Your videos are awesome you put 110% in everything you do and comes out fantastic I also love how you know a little bit of everything and if you don't you sure learn quick👍
I know that I’m late to the party (so to speak) but you’ll appreciate the tip bc you will use it next time. Get a pole and run longer strokes vertically and don’t be afraid to load (reload) your roller. As long as you don’t spit (splatter) …this will save you time and your back will thank you. Personally, I like to “cut in” first with a brush, hand roller, or sponge pad then roll up to it. If you get good at this, it might even reduce the number of coats required but definitely will reduce the amount of “holidays” ….those pesky spots that show up after drying where touch up is needed. Having the scaffold is golden but for this height, it only should be used for “brush” work (cutting in and holidays). Depending on talent with higher ceilings, a longer pole or even positioning the roller guy on a proper height platform setting where full extension is still needed. Adding the pole will allow a two person team to punch this out in little time by having one fill the roller pan and moving it while the other rolls (switching roles as needed). My wife is good at cutting in, so after positioning her at optimal height on the scaffold, I’m responsible for wheeling her around. This keeps her from burning wasted energy, stretching, awkward positions, and is much safer than climbing ladders or the scaffold. Then I follow up with the roller while she keeps me in paint. The only thing faster/better is spraying but in truth that is also a matter of debate/opinion (depending on the painter).
Also wanted to add that SHE always picks the colors and I am happy to have her do sample patches and story boards ….as many as she wants. The deal is that when I come into the equation, it is production time (I’m all about time and motion) so that we are not pausing to think it through or decide midway through it. My only ask is that if she starts to question HER CHOICE, that is fine but nothing changes production time. If after a few days, she wants to go in a different direction, I’m good with that. We simply repeat the process where decisions are made the same way. PS she loves to create her own color schemes …especially on trim, her favorite way to make something pop. That said, accent walls are almost always utilized such that when she is done, the room just looks beautiful without the paint being overtly noticed. Like with her makeup, you know it’s there but if you SEE the makeup…. it was too much, wrong color, done wrong.
Tip from a professional painter, ANY time you are using a roller to paint large flat surfaces, buy a simple wooden extension pole that screws into the end of the roller handle. A 4 foot one for sure, but also a 6 foot one for overhead surfaces. It may seem awkward at first, but be patient. The use of the leverage it gives you makes the painting go much faster and there is less fatigue on your arms and body. You can cover and fill in uneven surfaces, crevices and butt joints easier with the added leverage of the pole extension.
I hope the chickens appreciate their new 5 star accommodations. They just might be the most spoiled chickens on UA-cam. Lol. Love you guys, all the way from New Hampshire. ❤
The minty green and lino reminds me of a 1960s house here in Australia. They were workers houses and used panels inside that you could see the joins even when the house is finished. Very nostalgic ❤
Your bees are looking great!!!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝. My brother and grandfather raised bees. My grandfather raised bees,so he showed my brother and he put in a queen excluder in above the brood so she couldn't lay eggs above so they never had to bother the brood to harvest the honey. My brother used it for his FFA Project ( Future Farmers of America ). Maybe next time you feed your chickens the sprouts you could broadcast them so they forage and not bunch up so much. Keep up the good work. Really enjoy the scenery and commerodrie. ❤👍🐓🐔📹☺️

Grounding, strip some 12/2 wire out and dig a trench, lay about ten feet of it down, wet the ground and bury it. 5, 6 pieces, twist them together. That will help but some suitable rod is needed. Painting the rebar with copper colored paint won't work either. I would find that issue at the mines. Using cut off rebar for fuses in the disconnect boxes. You could tell before you opened them as the paint would be melted off. Kind of dangerous. Deadly. Hey the coop looks great. So glad the bees are doing well. They need to get with it. Your ground is as rocky as mine. What about setting up a hydraulic/diesel screen deck. Scalp off the rocks and have fairly clean dirt to farm with. Let the sand and gravel outfit keep the rocks for the dirt or do it yourself. Sure one is sitting around somewhere close not being used. That old river/glacial bed is going to be tough to farm. Darn, you got the backhoe bucket dirty. Good vid, much enjoyed. Hope you find the other lost one. hard to do a retake. Good drone shots. Glad it's working. Some serious mountains around. Yjat wind is going to be tough coming around them.

We will watch as fast as they come.
Once again, you knocked it out of the park with a building project. Well researched, executed and explained ... along with the video of some very happy and beautiful chickens. Bless you for taking such good care of them! It is a Castle and a Palace!!! Can't wait to see you move it. That will be fun! PS. Back pain from your recent endeavors. Consider back strengthening exercises during the long Winter months. Wear some back braces. Once the pain sets in, consider ibufrofen and tylenol. Alternate and start with presciption dosage (up to about 800 mg). Consult with a doctor to get best recommendations. Love, love you guys!!!
Hubby is always the "tester". We bought an energiser second hand which plugs into the mains power. It's the bomb. Gives a really decent jolt. Something we learnt from a farmer. If you get a blade of grass and wet it (usually lick it), then touch the blade of grass as far away from the fence as you can, then slowly get closer until you feel the jolt through the grass. Much less painful with our mains powered energiser.
My chickens lovelovelove sprouts. Only problem is that becomes another part-time job to keep 'em rolling. I see a heated closet in the coop being built in your future just for sprouting processing :)
When I saw the chickens sitting on their new perch it just made me chuckle that they look so content in their new Designer house. 🐓🐣🐓🐣🐓🐣
I love that you’re singing while painting. The 50 first dates moment was heavy nostalgia! ❤ 😊
I think it would be cool to paint a mural on that light green wall. Flowers, sunflowers, grass, bees. How fun. Beautiful coop
agree....needs something--too 'old lady-ish color'....to be left plain wall
Then you could paint the ceiling sky blue w/ clouds.

Those poles you screw into the roller handle work good for ceilings and even the walls. It helps spread the paint thinner so you use less paint.
And much better leverage in doing the job.
Love watching you guys! Use an extension stick to make your paint rolling TONS easier!
Always watching, from Oregon.
Came to say the exact same thing. 2 hands are always better than one even at comfortable height
Yes. Screw a mop handle into the base of the roller and you have leverage. Much easier

You both are amazing pet owners. I love that you wanted to make sure the chickens had some trees. Bravo
I hope the chickens appreciate their new 5 star accommodations. They just might be the most spoiled chickens on UA-cam. Lol. Love you guys, all the way from New Hampshire. ❤
Thoroughly loved all the work you put into your chicken house. Looking forward to seeing other projects.
Man those chicks are living large, I am sure they will be very happy this next winter, you guys really do take care of your animals, as they take care of you :)
I just love your "boutique" chicken coop! I am so excited for your new place, its going to be so nice for you, the only thing I see is that it seems to have longer winters, but still, it is such a great space. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with us.
The “chic she-shed” turned out great!!!! I love the little door you made for them and how they single-file came outside on the ramp🤣 Love how colorful and cozy they all looked up on the roost. Great job you guys….keep on making videos…we all looove them!!!!!💕
Your chickens are very privileged to be living in such a beautiful coop, and chicken run! 🐓🐔👌As usual you've done a very good, and thorough job.
It's nice to see the snow melting at long last, you can hopefully carry on with more outdoor projects. Good luck 🍀😊♥️
When painting with a roller, use an extension rod that screws into the handle. It makes a HUGE difference in the amount of physical labor you expend.
I'm in the process of painting osb in my cabin, and it is a real pain. In some places it has 3 layers of paint. I'm painting on the shiny side. The chickens have a beautiful place to live.♥️🇺🇲
U2 totally amazes me of what all you can do together and how hard you work. You guys are my favorite site to watch. Keep up the good work
I am so very happy that you decided to bring the chickens with you! They are so lucky to have you both! Great Job on the coop!
So sad when video finishes so I rewind and watch you guys all over again. 😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The time always flies so fast when I watch and thoroughly enjoy your videos. Your chooks will be very happy in their very stylish new home. Great job you guys. Cheers from Australia. 👏🏻🇦🇺🦘
Beautiful chicken castle! Your chickens look and sound happy 😊
LIKE THE CCOOP WITH ONE WALL A DIFFERENT COLOR
Your chickens get fed like kings and queens.
My wife and I enjoy watching every video we move from Ohio to Virginia because it was so much snow now at 73 years old I’m glad we did when we were younger we enjoyed it what are you going to do with the other property keep up the good work ❤you guys and all you do
Love watching you two working on projects together!! Coup turned out awesome!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy watching you two. Honesty, really hard work, and a dream. Yes if only we were younger.
I grew up on a western ND farm and my wife grew up on a farm in northern Montana, and that is where we live. Keep them coming. You are good speakers and great entertainers. We will watch as fast as they come.
You've got some very lucky chickens . There going to love their new home
Sometimes there is a switch to reverse the controls on the bucket, maybe you just need to flip a switch?
Hubby is always the "tester". We bought an energiser second hand which plugs into the mains power. It's the bomb. Gives a really decent jolt. Something we learnt from a farmer. If you get a blade of grass and wet it (usually lick it), then touch the blade of grass as far away from the fence as you can, then slowly get closer until you feel the jolt through the grass. Much less painful with our mains powered energiser.
you might want to put a net over the top of the chicken coup to keep eagles & hawks from stealing your chickens.
the Chickens are going living in the Tashma hall, I like it a lot, age they;ll lay eggs in the winter.
i don; know why it said age should have been and
My chickens lovelovelove sprouts. Only problem is that becomes another part-time job to keep 'em rolling. I see a heated closet in the coop being built in your future just for sprouting processing :)
