Josh and Rachael called SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas one of the top 5 steakhouses in Las Vegas in the past, we try it again to see if we still think it holds up, and show the price change that has gone up quite a bit for the same steak
Prime aged steaks and a curated selection of certified Japanese and domestic Wagyu are the stars at the Forbes Travel Guide Four Star award winning SW Steakhouse. Think A5 Japanese Wagyu, dry-aged tomahawk chops and a chile-rubbed double rib eye, featured on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.” Main courses like pan-roasted sea scallops with English pea risotto and black truffle sauce are crowd favorites, as is the prime view of the nightly shows on the Lake of Dreams
Befitting a world-class steakhouse, SW offers a curated selection of wet-aged prime steaks as well as a variety of cuts dry-aged in house. The first steakhouse in Las Vegas to feature certified Kobe beef from the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, SW features a full program of Japanese Wagyu steaks, each with a quality score of A5 and a marbling score between 8-10.

Well this was perfect timing, I have a reservation at SW Steakhouse next week. It’s my first time and I’m so excited to go there.
The soufflé is definitely worth saving room for! Gotta be one of the best desserts in Vegas! Have a great trip Rach!

I'm from for north jersey/nyc area where steakhouses are big here not to mention some great steakhouses in atlantic city as well so to go to vegas for a steakhouse to get the same service as one will receive here, i was thinking of maybe trying something new but SW is top top ....amazing cuts with show simply cant be beat i went last year with wife and will be returning this april to loved and thank you for review!

So what is Vegas's best top 5 Steakhouses? I love watching your guys videos and I plan to start taking my wife out to some of these restaurants you guys review. Thank you for all the hard work and down to earth opinions on the food.
For us we go with Food, Ambience, Service and Overall Experience
In no particular order: Bazaar Meat, SW, Golden Steer, Prime at Bellagio
The final spot is currently a toss up for us with lots of good options fighting to get in:
- Bavettes at Park MGM
- Toca Madera at Crystals
- Don’s Prime at Fountainebleau
- Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa
And lots we would like to return to again to decide if they should be in the running but our top 4 is pretty set.
Las Vegas is overloaded with amazing Steak options right now, unfortunately the prices keep rising

Have not tried SW yet but looks like we have to put it on our list of must tries. There are so many really good steakhouses in Vegas that It is all a matter of your personal preferences. Thanks for the video.

Happy Birthday Rachel! **Wow, that SW Steak looks incredible!** A New York strip is my go-to steak, and that potato-bacon pave with its creamy sauce looks divine. Reminds me of a classic hollandaise-inspired sauce, perhaps an aioli? It's the perfect pairing for a juicy steak. The soufflé reminds me of the one we had at Eiffel Tower , Paris, Las Vegas , simply yummy 😋 Thanks for sharing, Josh and Rachel!

Great video, guys! We really appreciate the insight as Paul and I were looking at SW Steakhouse recently as an option. Probably gonna save it until we actually stay at the Wynn, but it definitely looks like an experience to be had (especially if you can score a seat on the patio)

In all honesty $400 + tip really isn't that bad. My daughter and I went to Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse here in Columbus Ohio and threw caution to the wind and ordered whatever we wanted regardless of price. Our totally amazing meal that included drinks seafood tower sushi and steak with tip was $700.00. Not something I could afford to do very often but it was an epic meal. Great video.

I Love SW not just bc food was Amazing but my previous big Vegas Steakhouse disappointed me with the service, but SW staff was friendly, gave great recommendations and just made time for small talk even though it was packed that night which was appreciated since it was a solo trip. I like to try a different steakhouse every time I'm in Vegas but SW will be the first i return to.

Greetings! I love SW . I’ve been lucky ..both times I’ve been able to get a table outside by the railing . It’s a beautiful venue . I was a big fan of Lakeside as well so looking forward to the new restaurant going in its place . And happy 29th birthday Rachael 😎😎😎

The Patio definitely adds to the experience, but for me there’s nothing like dining at the Wynn / Encore . With all the Steakhouse options in Vegas i know it’s hard to pick one . For me it’s easy because I am a big Wynn / Encore fan . The steaks are always cooked right and the meat is always the best . Glad to see you went back #wulffdendad

What type of food do you like and what’s your budget?
Not picky at all. And budget is no issue. We live in Alaska. Pretty expensive up here. Almost in line with Vegas prices. Lol

How hard is it to get a reservation? Every time I go on their site to lock in a reservation, it says unavailable...
Depends on the day of the week. We booked Monday night for Tuesday for this meal. I would book at least a month out for weekends or as soon as they open

I’ve eaten a lot of amazing steaks in Vegas and other cities. But that 32oz tomahawk ribeye at Bazaar Meat By José Andrés is the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life!

I lived in Vegas back in the '90s and you know if you were just playing blackjack with green chips, $25 a hand. The pit boss would come over and write you a comp for two to their best restaurant. Just for betting $25 to $50 a hand. Now you're lucky to find a blackjack table with a $25 minimum.

The only problem with SW steakhouse is that the lake of dreams show is on so late! By the time I get seated in my patio table to the time of the show it’s been 2.5 hours. Disclaimer: I’ve only tried for a patio table at 5:30 because otherwise I’ve heard it’s a lost cause.
Yea you almost need to book after 7:30 if you want to take advantage of the show

Good catch. We enjoy the occasional NA beer when we are at home but generally don’t in our travels so something good to watch out for.

It looks amazing but even with our trip last month, I just can’t set foot in the Wynn as long as that scumbag has his name STILL on that hotel. He needs to go the way of the Mirage…but I digress! Also those price hikes in two years is insane!

Price point ($$$$$), food and service are all pretty similar in quality but SW has the opportunity for outside seating on the lake with the show so we prefer SW but both can be great meals, but bring your credit card

I personally hate these titles “worth the cost” “should you go” etc what makes you the arbiter of what’s good or bad. Your taste isn’t everyone’s. What’s good to some isn’t to others. What’s expensive to some isn’t to others. Just state your experience.

Good video, but your video transitions with the "jiggling pictures" are very annoying and amateurish. Also, spend some money and get some better microphones. The crowd noise is too loud, distracting. It is "fighting" your narrations. You need to step up your audio quality.
