Rag company’s FTW towel in orange. Sold on his site.
Jeeper1378 thank you for that info. The rag company, in their description, is calling this a glass towel, but looks like a Matt is using it for an “everything” towel. I seems to swear by this towel, I’ll just have yo puck done up and also see for myself. Have you used them? Thx again!
That towel is awesome! Forget the glass. I use it on the paint.
I still prefer "Rinse and Rant".
Those black door handles are no bueno. Why would someone or some dealer spec that?
They look better with the decals on the side.
Green roll cage?
Satin Black is what I got.
Are you using the bead maker straight up, no dilution? Thx
Straight up.
MikeEM1 okay, and I see he also opens his doors and is wiping the inside door panels and interior glass with it too. Is there ever time you should dilute Bead Maker? Thx again.
Tundra Whisperer 100% all the time. That’s how I’ve been using it the past
6-8 months and it’s perfect.
JR007 any smell to it? If I use it to wipe down the interior is my concern.
@@tundrawhisperer4821 Just a slight smell. I wouldn't use it for interior plastics, trim. Just use ONR and dilute or something similar it and you'll be perfect. Personally for interior I use 303 products. A bottle will last you for years and they're amazing.
If you have to tell people how good you are, you probably not that good. I'm still available to ride shotgun in the mountains:)
What did you do to injure your back?
I just tweaked it moving a bunch of mats building the gym.
@@ObsessedGarage damn dude. Thats rough. Do you do conventional deadlift ? Probably the most critical exercise to do in the gym to benefit your everyday life.
I wish you a speedy recovery. 👊
Man that car looks evil.
