This is my grandfather’s funeral song so this song means a lot to me and this is absolutely beautiful cover💖💖💖
This song means so much to me. My Grandad passed away from cancer last year and due to covid my family wasn't allowed to fly to England for the funeral. This was one of his favourite songs and was played as his casket was rolled out. Thank you for this dodie ❤

I went to see les mis with my mother before she passed. She had cancer and was not getting better. I will never forget how she burst into tears at this part of the song.

my mum can’t listen to this song because it makes her think of her dad. for some reason it makes it mean so much more to me. i listen to it with headphones in and now it’s sort of become mine and my mums song, though she doesn’t know this and has never listened to it with me. one of my favourites :)

I’m crying in my bed right now, it’s was so pure and beautiful 😭 it’s my favorite musical of all time and you made the most beautiful cover i’ve ever heard
i don't know how to explain it (and i'm well aware this video is well over a year old now) but to me this cover feels like taking in a breath of cold, bone-chilling, fresh air. it feels like my whole life wrapped into a song. i know the actual stage version of this song is a bit different, and i'm certain i'd interpret it much differently, but this specific version hits me in a very specific way. i can't really explain it. but the way it builds and builds feels like the cold inhale and then the song itself seems to exhale along with me. and the "and if i die, let me die." bit is the moment that takes over my entire body with chills and tears. thank you very much for this cover, dodie.
