Most plastic surgeons on social media are extremely body positive, speak about unsafe procedures, and show clients who want to be shown. Hi, real physician here, this woman is a nurse practitioner, so someone who DID NOT go to medical school, do a surgical residency, or do anything that would qualify her to be called a surgeon, which is a physician. She is a nurse practitioner. So no formal training in plastic surgery or surgery of any kind. She likely took a weekend course on injections rather than 7 years of plastic surgery. Education matters, so please do not give her more credit than she deserves.
I'm visiting my family in Korea in a week, and stuff like this is a huge issue over there. From what my family has told me, natural Korean eyes are considered "traditional" now because they are so rare in a way. Most people get surgery right after highschool.

Y’all should definitely read the article about “Instagram face” from the New Yorker. It talks a lot about this new rise in plastic surgery making everyone have the same features and touches on how weird and kinda scary it is. But it also touches on the recent surgery trend of making someone look racially ambiguous and how it’s shifted from non mixed people wanting to look mixed or black to more south Asian looking which is really interesting to me. And also gross. Which I’d say started with the kardashians. Like I know Stan’s are gonna come for me but…look at Ariana. She has a freaking monolid now. She went from looking Latina or mixed to looking Asian. This isn’t an accident, it’s a real trend. Natalia is gorgeous because she has that strong jaw! And I don’t know this for sure but I’m betting she’s gotten shit for it her whole career.
I went to get 'preventative' botox because I have a hard time with the idea of aging. They started analysing my face and suggesting other things I should get done. Lip filler, cheek filler, chin fat dissolved, etc etc. Bro I just came in for you to help keep my face exactly as it is. Felt weird.
The key to preventing aging in skin is good skincare and lots of SPF if you go outside often! If you have the money, I suggest facials as opposed to Botox but truly a good skincare routine is all you need!!
It's sickening how they literally seem to get dollar signs coming out of their eyes and mouth when they see a client walk in. "Why aren't you insecure about this? You should be. You should pay us to fix this flaw you didn't even have."
hey kurt, i just wanted to let you know that you have definitely saved my life in one way or another, i genuinely love your videos and they bring me so much joy, keep up what your doing. because it definitely works.
seconding this! kurtis’ podcast has brought me back to reality/helped me feel grounded when I get stressed out about a lot of things. a couple years ago I went through a really hard time and these podcasts and videos were what helped me keep going ♥️
Was at the Tulsa show. I’ve been watching you for 6 years and you’ve changed my life. We drove 3 hours to see you. It was absolutely incredible. My dad and I were crying laughing at each one of your sets. We’re both huge fans of Bo Burnham and a couple of your bits strongly reminded us of him. You guys crushed it. Thank you, Kurtis.
Kurtis thank you for this vid. Years ago when I was like 21 I got a nose job because I had been made fun of since puberty, especially by family and friends. Anyway, it ended up looking horrible…I became even more self conscious and depressed to the point where it changed my personality. I became a pariah and lost my girlfriend of 7 years and nearly ended my own life. Anyway, just want to say I wish that the people I grew up with were as accepting/chill as you. And to anyone considering plastic surgery: legit consider therapy first, because you’re probably much better off than you think you are. And if you *still* want it…get a good surgeon and go in with realistic expectations. ✌🏼
I'm pretty sure that plastic surgeon or whatever on titkok was projecting her own insecurities onto Natalia. I looked at her profile and she said that she herself had gotten work done and it was basically all the same procedures she said she wanted to do on Natalia.
she basically just removed the more "mascuculine" fetures of natalia and its so freaky like bruh she is beautiful and has such specific features like that lady just crossing a line

it’s crazy how people on the internet feel so comfortable doing stuff like that, like it’s borderline creepy?? “like hey, i think you look different/unique so i’m gonna change you how i want!” like what????
i worked in aesthetics for multiple years and the fact that she started with “this is what i would do”… good aesthetic injectors help people address their specific insecurities to build confidence. you don’t sit down in the chair and let them customize you like a sim to “perfection” otherwise everyone would look the same. also! the after is completely unrealistic and misleading. changes that drastic would require multiple surgeries.
"if i was natalias injector, this is what i would do" first of all: you're not, second: you would do what she asks for,,,,, this tiktok lady is just mean
great episode as always,, can’t believe that some people genuinely believe it’s okay to say they would change someone’s looks if they could. truly subhuman.
That’s so fucked! For her to just change a strangers face without asking is gross. Also really could mess with people who have dysmorphia. Shitty at best but fucking traumatic to the actress and others!!
kurtis’ talk about how unique features should be celebrated instead of be seen as insecurities because they make you look different made me feel so much better about my nose which i’m very insecure about. thank you kurtis
Kurtis, as an Albertan, the dancing thing at the cowboy bar is very normal for more yee-haw places. I don't like country music and I still vaugely know how to do the Cadillac Ranch dance just from growing up here
as someone who was born female, i’ve always has a strong jaw and kinda square-ish masculine head. with that being said, i was always bullied for that when i was younger bc i “looked too much like a boy” (as an agender person now i don’t mind it :)) but when i was a little girl i hated that i couldn’t look like the white, feminine conventionally attractive, women in movies and tv shows i would watch. Seeing a beautiful and feminine women like Natalia being a main character in what is the biggest tv show this year makes little girl me SOOOOO HAPPY. I’m finally seeing another feminine person being loved and praised for their beauty while having a stronger jawline like me. I genuinely hope Natalia knows how beautiful and stunning she is because she’s helped me grow to love my strong features while still being comfortable in my femininity.
I read an interview with a cosmetic surgeon unrelated to that video, it was actually one of his points that you NEVER lead the potential patient when they come in, you let them tell you what they want to change. You can give opinions if they're unhappy with some part of the body or the face, but not unprompted. Imagine if you went in hoping to get a consultation on for example lifting your eyelids, and before you start, the doctor says 'so what shape are you thinking for the nose?' Imagine how that would wreck you and add a complex
11:52 fyi the reason everyone knows how to square dance is because they teach us how to do it in elementary and middle school as a part of PE - an Oklahoman :)
this is a very minor example, but i have maybe 5-10 eyebrow hairs in a little cluster slightly seperated from my left eyebrow at the end. i remember when this lady cutting my hair pointed it out and wanted to pluck it. i didnt really want her to but she persuaded me and i was actually really sad until it grew back cuz its a really unique part of me. and i really hate how a lot of people tell others to get rid of or hide those little things about themselves. im so happy its grown back and im never getting rid of it again.

I used to take $50 to $100 dollars and just sit there for hours and play with my (now ex) boyfriend. We used to spend at least $500 at the casino - but thanks to that machine we dropped it to $100 each weekend and it honestly saved me from financial ruin bc the casino and my ex-boyfriend was eating up all my money.

appreciate the bit about celebrating unique features that dont necessarily conform to societal beauty standards, that was comforting to hear for me bc my head/face shape is very different and one of my bigger insecurities
I'm only up to 15:35 but I love how she says 'treat' like it's a medical condition or a problem she's treating. There's nothing wrong with her face shape, it's not a problem to be 'treated', if she wants a different face shape (which I'm guessing she doesn't because she did not ask for this random person's opinion on her face) then that's fine but having a face that's shaped like that isn't a problem. This post was made by my-face-is-shaped-like-that-too-and-I-like-it gang
Him describing the country bar and the dancing is so funny to me. Cuz growing up in the south at most homecoming dances half the songs are line dances.
even if natalia dyer didn't see that... does she understand how many impressionable people did?! young girls with those exact same features... it's so careless to make a video like that.
21:58 i honestly really appreciate kurtis mentioning a gap tooth. I have a prominent gap between my front two teeth and recently I went to a new dentist who recommended I get Invisalign to “fix it”. He told me that there’s no medical reason, just cosmetic. And when I told him that I genuinely like the gap (it’s unique and is the same kind of gap as the American girl dolls I grew up with) he was so shocked. He acted like my gap tooth is super ugly and I would finally be pretty if it were fixed. It made me so uncomfortable and self conscious. So thank you to kurtis for validating my self love and contentment for my own smile.
once I went to have a procedure on my nose and the surgeon made me like my face even more, he said things like "I advise a subtle change because I think your face is proportionate and you are beautiful" and I was already wanting something subtle anyway I was happy in the end, but yeah usually those companys are fucked

Damn that sucks :( for what it's worth, you are really gorgeous and your skin is so pretty! It can be really tempting to compare yourself to other people and see what they have that you lack, but I hope that you can see your beauty and be comfortable in your own skin. I tend to compare myself to other people as well, but I always come back to the realisation that no one else has the exact same face as me, and that in itself makes me unique - knowing that NO one looks like me. @@tkdchic78 I agree. ANP’s are becoming more popular in the UK too, mostly to fill the gaps where we don’t have enough doctors.
@@tkdchic78 practitioners do a lot more schooling and training than RNs.. esp in the US that can be several years. No need to shit on them just because they do less schooling/work than MDs. Kinda childish
Kurtis leaning toward the camera/his body language makes the pod feel so much more like a conversation than it already does.
Also that’s literally not her job even if it was a client. A client would come in and say “hey I’m insecure about this and that, I want it to look like this” and then she would go “ok, here’s how I could do that” - imagine going in to get preventive Botox or something and they just go “oh your face is fucked, I’m gonna change the whole thing”
RIGHT like her job is not to do what SHE wants but what the client asks for
that aint even her job either 😂 she's a Nurse practitioner she's meant to treat, diagnose, counsel and educate patients, who have Minor Illnesses not reconstruct someone's face for funsies 😂😂
Shes really changing Natalia’s face as if anybody cared about her opinion 😭
Honestlyyyyy like imagine taking one of the most beautiful women in media and “fixing” her face to look like a stock image, and expecting people to agree with you
the fact that such a beautiful young woman can't even escape this insecure clout chasing maniac is troubling
Ikr like who would care
Hi, real physician here, this woman is a nurse practitioner, so someone who DID NOT go to medical school, do a surgical residency, or do anything that would qualify her to be called a surgeon, which is a physician. She is a nurse practitioner. So no formal training in plastic surgery or surgery of any kind. She likely took a weekend course on injections rather than 7 years of plastic surgery. Education matters, so please do not give her more credit than she deserves.
What's funny is the girl's old face looks a lot like Natalia Dyer, so she's literally just projecting her insecurities.
“If I was this client’s injector, here’s what I would do”
How about doing what they ask for, dude. Which in this case, was fucking nothing
I'm visiting my family in Korea in a week, and stuff like this is a huge issue over there. From what my family has told me, natural Korean eyes are considered "traditional" now because they are so rare in a way. Most people get surgery right after highschool.
I was born and raised in korea and this is sooo true. It's so weird to see young girls getting plastic surgeries while still in high school 🧐
@@yoncho9108 Exactly! It's really sad, and obviously people should be able to make their own decisions on what they want to do with their bodies, but its so clear that it's from all the cultural pressure.
I think Japan is like that too, it makes me so sad
She's not even a doctor. She's a nurse practitioner.
Wtf bro
it's always the nurse practitioners 🙄
That’s just embarrassing honestly 🙈
Lol. Not cut out for medical school was she?
You don't have to be a doctor to do injectables
This is why I left TikTok, people have the nerve to do vile and off-putting shit like this complete with cutesy sparkly editing
hey kurt, i just wanted to let you know that you have definitely saved my life in one way or another, i genuinely love your videos and they bring me so much joy, keep up what your doing. because it definitely works.
aw
seconding this! kurtis’ podcast has brought me back to reality/helped me feel grounded when I get stressed out about a lot of things. a couple years ago I went through a really hard time and these podcasts and videos were what helped me keep going ♥️
He did so good. I was dying when he mentioned Bo Burnham and everyone screamed and he was like "Okay calm down it's my show." 😂
It’s really dehumanizing the way these plastic surgeons talk about people, I know it’s their job but it’s also someone’s face they’re critiquing lol
This is a nurse, not a surgeon
I looked at her profile and she said that she herself had gotten work done and it was basically all the same procedures she said she wanted to do on Natalia.
there are two wolves inside kurtis, one is on stage doing a show and the other is recording a podcast
“I’m positive that this body needs to change” 😭
she basically just removed the more "mascuculine" fetures of natalia and its so freaky like bruh she is beautiful and has such specific features like that lady just crossing a line
22:05 I have a big gap between my teeth (and the rest of my teeth are kinda crooked) and when Kurtis said it was cool, I got really excited and felt so good about myself :)
same bro!
If I could change one thing about Kurtis, it would be absolutely nothing because he is the perfect man.
He’s not made of rags though, and can dance without a dolly holding him up, so there is a ways to go 😄
If I could change one thing about kurtis, I would make it so he lives next door to me
it’s crazy how people on the internet feel so comfortable doing stuff like that, like it’s borderline creepy?? “like hey, i think you look different/unique so i’m gonna change you how i want!” like what????
i worked in aesthetics for multiple years and the fact that she started with “this is what i would do”… good aesthetic injectors help people address their specific insecurities to build confidence. you don’t sit down in the chair and let them customize you like a sim to “perfection” otherwise everyone would look the same. also! the after is completely unrealistic and misleading. changes that drastic would require multiple surgeries.
"if i was natalias injector, this is what i would do"
first of all: you're not, second: you would do what she asks for,,,,,
this tiktok lady is just mean
I thought we got past this after everyone shamed Chadwick over his look, and then passed from cancer shortly after 😐
@@FeeFiFoFumBalthazar that he was getting too skinny and sickly looking, to my recollection. :/ really messed up.

Thanks for talking about this. On a side note. Miss Dyer is so low key and doesn’t bother anyone… I hate folks talking about her.
kurtis new cut is so good the mullet was literally made for him
great episode as always,, can’t believe that some people genuinely believe it’s okay to say they would change someone’s looks if they could. truly subhuman.
I’ve been binging so much VRG lately while grinding Pokémon this is a blessing
i can confirm ive seen this new kurtis and he was indeed on stage and thinking about the podcast but in the best way
i am absolutely about to spread the kurtis horse girl agenda on twitter
I fucking lost it when the article said that other TikTok puppets were speaking out
She literally wanted to give her an alien head👽
I love how every episode begins with you saying the wrong number of which episode it is, the consistency is great
Kurtis talking about how everything about people is perfect definitely helped heal my insurcuritys
I can't fathom the audacity it must take for someone to assume they have the right to "fix" someone's appearance.
That’s so fucked! For her to just change a strangers face without asking is gross. Also really could mess with people who have dysmorphia. Shitty at best but fucking traumatic to the actress and others!!
I know it's just how they talk but I hate her saying she likes "treating" masetors like they're acne. That's just part of her face! Her literal jaw!
the new face shape she photoshopped made her look like a guitar pick, literally nobody asked and natalia's beautiful just the way she is
Kurtis getting second in laser tag is the most Kurtis thing I have ever heard.
kurtis’ talk about how unique features should be celebrated instead of be seen as insecurities because they make you look different made me feel so much better about my nose which i’m very insecure about. thank you kurtis
Why tf do ppl even care about what ppl look like? Makes no sense dude she's actually beautiful everyone is even Kurtis
The fact that you said "even kurtis" 💀
@@ZinxTheSlayer he is 🥺💀
thank you for the upload kurt just in time for my daily cry
12:02 that’s so cute kurtis’s lock screen is him and jenna 😭
Kurtis, as an Albertan, the dancing thing at the cowboy bar is very normal for more yee-haw places. I don't like country music and I still vaugely know how to do the Cadillac Ranch dance just from growing up here
After kurtis’ experience at this western bar id love to see him at Calgary stampede where there’s A LOT of dope square dancing
as someone who was born female, i’ve always has a strong jaw and kinda square-ish masculine head. with that being said, i was always bullied for that when i was younger bc i “looked too much like a boy” (as an agender person now i don’t mind it :)) but when i was a little girl i hated that i couldn’t look like the white, feminine conventionally attractive, women in movies and tv shows i would watch.
"gun tag" is way more marketable than "war". You're a fucking genius
11:52 fyi the reason everyone knows how to square dance is because they teach us how to do it in elementary and middle school as a part of PE - an Oklahoman :)
same I literally just commented the same thing 😭
fellow Oklahoman. I still remember all the dances we did in elementary school 🙃
this is a very minor example, but i have maybe 5-10 eyebrow hairs in a little cluster slightly seperated from my left eyebrow at the end. i remember when this lady cutting my hair pointed it out and wanted to pluck it. i didnt really want her to but she persuaded me and i was actually really sad until it grew back cuz its a really unique part of me. and i really hate how a lot of people tell others to get rid of or hide those little things about themselves. im so happy its grown back and im never getting rid of it again.
I am addicted to watching all of ur videos, from ur kurtis Connor channel, to ur kurtis pogger channel, and now ur VRG podcast channel. Love being a part of this and of kurtistown
Love ya
i have a wider jaw like her and kurtis talking about the tooth gap and just looking different made me so happy and made me feel so much better about it 😭
That SpongeBob coin machine that Kurtis is talking about legit helped me with my gambling addiction a couple years back. The arcade near me has a wizard of Oz themed one.
KURT BOY I haven't had time to watch the whole video bc u just posted but you pop off. I agree with everything you said specifically the beginning, middle and end.
I wonder if someone has already made a video about the surgeon like “if I was HER surgeon, I would fix THIS and THIS and THIS-” and see how she likes it
kurtis not knowing what line dancing is might be the silliest thing i’ve seen all day
Omg the mullet just gets better as the weeks go by holy shit, congrats on the best mullet ever
mullet looking fucking dope dude !! thanks for the pod
whenever i’m on break at work your videos miraculously upload right on time. thank god for this podcast
I like Kurtis's look because it's very stylized. It's a whole aesthetic and fun.
Natalia’s natural jaw is literally so pretty, I hope she never sees this kind of bullship
appreciate the bit about celebrating unique features that dont necessarily conform to societal beauty standards, that was comforting to hear for me bc my head/face shape is very different and one of my bigger insecurities
kurtis thanks for putting in the time and effort to record podcasts while youre on tour, it makes my week!!
Square dancing was part of our PE curriculum when I was in elementary school in both Texas, and Wyoming
Kurtis basically just described the VR version of Barbie Horse Adventures. They should really bring that game back.
kurtis your hair looks so fire in this video omg
as someone from the south, square dancing was mandatory curriculum in gym class in elementary school so…
Kurt learning about dancing halls is my new fav thing to show my parents
once I went to have a procedure on my nose and the surgeon made me like my face even more, he said things like "I advise a subtle change because I think your face is proportionate and you are beautiful" and I was already wanting something subtle anyway I was happy in the end, but yeah usually those companys are fucked
I enjoy Kurtis's chill pose in this vid. One of those super relaxed youtubers/comedians. just makes it funnier.
i went to that main event for a school thing a few years ago it was epic im so glad yall had a good time😈
Hearing Kurtis talk about line dances in OK is hilarious. We just come out of the womb knowing the cotton eye joe
almost missed the train to kurtistown, glad i made it
i am 17 and i am getting my esthetician license and all we do is work with skin and i’ve never been in a worse environment for your mental health though i do love being able to help others with self confidence it’s to good to leave but also just not the environment i wish it was lmfao
I hope you can find some solace in that too :) this might be unrelated but you can also check out Aly's Art on UA-cam - her videos focus on making fashion/makeup work with your features and she helped me to accept myself and my flaws! Much love
Hi!! I was interested in doing esthetician school but I definitely don’t want to do something that will negatively impact my mental health. Could you please elaborate on how it was a bad environment?

Why is this lady trying to "fix" one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen.
i follow doctor youn (a plastic surgeon) and he always refers to the people hes talking about as beautiful, before and after their procedure. He also always reiterates that ‘this patient looks amazing and they dont need (the surgery) but im so happy for them’ and i feel like thats how plastic surgeons should be, encouraging the patient they still look amazing but they’ll go through if the procedure only if the patient really wants it and its not dangerous.
