Tommy's discs symbolize his heart. And Wilbur letting him keep them is him understanding how much they mean and telling Tommy that he is allowed to be as emotional as he wants (because Tommy's always been someone driven by his emotions, willing to risk his heart for others). So that's actually huge, specially taking into account that Wil didn't know how to apologize. He isn't dismissing them as unimportant like others have and Tommy finally has them back, not to being taken away. Tommy looks down at the disks then back at Will, looking to see if it’s some kind of trick. He takes them and we cut to a close up of Will’s mouth as he says “You’re free.” Cut back to Tommy, his neck and arms with luminescent green strings that snap and crumple. Cut to a flower, a cornflower (because it makes blue dye which is Ghostbur’s blue) softly blowing in the wind, Wilbur’s feet in the shot as well as he says “You’re a good kid, Tommy…” we hold on that shot for a bit, Will’s feet eventually walking out of frame and all we’re left with is the flower. They aren’t given a full script just some of it so when dream showed up Tommy just had to be in character even though he had no clue that the disk would be burned before the stream started making the reaction feel as real as possible
I was NOT expecting this to happen whilst Watching the Stream. I mean, Wilbur LEGITIMATELY BEAT DREAM AT HIS OWN GAME!! Its like something in him snapped when he found out what Dream did to Tommy. This Stream was Absolute Insanity. I can even hear the Legitimate Fear in Dream's Voice as Wilbur was commanding him to complete the final demand. The only way Dream would believe him was if Tommy believed it. Smart move Wilbur. I’m calling it right now, this may setup a redemption arc for Wilbur when the time comes.
@@user-cx9un9fs7q if you listen closely, behind all that shock and surprise, Dream sounds terrified. I instantly caught it because of what Wilbur said. Because he knows what makes Dream tick from the inside out. More control. and Tommy being one of the few people who are scared of Dream, frightens him because he is loosing all that power. Wilbur gave Dream a taste of his own medicine when he forced Dream to burn the fake discs.
@@sky_walker_1235 I was stating he sounds more shocked and surprised then scared to me, I was a little vague with my words and that’s on my fault. So yes I also caught onto the fact he was scarred in this moment but I was simply meaning that he sounds more shocked and surprised then scared. I have very bad English and often over exaggerate things that shouldn’t be over exaggerated such as Dream having no fear in his voice.
I can say this now after this stream, I love cannon Wilbur. He’s had his ups and downs and even had his arguments with Tommy but the fact that he still won’t let anyone hurt tommy regardless, is just very wholesome. Not to mention he was willing to go back to limbo just for tommy, and he hated limbo SUCK IT GREEN BOYYYYYYYYY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I loved when Tommy and Wilbur were dancing, it really reminded me of old lore, like Tommy and Tubbo lore. When there was nothing more but Tommy, his best friend, and his older brother having fun. When there was no, pushing people off bridges, mind controlling omelets, revival. Just when there was some happy dudes having fun.
Same! I don’t search dsmp up anymore but if it comes up in my recommended or I get an ao3 email update I’ll click on it, but other than that I’ve mostly left the fandom (still think about it sometimes tho£
Yea I left it a while though when it was really popular and people were cosplaying so I left but the story was unfinished and after a couple months I wanted to know more so I’m back just for lore
This was just wow Wilbur did the one thing dream never thought about ever I'm shocked, impressed, and scared for a moment there but when Wilbur said "they were fake one's Tommy" I was completely speechless and glad dream has no more control over dream that dream doesn't even control anyone anymore wow
@@jeckjeck3119 maybe dream has something more up his sleeve that everyone doesn't think about not a revival book but dream secretly planning something bigger than lmanburg I'm thinking dream has a plan that would be way too big for everyone Idk what it is but he said that was his home meaning wait he wouldn't do what I'm thinking he would need enough gunpowder to destroy everything but not the prison I may be over thinking this but I think dream gonna destroy everyone homes and I mean everyone besides dream but like I said I may be over think bc if dream can't have control anyone what if he destroy everything but that's just a theory
Wilbur has balls. He would actually have killed himself if Dream didn't burn those discs. He beat the green demon at his own game, and managed to remove the threat of him in Tommy's case. Damn good writing
When Tommy said "this is like a beach party" it sounded like healing, and maybe a bit of forgiveness. Wilbur messed up, and he hurt Tommy, but he also indulged Tommy in his 'silly' little party, something Pogtopia-era Wilbur would not have done. And his actions healed one of Tommy's many wounds, a small wound that some would call inconsequential, but was no less important to Tommy. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but when Tommy did something childish in exile, wasn't one of Dreams lines "Wilbur would be disappointed." or "Wilbur would never have put up with this."? Cause if so, Wilbur just snipped that puppet-string without even realizing it.
THE ONLY PERSON HE STILL HAS LEFT IS RANBOO because ranboo is still scares of him and also the fact that he still needs to be revived he can still manipulate ranboo

Dude, Finally! It's been one and a half years since we've been missing the good Wilbur that he used to be. Let's be honest, we all thought there would be no more hope for Wilbur to be back to his normal self, we thought he's gonna be a bad guy forever.. but this stream finally prove that point wrong, Thank God.
I absolutely loved this lore but it is kinda sad that this is the end for tommy's and wilbur's lore however seeing that it had a good ending made me happy
Probably though. Wilbur and Tommy both stated that they're lore will son come to an end and that it will have a good ending. This is what makes me think that
@@shroomily possibly. It will be kinda weird if they just fully become irrelevant though. Tommy is basically the closest thing the SMP has to a main character.
I love how it started with a few friends starting a server then a child joins and then more people join, a small fight that could easily have been resolved starts and it turns into one of the biggest fandoms with amazing lore.
WIlbur is selfish, but not a narcissist. He cares for those around him even if not fully being able to show it and with his cunning and intellect, on par with that of Dream's own, he defeated him for Tommy, and, on a lesser note, for him. Tommy is childish, but not exactly stupid. Though hurt at first, he understood his older brother did a good thing to protect them, and he trusts him even more. Dream is a megalomaniac, and he'll give everything for the power he so desperately wants. Even if it's power over Tommy, for he believes he can find a way to control him again.
Holy shit.. most of that was VERY unexpected, yet SUPER SMART! I was unsure of where this was going, but kept some trust in wilbur as i watched it play out. When i saw the ender chest at the end, it clicked to me that the discs wilbur used were fakes. When he explained his plan, i was left speechless with how good the writing is
Dream 1: oh no, I cant believe he done that... (depression) Dream 2 : So.... He start his own game huh? (Proud) Dream 3 : Welp, if he won't play nice... Its only fair if I do the same (Angry) Dream 4 : Welp, already know it's fake, let's continue with a plan shall we?
12:40 Tommy: don't you ducking speak to me .. don't you come with me ... don't you speak to me any of you.. Dream: I guess.. (Is this a sign that c! Dream will meet c! Tommy again? Oh god ..)
I cant wait to see how the lore will go later on. I feel like Dream ddefinietly knows the discs are fake [His made fake discs before and he can tell real from fake easily] , and I feel like he realised that c!Wilbur told C!Tommy that the discs were real, I feel like he still got duped by Wilbur still was able to see through the main plan as a whole and has something cooking up for later on. And even if he has no clue then there still is the fact that the discs weren't the only thing giving him power over Tommy, he still can use Wilbur as leverage or for a favour. CC Dream and Wilbur said on their reddit about how one of the reasons Wilbur was revived was to torture Tommy. Wilbur claims this is important. Which is why I think it may come back into the story later, whether dream wants to torture wilbur to hurt tommy or if he gets wilbur to hurt tommy indirectly with some sort of deal or so. C!Dream though may think C!crimeboys had a falling out considering he sees C!Tommy have a break down and snap at c!Wilbur so he might not even bother trying to sepearte them (IF that even was apart of his plan) He may try to get the favour from C!Wilbur with the thought that C!Wilbur cut ties with C!Tommy and then be surprised that he still cares. I'm not sure but I'm excited for whats to come later on!
When Wilbut said fucking, out loud in front of my father, my father didn't do anything. I have been blessed by the gods that I didn't get my ass killed
im sooo confused, idk if this’ll be the end for tommy and/or wilburs lore. I’m not sure about wheter I trust Wilbur or not tbh- I just expected a bigger event for smth like this. it just seems so- argh idk
@@atiredweeb8551 i do know, and i hope he really got his happy ending. im just sad the smp might end bcs i rlly enjoy(ed) the lore streams and (lore) events
its not the end. Tommy confirmed today that theres more lore happening. It woudlnt make sense for it to be the end as well since the arc isn't wrapped up yet. - Dream would know the discs are fake, and he probably figured out that wilbur told tommy that they were real - Even if he didn't know, whos to say he wouldn't follow wilbur and tommy secretly to find out more - Dream has power over Tommy without the discs - Dream has been hinting at a bigger plan for a while now - Tommy wants his character to have a happy ending, the ending here is more like bittersweet considering that Dream is still around. - Dream has been recently trying to make more friends, an dif you notice a lot of characters have started sympathizing with him, it seems like its building up to - everyone thinks dream is a nice guy except for tommy, quackity and some others and something will happen with that probs
I'm a bit confused on why Dream cares in the first place that Wilbur dies. Dream initially revived Wilbur to fuck with Tommys head which worked for about a month but then Tommy and Wilbur became good friends again. Dream also revived Wilbur expecting him to be in his debt and that he would follow him which was also true for about a month until Wilbur stopped caring. Now Dream has found out that Wilbur and Tommy were working together to do something against him which means to him that his initial plans with Wilbur won't work anymore. Wilbur claims that he is Dreams "project" and that he's his "shining beacon" when all Dream did was revive him and no longer gave a shit about him. Dream had to choose either Wilburs life or the discs which is the most easy choice for him and for some reason he burnt the discs. Maybe I'm missing something here and this isn't even factoring in that Dream could just revive Wilbur after he died but this is such a weird stream in terms of story.
If Wilbur kills himself the message is broadcast across the server. Another anounxement to the world that Dream doesn't have the power he wants others to think he has. If he let Wilbur kill himself it would tell the whole server, even with the book, he is powerless and it would break what few strings he still has on others.
@@Blitzwaffen Are you talking about the literal death message in chat or that Tommy would spread the word on what happened? In the case of a literal death message, they've been confirmed to not be canon multiple times with an example being how people only knew about Tommys death when Sam told them rather then when they saw the death message. I still don't really think people would lose their fear of Dream if Tommy did tell everyone though. "Hey guys, Wilbur tried to get Dream to burn the discs and was threatening that he would kill himself if he didn't, Dream didn't comply and Wilbur died." That doesn't make Dream look less scary, sure he didn't physically kill Wilbur himself but he would be known as having caused Wilbur to die. Plus, if Dream wouldn't revive Wilbur then he would effectively have the discs since the real ones would forever be in Wilburs enderchest and both Tommy and Dream believe that the discs Wilbur gave are the real deal.
@@WhatIsMyLif3 Dream already found out that Wilbur would probably not be working for him whenever Dream saw Wilbur working with Tommy along with Wilbur making demands. Also if people could chose not to be revived then Tommy would be dead right now and Ghostbur would be alive still.
Sheer genius. I had to watch it again because I missed him turning the game off for a moment. His camera goes fullscreen and we think it's for dramatic effect and NO ONE in the comments was suspicious!
Ok ok so yeah I'm watching it loving it right? When the portal goes out and Tommy asks if wilbur has a flint and steel wilbur goes right into his inventory and hovers over one and says "no".... what's that about???
I don't think it would help them to get what they wanted from Dream. It would help them escape, sure, but then what was the point of calling Dream in the first place? I don't think it was a mistake, because otherwise he could have throw it away with other "usless" stuff before going in. So unless this was his plan B, and he didn't want to tell Tommy about it just yet.
я съел карандаш от волнения пока смотрел. Для меня эти 14 минут прошли как 30, это шикарно. Боже, как же я люблю взаимодействия Уилбура и Томми. Мне насрать на то, что это не канон, но для меня они братья
They're one of the first rare items he got on the SMP, and over the course of the story they've become symbols of freedom and strength to them, since he won them from Dream after he stole them (repeatedly)
At first it was because they were rare items that he found on the first days of the SMP, but now they mean so much to him because they symbolize freedom and strength to him, and he can't let Dream have them.
He told me that much and now he's dead Told me to kill my indulgences With a sharp blow to the temple Pick up the phone call and do everything he says I could take a plastic camera We could make such a pretty picture Oh, so happy, oh, oh, so happy I'm pretty cool once you get to know me I feel at some point I broke my mind I'm always searching, the silent type Why do you all make it look so easy? Nah because it took me a little too long to get through this video- I cried so many times, then I had to stop when they were all yelling because I can't deal with shit like that. ALSOOOO the fact that I relate to C! Tommy doesn't help ONE fucking bit at all. I'm just glad that they're free and everything-
So I'm just watching the video and I didn't see the stream, did Wilbur actually open the ender chest to store the discs in transit? Cause if not then he's done a double deception, he tricked Dream into destroying Tommy's discs, and he's tricked Tommy into thinking the counterfeits are the real disks.
Yes, he gave Tommy the real disks. You can tell if you watch the whole vod. When Tommy gave him his disks Wilbur put down an ender chest and turned off the screen for a bit to put them away.
@@КисаМяу-м5к But that's just it. If he's turned off the screen, we have no way to know which ones were real or fake. To my knowledge the real disks never had fact names or changes done to them. It almost feels like the moment is left to viewer assumption of the disks Tommy got back are real or fake.
@@Blitzwaffen But he left the game sounds on. If you listen carefully at that moment, you can hear how he opens the chest off screen. Why would he even make unnecessary movements when we know that Tommy himself didn't notice that and thought that they were real until the reveal? Why would he straight up promise Tommy that he will hide his disks in his enderchest in the first place? It literally makes no sense for him to do that. He clearly doesn't care about the disks. But he knows that Tommy does. And he cares about Tommy. Every action has to have its purpose. So what would he even gain from lying about it? Literally nothing.
@@КисаМяу-м5к people in chat spoil and and spy all the time. If he didn't use an ender chest people would be shouting that that he still has the disks. If they didn't hear a sound it's the same thing, if he left video people would be shouting about the duplicates and would track where the real ones were or not. The entire story is built because the audience is unreliable at keeping a secret, but at the same time the narrator himself is unreliable. Whatever Wilbur promises or how he acts to Tommy now, we have Tommy's account of how he was in limbo, along with his destructive spiral before his death. Nothing he's done screams trustworthy. Now, it's very clear he did something nice to help tommy. But being helpful do want mean he was being truthful about any of everything. A fact which is supported by him hiding the screen before accessing the end chest. Sure it makes the ruse even more exciting for the viewers, but taking away our knowledge of what is true or known, means we have to go by his words alone.
@@Blitzwaffen Again, every action character does has to have its purpose. What was the POINT of him faking it? He would not gain anything from it, and he knew that. Literally the ONLY time he did hid his screen was when he swapped disks, and it was intentional for the viewers experience with not knowing what was really going on until the end. And that's it. Also, some people in chat actually figured his plans out from the beginning based only on that. If you rewatch the vod and listen to what he says about his plan, you will see that he was being clear with his plans from the start. From the beginning, he told Tommy that he would put his disks in the enderchest as soon as he gets them, and he did just that. He promised Tommy that he would get his disks back right after they're done, and he did return them after. He promised that Dream won't grab a hold on them, and in the end he didn't even got the chance to hold them. If you actually watched his previous lore streams, you must know that currently he is trying to make things better (not always successfully, but he is still trying). He is trying to give people closure and fix his past mistakes. He hasn't really done questionable things since Ranboos death, which affected him greatly. And as much as some people liked to scream that he is "manipulating" in the chat, after he just answers a question with something that was already established before. I understand why some people still not willing to trust him. You said it yourself, no one is a reliable narrator. No one is truly a villain or a hero of the story. Everyone has a reason for what they're doing. So I don't see what would be the point in double swap if it directly contradicts his character at this moment. In the end all of that hiding was just for the viewer experience.
so... the Train Station is opened, come say hi

I didn’t hear fear in Dreams voice, I only heard surprise and shock for the most part.

Wilbur shows that on another level

I absolutely loved this lore but it is kinda sad that this is the end for tommy's and wilbur's lore however seeing that it had a good ending made me happy
Oh it's not the end trust me
The disks are still here. As long as they exist, qnd as long as Dream, Tommy, qnd Wilbur are alive, it's not the end.
Wilbur is an absolute genius, let’s just hope Dream never finds out that Tommy still has the disks, that would definitely not go well.

"I did this for you." Is such a raw line after it was all wrapped up.
I didn't watch the entire stream but this is a fan fave moment from Wilbur ngl
"You're a good kid, Tommy."
Maybe Wilbur dying means he doesn't work with dream or maybe a person can choose not to be revived. I guess that is weird.
"Hey guys, Wilbur tried to get Dream to burn the discs and was threatening that he would kill himself if he didn't, Dream didn't comply and Wilbur died."
That doesn't make Dream look less scary, sure he didn't physically kill Wilbur himself but he would be known as having caused Wilbur to die.
Also if people could chose not to be revived then Tommy would be dead right now and Ghostbur would be alive still.

wilbur redemption arc
The amount of determination in wilbur’s voice to avenge tommy is powerful 😢
@@Blitzwaffen
But he left the game sounds on.
@@Blitzwaffen
Again, every action character does has to have its purpose.
Imagine dream secretly followed them and heared them😨
