Some good help here but it is confusing as to what you can do and cant do. My suggestion is either at the start just show the exercises not to do without explanation, and afterwards show these with alternative exercises and or provide a list that just names the 3 exercises.

Hello there! The prone knees to elbows exercise blew my mind, thank you for that! I reached from shins to toes with no change in effort afterwards...what does this indicate usually? Weak psoas or groin muscles? What would you recommend to look into further to figure out what the cause of the hamstring tightness is? Thank you again for the great tips here
🙏 I think there is so many people are suffering with this problem,so many people giving suggestions and exercises to this problem but my suggestion is only don't do front bending exercises. walking, jogging, some streching exercises is enough but we should do every day with out neglect. for curing may takes months are years depends upon the patient health, and also for this problem there is so many reasons hereditary, medication, rest less works, work only by sitting, food deficiancy like so many reasons so we learn to live with this problem just like carona

As a former dancer with hyperextension I find touching toes, holding ankles bending forward or sitting helps the new (2 months) pain in my hip. Not cured but releases something!
Russian twists are terrible for the lower spine regardless. I found for me low back stretches, stretching and strengthening hamstrings worked wonders. But the most beneficial thing was stretching and releasing the psoas and other hip flexors. Strengthening the entire core also helps a ton to relieve the stress on the lower back.
good video. solid information. i cant believe how many people give misinformation when it comes to sciatica. telling people to stretch or even worse roll with a tennis ball. which all makes it worse. - in piriformis syndrome (also called fake sciatica) the piriformis is tight because it is too weak. so if you have it you need to strenghten the gluetes (&upper hamstrings) and not to stretch them
The thing is it those things work for some people but many it doesnt and it makes them worse. Treatments are specific to the type of sciatica that you have. Yep Glute works and anti extension (isometric core) works well... but sometimes people need a way to cool the nerve down. We cover some of these in our videos and our webinar. bit.ly/3fasELH

Hi Guy, I was suggested to undergo ESWT = extracorporeal shock wave therapy by an overseas doctor. Was able to find the therapy locally and it worked. Fortunately here in my country Indonesia the cost is not as expensive. The therapy took about 15 minutes for each part and max 3 parts at one time visit. I was supposed to get 5-6 times on the L4&5 but after the 2nd time it worked well and the doctor combined with my left knee, other time the right parts depend on what issues came out. It is much much better now that I can walk normally after total 6 times visit. When covid started the therapy was on hold but seems that I don't really need anymore. Maybe my this could help, good luck.

Several years ago I had sciatica so bad in my right leg that I could only limp. I could not walk for long periods of time and I was restricted to only transportation in a car and not on a bus or anything else. I was going to the physical therapist place to do therapy to help loosen up the sciatica. They had me do what is called a half push-up. That is where you leave your legs flat and you only push up with your arms with your torso. That was so wrong and put me in so much pain that I was in tears. The goal is to push your sciatica pain back up into the back and not back down your leg into your foot. Yes, I left that place immediately and went to a better place. I can now walk normally and feel so much better. It only took four months of physical therapy at the new place to get me back to walking normally. It was a lot of work and well worth it. My sciatica is under control with the exercises they taught me. Just a warning to those of you suffering with sciatica.

Im glad you found some things that work for you. Yes the Russian Twists give a lot of people trouble!
good video. solid information. i cant believe how many people give misinformation when it comes to sciatica. telling people to stretch or even worse roll with a tennis ball. which all makes it worse. -
in piriformis syndrome (also called fake sciatica) the piriformis is tight because it is too weak.
so if you have it you need to strenghten the gluetes (&upper hamstrings) and not to stretch them
The thing is it those things work for some people but many it doesnt and it makes them worse.

Maybe my this could help, good luck.

good stuff. also, people who dont bend their knees doing deadlifts just haven't learned what life is about yet.
right
What the hell that alternate hamstring stetch on the floor. I was able to touch my toes with ease!
Why do you think that?
Yep exercises can work better than medication and surgery most of the time with sciatica. It takes knowing the right exercises and then doing them!

We don't know enough to say yes or no. For some people walking feels better but it makes other people worse. It comes down to having a detailed examination... we can do that for you if you want. We are in Costa Mesa. Message or call us www.p2sportscare.com/contact-form-youtube/ 714-502-4243
Correct
Yes
What happens if you start working out then it acts up so then you stop because it’s flared up then you go back after a couple of weeks to resting it amd it starts to act up again.. every time I start working out it starts to act up.. I can’t do any exercises so I really need to know what whole workout I can do to lose weight to heal it to where it doesn’t act up every time I start to workout.. that’s my dilemma..
