What if Techno and Sir Billiam are one and the same, and the egg remembers him from the past? Why didn't he ever mention this? Well, I heard a theory somewhere that Ranboo and Karl used to time travel together. Karl is afraid he is slowly losing his memory from all the traveling, so the person thought that the time travel might be where Ranboo's memory problems came from, and why he doesn't remember it. What if Ranboo, Karl, and Techno were all time travelers at one point? Karl is afraid one day he'll travel and forget who he is. Maybe those fears partially come from Techno, who traveled so much that he _did_ forget who he was. I also saw a theory that Sir Billiam, sometime after the Masquerade, learned how to fight back against the egg and got rid of the blood vines, earning him the nickname "the blood god". That theory said that Sir Billiam was Techno's ancestor, and the name just stuck across multiple generations. But what if Techno liked that name so much he started calling himself that? Maybe when he traveled for the last time, he lost his memory, and the only thing he remembered was that he was the blood god. That would also explain why he isn't influenced by the egg anymore. Edit: Okay so I came back to this after a while and tbh, while I still really like this theory, I realize that it's probably really unlikely all things considered.

Like, we can see Sir Billiam was brainwashed by the egg in tales from the Dream smp, and the egg also stated that Techno looks familiar. Maybe the voice from the egg never left sir Billiam's brain, and this whole voices-in-his-head cruse kind of thing just got passed down multiple generations. As time passes, without actual access to the egg, the voices remaining in the family strayed further and further away from its origin, the egg. Eventually the voice evolved into *us*, the voices that are simultaneously bloodthirsty and super protective towards our blood god.
