This has been the most creative work I’ve seen so far. Congratulations awesome job! 👏🏻 I’m looking to recreate something like this for a desk. Did you get all the products at one place?
Thank you for the kind words. I got most everything from StonecoatCountertops.com. I got the spray paint at home depot.
DOPE👍🏽👍🏽😍
Thank you
way cool.
Thank You!
Thank you for this amazing video. I hv a old glass dinner table that I will absolutely try on. Would it work without a heat gun / torch?
You need a heat gun or a torch to remove any air bubbles from the epoxy. Good luck on finishing your table. I'm sure it will turn out great.
Thanks Warren 🌸
Hi Warren, love the effects you created on this table. I'd really like to know whether the table has been outside since you created it. If so, did the resin yellow at all? Did the colours fade?
I have not seen this particular table since it went to my brothers house. The ones I have do fade in the sun. The red especially. The blue not so bad. The one I have on my front deck gets little sun and looks great still.
Pretty cool Warren! No bonding issues without doing a mechanical bond like sanding?
None have failed indoor. Only when left outside year round here in PA winter did they delaminate.
Thanks for watching.
What is the torch used for
this is gorgeous, i wish u included the products.
Thank You, The products are listed in the description.
what was the first coat for? do i have to do that? i’m looking to do something like this to the bottom of my glass dining table using only 4 colors, but im a bit worried i’ll mess up. My dining table is a little scratch up and would love to give it a new look. It measures 35.5 x 61 . Any advice?
@@thetruthonly6201 That first coat of clear was just to make sure I got some epoxy on the whole piece and it makes the rest of the epoxy flow better. You do not have to do that, as long as you make sure you get good coverage from the rest of the epoxy. If you mess up, you can always just go right over it again after it dries.
I was wondering if this works on glass....this is awesome. How long will this last once it's sealed with resin ?
If you leave it outside in the sun it will fade. If you leave it outside in the winter here in PA, it will delaminate and be ruined. If you bring it in for the cold months it is fine. The ones that have been stored indoors all year, look as new as the day I poured them after 2 years.
@@warrentobelmann8502 Thank you for that, I live in Florida so most days outdoors are short lived due to the intensity of the humidity. 😁 But the table I want to do like yours is my glass kitchen table.
I have been using resin on sheets of glass also. small ones like old door or small old window pane glass and I'm using powdered eyeshadows for coloring it works great! still transparent effects like stained glass :)
What did you do to prepare the glass for the resin? Sand? Apply a primer? Please.
I just lightly sanded with 220 sandpaper and wiped it with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
Since this is an outdoor piece will it yellow at all?
It will fade and get hazy from the sun. It will last for 1 summer in the sun, but by the winter it looks bad. I plan to redo a couple tables I have so I can enjoy them again next year. I will also use a uv resistant top coat to see if it helps.
Is the pour done on top or underneath of the finished table?
Mine are on top, but if it looks good enough on the bottom, you can use that side if you want.
What is purpose of using torch on the paint?
The torch warms up the epoxy, which makes it flow better and releases the trapped air bubbles.
How much resin did you use?
I used around 27 ounces (3 oz. per square foot) of resin for the color coat, and 27 ounces for the clear coat.
How do you prepare the glass
I clean it with any household cleaner and water, Then wipe it down with acetone or Isopropyl alcohol.
@@warrentobelmann8502 this answers my question earlier, looks like it should last a bit, that's good enough for me. I found a video way back that tests different epoxies for yellowing. Art resin is suppose to be the number 1 or 2 for non yellowing. Stonecoat was not even on that list and I know there's does yellow a bit, but we all love the guys at stonecoat!
Did you add hardener into the first clean coat ? And again do we suppose add hardener into every different color we apply? What is thr ratio ? Thank you for your answer ..
I mixed all the epoxy in 1 cup at a 1 to 1 ratio resin/hardener, and then poured that into the individual cups before adding the colors to each separate cup.
JUST POURING MULTI-COLOUR RESIN SHOULD WE CALLED THIS IS ART
Someone taped a banana to a wall and it was called art.
Meh
Meh Hah :)
Beautiful
Thank you
