I just installed these and they really light up our back patio. Which before, was very dimly lit with the one light in the corner that is switch activated from the inside. I winded up using the corner light junction box to splice the wires together and now i can activate the string lights from the same switch. Which is very convenient.
lol I did the same thing. It works great. these lights light up my back yard so well that I can shoot videos in the early evening after the sun has gone down and it still looks like day time. thanks for the comment :)
Report from a year later: our lights are still working great after 2 years, although the squirrels have chewed off another socket. They are very well made to continue working when one has been removed! We leave the lights up year round.
Just installed the bulbs into these. My dimmer remote works but they don't turn off completely for some reason. Any ideas so i don't have to climb up each time? Much appreciated!
I have mine on a wifi outlet connected to my google account. So all i do is say "Hey Google turn off my Backyard Lights" (or turn on). it works great. i am sure it would also work with alexa if you like amazon better.
@MelandTim Apparently this is known as phantom current where it draws power 24/7. My electrician is going to install a resistor which should fix the issue. Your Google way sounds much nicer! Lol
I used them all summer and just took them down for the winter, we wont be putting them back up till april. $ !0.00 off I will have to watch for that. I want to put up a 2nd set next year
Looks like many Mexicans are interested in this string lights, I'm one haha... Thanks a lot for the video. A question, ¿They provide yellow light or white light? In your video everything looks very clear after turn on the lights. Thanks again.
@@tinly1 I ended up picking them up. Yes they're just plug and play they should light up right away. some bulbs are a little loose I need to really tighten them. Overall great purchase no complaints. Not sure if I should bring the bulbs in for the winter.
I used the screw hooks at first but I did change that to a 3 inch decking screw. My daughter hit the wire going across to the garage and it broke the eye on the light that was holding all the weight. So I moved mine so the lights now have a smaller span about 18 feetand I have had no problems. If you have a large span I would get a galvanized steel cable 1/16 inch thick. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment
I wish they were. They are very bright and light up my backyard almost to well :) But I am still glad we got them. I bought a set of Solar led string lights yesterday and I am going to hang them up and see which ones I like best.
Melanie Anne Okay thanks. I checked on the Feit site and I can’t see it there anywhere. If it came with extra bulbs you could just see if they will screw into a regular lamp/ light fixture in your home
Wondering why you would want to use cfl bulbs instead of the led these come with. The led use less power and don't get as hot so you save some money and the lighting is safer. Also, you wouldn't need extra bulbs, it comes with a box of bulbs.
@@MelandTim Can you share where you got it from? A link perhaps if it was online? I am having a difficult time finding this at home depot, lowes, and even amazon. Thanks!

We have a couple sets of these on our deck and love them. Just watch out, as a squirrel actually chewed a bulb clean off!
crazy! I will keep watch here. Thanks :)
The nice thing about these lights is that the bulbs are easily replaced. Not permanently installed.

I just bought ten boxes of these. Cant wait to hang them up
You will definitely light up the night! Send us a picture when you get them all up :)
Thank you buddy. It helped me
You're welcome!
Excellent video and thanks
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for watching
I bought a box at Costco of these lights. Can’t wait to put up these lights (sometime Costco has $10 off)

Yup right now $10 off at Costco just got 2

Hey bro the light bulbs LED is a plástic?
I'm from México
yes the bulb is plastic. thanks for watching
I love Mexico. I have been there many times. Twice to each coast and once to a small village Ajijic about 1 hour south of Guadalajara

@@MelandTim I am Mexican and did not know of its existence. There is so much to learn.
I have this exact set. Do you think these are ok to put up indoors? I thought they said indoor/outdoor, but the box says outdoor
I cant see why not, I think they would be really cool inside. Thanks for the comment :)
Thanks for the upload! are you in the Toronto area and was there a lot of stock? I plan on swinging by tomorrow evening
An hour to the west down the 401. There are lots at the store I shop at. they are great
It’s just simply plug in the power and the light bulbs should light up right? I did it but still doesn’t work and I tested that we have power too

Do the lights light up only in the night time.
Nvm answered my own question
they are bright. I like to use them the most at dusk. thanks for watching
Did you need to buy a guide wire or just the screw hooks?

They look great! Are they dimmable?

@@MelandTim you can buy a smart dimmer from amazon for $30
Just wondering if you can use regular size cfl bulbs in this ??
Sorry, I am not sure check with the feit website

I plugged mine in but doesn’t work. Does it only work when it’s dark?
Check that the bulbs are twisted in tight and they should work as soon as you plug them in. thanks for watching
Thanks. Will try it
Worked for me!
Only a few are working for me
@@krisramsey8558 try to twist them in as hard as you can.
What if the porch light is only 2 prong
I bought a light socket adapter that is 3 prongs
@@MelandTim Can you share where you got it from? A link perhaps if it was online? I am having a difficult time finding this at home depot, lowes, and even amazon. Thanks!
Wish mine worked just installed them maybe my power source
check the bulbs are screwed in tight. I had a coulpe that I need to tighten. Hope this helps
@@MelandTim i did notice bulbs where loose too but turns out i had to reset my outleft from garage power outlet.
Where do I get the battery?
These lights need to be plugged in to an outlet. Thanks for the comment :)
Is the power plug 3 prong or 2 prong?
sorry it took so long to get back to you I was camping! It is a 3 prong plug. Thanks for commenting
How do you turn them on
I used a plug base socket in a porch light and an outdoor extension cord to the lights
