Hoo boy. The scenery. The effects. The acting, especially Tommy's facial expressions and Wilburs SMIRK. I'm blown away by how much effort you two have put into this video, and how much it paid off - you did an amazing job and this is clearly a step up from Execution. I can safely assume that the Train scene was the highlight of the film, effects blending in well and the feels during the entire thing, also on the scene before when Ghostbur dies. Going through the five stages of greif over Ghostbur's death, again. Why must you hurt us this way? There's only pain on this server I can't- Tears and greif aside, this was a stunning performance. Backgrounds and lighting were lovely, fantastic acting, editing and effects were fluid, costumes were amazing, it's just, aw striking. Man well done everyone!
IT'S SO GOOD!!! The character designs, the 3D environments! The prison looked absolutely SICK, the ruins of L'Manburg made my heart hurt, Wilbur's limbo was picture perfect! And the acting?? So AMAZING!! Tommy was amazing, the TEARS when Ghostbur died?? And Wilbur and Ghostbur? JUST AMAZING! ALL OF THEM! Sam's actor was just amazing as well, their costume? AMAZING! Tommy and Sam's fight? Everything about this was just phenomenal! And I LOVED the way you portrayed the revival with Dream's hand and book sort of merging. Overall, one of the best things I've ever see come out of this fandom!

Woah this is so cool. I love the way the characters were done. Especially Sam and Dream, Dream's eye glowing really made him look as dangerous as he is on the SMP. And on top of that the camera angles and the acting- jeeeeezzz.... I hope all the DSMP members see this because it's amazing.

Yes thank you I wanted my heart to be absolutely destroyed today. This was MENTAL. The costume designs, the settings, the light, all the fun effects with invis and enchantments, freaking ghostbur being an adorable, the music and the sound design, the way the camera tilts up on Sam during the quiz, also camera work in general... AND OMG THE FREAKING BRIDGE AND THE GLOWING GREEN EYE and the freaking BOOK. This is absolutely brilliant 12/10 amazing job on this and all the hard work you put into this. Y'all are so talented!
i think im going to lose my mind /pos this has to be one of the coolest "fanart" things i've ever seen come from this community. i never would have thought that not only would somebody be able to make a 20 minute long short film based on the dsmp, but that it would be so well made too?? some of these shots look like they were taken straight from a high production movie so the fact that this was made by ONLY 2 PEOPLE???? just absolutely incredible job.
The moment with train, music and when Dream pulls out his hand towards Wilbur gives me chills! I love Sam's outfit! Everyone did very good at acting, I can't imagine how you did the background and light that fits with it, it's amazing! The effects are insane, you all are incredible!

I’ve been having a really hard time watching dream smp content since the news about Techno. Today I found this and your film ‘execution’ and they were both so epic it relit my spark and instantly brightened my mood and my day! I’m obsessed! It’s like after watching an episode of Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead and just instantly craving more the second the episode ends.i can’t wait for any more short films like this. I have my fingers crossed you guys do more epic moments from the smp.Tommy’s death and revival, Ranboos moments in his panic room, Techno’s escape from prison then breaking out Dream, Purpled’s ufo getting destroyed then him betraying Quackity - I didn’t think those moments could get more entertaining but what you guys are able to put together just blows it out of the water! I know this stuff must have taken you a lot of time and effort to put together but it totally paid off! Can’t wait for more!!! Great work!!!!

If it weren't 6 in the morning, I'd be screaming right now. I have no words to describe how SUPERB that was! Especially seeing how you're only two people and you had a time constraint (Wilbur's revival 1st year anniversary!). Amazing acting work once again. I love how nervous Ranboo looks at 0:40 after Tommy looks at him (note how Ranboo casts a shadow on the wall while Ghostbur doesn't). And Tommy was amazing to watch. I can imagine how difficult it must've been to portray all of the real TommyInnit's constant mannerisms and change of expression, but you matched it perfectly with his audio. Then of course, Ghostbur's acting is to die for (bad joke, sry) and Dream is sooooo wonderfully scary! The action scenes were perfect. 16:19 legit looks super painful. The storytelling was on notch; I think that even someone who has no knowledge of the original story would enjoy this. The visual effects were out of this world and an absolute joy to my video editor's eyes. The portal, the lava, the revival powers, the consistent lighting, everything. I enjoyed watching Tommy sift in and out of invisibility; it looked so...natural? But not translucent like Ghostbur; you'd made sure that there's a clear difference between the two. Music was perfect to set the tone; nothing distracting. And the audio effects! 4:08 really stood out to me in terms of audio effects. Sam's distant voice, a whiff of invisibility, Tommy's nervous fumbling and heartbeat - all music to my ears (ok, I didn't mean to make that sound creepy). And wow, even that plain wall to the right has perfect detail. And the BACKDROPS. You guys nailed Pandora's Vault as well as L'Manberg and all the little places in between. I love the attention to details with the buttons and machinery and the lava coming out of the pipes. You showed so many parts of the Prison and they're all spot on and believable. I also like how at 14:32 and onward, you can catch glimpses of the inside of Dream's cell. You dudes didn't skimp on a single thing. I really appreciate that you included a section with the train station, and that moment, everyone's holding their breath for the first view of Wilbur, who looks fantastic BTW. SPEAKING on costumes, in regards to Wilbur's design, who else noticed that the bloodstains on his sweater are red in limbo, and blue post-revival? The Axe of Peace IS the Axe of Peace, and you did a good job at making it look heavy. Ranboo looks much more deteriorated since we saw him last in the Execution film, with deeper tear scars. I could probably keep going (and probably would if I didn't have prior commitments). Thank you sooo much, Hero Destrin and Frostiar. I was in physical pain when Sam was holding Tommy back while he was just protesting and pleading to go over to Ghostbur. Wonderful work. Especially the invisibility effects, the little glimpses of Tommy you could see throughout the entire thing was a nice detail. Small but important. (Also the Sam costume looked legit, very guard-like) Keep up the good work :]

the ending was suprisingly nice. While we all know what is to come, Wilbur really did come back a changed man and it actually seems to have been an improvement. He was grateful for dream saving him, but understood that saving dream in return was not justifiable and so he didnt. He used to be chaotic, swinging between despair and a crazy drive to accomplish something, but not he is simply excited to live the best life he can. And the best part of it, is that he is one of the only two characters in the dream smp that lived, the other being technoblade who didnt die even once (because, obviously, technoblade never dies)
That was epic! I am ready to watch behind the scenes. You guys are so good actors. Also how did you only do it in two and a half months? Hope that you enjoyed doing this movie. I am sure that everybody is proud of you!

This is incredible! I felt like I was watching a movie in the theaters. Dream looks sick! I fell in love with his character design. The invisibility flickering in and out is amazing and the actor who plays Tommy did great. I actually felt sad for him. Amazing work. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Me and Frostiar will just drive around to all the five thrift stores in our city and go immediately to the belts sections to see if there's anything good. More often than not, we'll find something insanely cool that someone's donated to the store.
It's been quite a while since I've watched the original scenes, and I decided not to in preparation for watching this. I did cry when Ghostbur died as expected since I still knew what was going to happen, but man the added music and sounds created such tension and boosted the original tone of each moment. I love how you treated Tommy's invisibility. The axe being revealed when he clinks it against the surface or the slow blinking when the potion was wearing off were wonderful ways to show how invisibility works within Minecraft / in-universe. I did not expect to feel so intimidated by Dream's reveal but hoo boy I just gulped at 9:14 when the growl sounded. Cinematography around Sam was great too and definitely makes him an intimidating figure as well, but all of the shots were amazing and well-composed. The revival scene itself was amazing, with how Dream's arm electrofying with magic and then the reveal of the book. That was just soo cool! I love the addition of the train scene and the rendering of Pandora's Vault is wonderful. So for individual kudos, wonderful work Hero on putting everything together in such a cool way and amazing work Frostiar on the costumes of Dream and Awesamdude. Especially Awesamdude's, because that armor must have taken so long but looks very cool. Great job you two on what you've accomplished, and may the algorithm shine upon you!

I just finished it and OH.MY.GOD IM CRYING!! IM PHYSICALLY TEARING UP!!! It was so so so so so GOOD! NO more than good EPIC! The music, the editing, the camera movement and filming, the lighting, the animations, the ACTING!! MY GOD GUYS IF THIS ISNT PERFECTION I DONT KNOW WHAT IS. the animations for the lava, bridge and sunrise noticeably shocked me by how professional it looked, the movements were so smooth and detailed. The music choice was perfect, frostiar's acting for dream gave me chills and I got so emotional when tommy fell to his knees crying and trying to calm gostbur. I honestly don't know what else to say, I feel like I could go on and on about how incredible this is. And to think you only made it in a few MONTHS and it turned out this good!??!?!?! The scenery. The effects. The acting, especially Tommy's facial expressions and Wilburs SMIRK. I'm blown away by how much effort you two have put into this video, and how much it paid off - you did an amazing job and this is clearly a step up from Execution. I can safely assume that the Train scene was the highlight of the film, effects blending in well and the feels during the entire thing, also on the scene before when Ghostbur dies.
The content keeps getting better, and I do agree with fellow commenters in terms of the attention you two deserve! Let's do our best to push it further into the algorithm!

IT'S SO GOOD!!! The character designs, the 3D environments! The prison looked absolutely SICK, the ruins of L'Manburg made my heart hurt, Wilbur's limbo was picture perfect! And the acting?? So AMAZING!! Tommy was amazing, the TEARS when Ghostbur died?? And Wilbur and Ghostbur? JUST AMAZING! ALL OF THEM! Sam's actor was just amazing as well, their costume? AMAZING! Tommy and Sam's fight? Everything about this was just phenomenal! And I LOVED the way you portrayed the revival with Dream's hand and book sort of merging. Overall, one of the best things I've ever see come out of this fandom!

I got literal chills watching this! The characters, the cinematic designs, the little effects, EVERYTHING IS SO WELL DONE! I absolutely loved how it looked and felt when Dream revived Wilbur in the prison. I LOVE THIS!!!

The costume designs, the settings, the light, all the fun effects with invis and enchantments, freaking ghostbur being an adorable, the music and the sound design, the way the camera tilts up on Sam during the quiz, also camera work in general... AND OMG THE FREAKING BRIDGE AND THE GLOWING GREEN EYE and the freaking BOOK. This is absolutely brilliant 12/10 amazing job on this and all the hard work you put into this. Y'all are so talented!

i think im going to lose my mind /pos this has to be one of the coolest "fanart" things i've ever seen come from this community. i never would have thought that not only would somebody be able to make a 20 minute long short film based on the dsmp, but that it would be so well made too?? some of these shots look like they were taken straight from a high production movie so the fact that this was made by ONLY 2 PEOPLE???? just absolutely incredible job.
The moment with train, music and when Dream pulls out his hand towards Wilbur gives me chills! I love Sam's outfit! Everyone did very good at acting, I can't imagine how you did the background and light that fits with it, it's amazing! The effects are insane, you all are incredible!

I’ve been having a really hard time watching dream smp content since the news about Techno. Today I found this and your film ‘execution’ and they were both so epic it relit my spark and instantly brightened my mood and my day! I’m obsessed! It’s like after watching an episode of Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead and just instantly craving more the second the episode ends.i can’t wait for any more short films like this. I have my fingers crossed you guys do more epic moments from the smp.Tommy’s death and revival, Ranboos moments in his panic room, Techno’s escape from prison then breaking out Dream, Purpled’s ufo getting destroyed then him betraying Quackity - I didn’t think those moments could get more entertaining but what you guys are able to put together just blows it out of the water! I know this stuff must have taken you a lot of time and effort to put together but it totally paid off! Can’t wait for more!!! Great work!!!!

Tommy’s scream at 13:51…. Look, guys, I know this is a serious matter but I mean this laugh had me dying 😂
If it weren't 6 in the morning, I'd be screaming right now.
I have no words to describe how SUPERB that was! Especially seeing how you're only two people and you had a time constraint (Wilbur's revival 1st year anniversary!). Amazing acting work once again. I love how nervous Ranboo looks at 0:40 after Tommy looks at him (note how Ranboo casts a shadow on the wall while Ghostbur doesn't). And Tommy was amazing to watch. I can imagine how difficult it must've been to portray all of the real TommyInnit's constant mannerisms and change of expression, but you matched it perfectly with his audio. Then of course, Ghostbur's acting is to die for (bad joke, sry) and Dream is sooooo wonderfully scary! The action scenes were perfect. 16:19 legit looks super painful. The storytelling was on notch; I think that even someone who has no knowledge of the original story would enjoy this.
The visual effects were out of this world and an absolute joy to my video editor's eyes. The portal, the lava, the revival powers, the consistent lighting, everything. I enjoyed watching Tommy sift in and out of invisibility; it looked so...natural? But not translucent like Ghostbur; you'd made sure that there's a clear difference between the two. Music was perfect to set the tone; nothing distracting. And the audio effects! 4:08 really stood out to me in terms of audio effects. Sam's distant voice, a whiff of invisibility, Tommy's nervous fumbling and heartbeat - all music to my ears (ok, I didn't mean to make that sound creepy). And wow, even that plain wall to the right has perfect detail.
And the BACKDROPS. You guys nailed Pandora's Vault as well as L'Manberg and all the little places in between. I love the attention to details with the buttons and machinery and the lava coming out of the pipes. You showed so many parts of the Prison and they're all spot on and believable. I also like how at 14:32 and onward, you can catch glimpses of the inside of Dream's cell. You dudes didn't skimp on a single thing. I really appreciate that you included a section with the train station, and that moment, everyone's holding their breath for the first view of Wilbur, who looks fantastic BTW.
SPEAKING on costumes, in regards to Wilbur's design, who else noticed that the bloodstains on his sweater are red in limbo, and blue post-revival? The Axe of Peace IS the Axe of Peace, and you did a good job at making it look heavy. Ranboo looks much more deteriorated since we saw him last in the Execution film, with deeper tear scars.

13:50 was so cool dream having the power of the book and summoning it in his hand and evil laughter is amazing
the ending was suprisingly nice. While we all know what is to come, Wilbur really did come back a changed man and it actually seems to have been an improvement. He was grateful for dream saving him, but understood that saving dream in return was not justifiable and so he didnt. He used to be chaotic, swinging between despair and a crazy drive to accomplish something, but not he is simply excited to live the best life he can.
And the best part of it, is that he is one of the only two characters in the dream smp that lived, the other being technoblade who didnt die even once (because, obviously, technoblade never dies)

This is incredible! I felt like I was watching a movie in the theaters. Dream looks sick! I fell in love with his character design. The invisibility flickering in and out is amazing and the actor who plays Tommy did great. I actually felt sad for him. Amazing work. I'm looking forward to the next one.

OH MY GOSH THIS WAS NUTS! I cant even decide which was better, this one or the other short film. I do some acting myself so I can kid of appreciate the level of skill you guys have but you also need to get the timings right with the voices. Not to mention all of the work on the backgrounds, the props, the music, the costumes, everything.This is amazing! Great work guys!
This is so good and so many ways :0 the acting, the 3D modeling for the prison, the special affects for Ghostbur and the invisibility. Overall 10/10 :D

Thanks! And FRRR belts are the WAY when it comes to our cosplays. Me and Frostiar will just drive around to all the five thrift stores in our city and go immediately to the belts sections to see if there's anything good. More often than not, we'll find something insanely cool that someone's donated to the store.

That’s amazing, you did a really good job portraying the characters and what happened.
It's been quite a while since I've watched the original scenes, and I decided not to in preparation for watching this. I did cry when Ghostbur died as expected since I still knew what was going to happen, but man the added music and sounds created such tension and boosted the original tone of each moment. I love how you treated Tommy's invisibility. The axe being revealed when he clinks it against the surface or the slow blinking when the potion was wearing off were wonderful ways to show how invisibility works within Minecraft / in-universe. I did not expect to feel so intimidated by Dream's reveal but hoo boy I just gulped at 9:14 when the growl sounded. Cinematography around Sam was great too and definitely makes him an intimidating figure as well, but all of the shots were amazing and well-composed. The revival scene itself was amazing, with how Dream's arm electrofying with magic and then the reveal of the book. That was just soo cool! I love the addition of the train scene and the rendering of Pandora's Vault is wonderful.
So for individual kudos, wonderful work Hero on putting everything together in such a cool way and amazing work Frostiar on the costumes of Dream and Awesamdude. Especially Awesamdude's, because that armor must have taken so long but looks very cool. Great job you two on what you've accomplished, and may the algorithm shine upon you!

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I love how it's made, and I hate how underrated it is. The emotions, the costume design, makeup, people, props, the acting, where do I even begin with the editing? It's all in the editing to make this performance one step over to this amazing fiction, I wonder what would look like all improves for the better? Compared to the videos you guys have done, you certainly improved and I am so so proud for what you guys have accomplished, for coming this far, and I hope there's more videos like this in the future, since I'm hooked! I'm so hooked. I'm actually a recent fan of the DSMP and it's difficult to catch up, but watching videos like this, really helped me. You've done loads of help, for making me catching up, and keeping the fire alive for the DSMP community. Very good, so good, oh man..I'm so watching this later again.

I just finished it and OH.MY.GOD IM CRYING!! IM PHYSICALLY TEARING UP!!! It was so so so so so GOOD! NO more than good EPIC! The music, the editing, the camera movement and filming, the lighting, the animations, the ACTING!! MY GOD GUYS IF THIS ISNT PERFECTION I DONT KNOW WHAT IS. the animations for the lava, bridge and sunrise noticeably shocked me by how professional it looked, the movements were so smooth and detailed. The music choice was perfect, frostiar's acting for dream gave me chills and I got so emotional when tommy fell to his knees crying and trying to calm gostbur.
I honestly don't know what else to say, I feel like I could go on and on about how incredible this is. And to think you only made it in a few MONTHS and it turned out this good!??!?!?! Hats off to you guys i hope this blows up more people need to see your Talent. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I was sleeping for the premiere but by god this is good. You guys just keep getting better. The invis effect is amazing, the vault door is fantastic, the acting is wonderful. The prison is as terrifying as it deserves to be, and the visual effects are just. DAMN
