I thought I was the only person who made chicken pancakes! Instead of throwing scratch, I usually give my girls a couple of tortillas. Sometimes I run out so I make pancakes without salt or leavening. They love it!
Yeah! Several folks I follow don’t give their chickens such care. Such as not cleaning water bowls or not putting straw or shavings in the nests etc. irritating! It’s nice to see cared for chickens. They were so cute lined up and peeking out from the new see thru area of their run! Now heat? SWEET
Love that you're reusing things from other projects. As my G-ma always said: " Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." You guys are the best. Love the plastic panels on the chicken run. They can enjoy sun streaming through even in the winter.
One suggestion.... You may want to add a screen to both your battery box air input vent hole and the PVC vent pipe to keep the small critters out of your battery box. They love to munch on the electrical insulation. Great Video!
Same here. The only issue I've had is after 5 years now, they've begun to crack at the screws and my little overhang breaks very easily with snow. But even if they need replacing on the 6th year, I think it's still a good material to use.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your "chicken coop" vlogs. What I refer to as "The Chicken Palace". This has been the best chicken coop, Palace, build I have ever seen for a seriously cold climate. People all over the world can learn from your thoughtfulness and experience. Plus, your care, feeding and love for these birds is awesome. I bet those eggs are some of the best tasting just about anywhere. Thanks for the joy you give them and us, your faithful viewers. Best wishes.
WOW, I need to come hang out with your chickens. Pancakes for breakfast, they have it made with you all as their keepers. You two are the best! Sending hugs Arielle & Eric. 💜🤗
Restore, reuse, recycle were the three R ‘s taught to our children in the 80’s. Nice to see this continues. The Brits call it up~cycling. Your sub. numbers are creeping way up!! 25:56 My first greenhouse had these panels and the snow always slid off no matter if it was just a few hrs of sunlight. I am sure these chickens feel like they are in a spa. Might I suggest getting a thermostat for the chicken run that shows highs and lows throughout 24 hrs. I’m just interested to see how warm the panel end will be. I doubt that end will ever have the ground freeze solid. Great build on the solar and utility room in the coop. Being organized is time saving. I’m astonished at how hands on you both have become since moving to Alaska. I remember you driving up through Canada in winter weather to your first place. Always grateful to see the most current video. ❤❤🇨🇦
Bless the chickens little hearts. They were so cute all lined up just basking in the sun. They are going to have such a better winter with all the hard work y'all are putting in for them.
Eric you have so much knowledge. I love how you plan everything out to make it perfect. Always seem to have a plan B. I so enjoy watching both of you. You both should be so proud of all your accomplishments ❤
Those crepes looked delicious! I ❤ everything you make! You are such a wonderful person Eric! You and Arielle both are such hardworking people! You can build anything & do just anything ! Awesome job ❤
Loved every last minute! Reason to be proud, Eric & Arielle! Look how far you have come with your electrical set ups! Your chickens are lucky! ❤ Keep on keeping on … you are simply the Best! 💞
LOL! When Eric said, "I have your door dash order" I laughed so hard. That Tractor has been a life saver for the two of you. That's the one thing I didn't like about Alaska, the lack of sun during the Winter. I didn't know batteries took water. You learn something new every day. The two of you are so intelligent.
I really hope the weather is holding off until you get everything done there and that was quite a meal you made for the chickens and a great solar powered chicken coop always great to watch your videos Thanks.🤠👍🇺🇲
I absolutely love your care of the chickens! Truly inspiring to see all your hard work, and a job completed effortlessly. The pumpkin carving was super cute!
Might want to put screen on the end of the vent pipe. When snow gets higher you could get critters making nest in the battery box. It is all coming together well. You two did a great job!
You guys are an awesome team. You always support each other, pull together and get it done. Can't even imagine anything that you couldn't figure out and get done! Way to go!!!!😊
Hello from Cape Cod Massachusetts. Eric and Ariel can I just say you two are a joy to watch. Your videos are not only entertaining but I learn so much from both of you. Thank you. You all take care. We love you both. Keep those videos coming👍🇺🇸❤️
We received our 2024 calendar and are well pleased. We don't have it in us to toss out the old ones either. Lovely pictures... thanks for finding the time to put the calendar together for us!
Chickens already had wonderful house and you guys are turning it into state of art chicken coop. That is awesome!! Reusing your old solar system from your other house is a great idea. It’s fun to see you guys two are making more progress day by day. Awesome video, guys. Thanks for sharing your progress.
Eric & Ariel’s you did a great job with the chicken coop.I don’t think there is many chickens get homemade pancakes.Keep up the great work you two.Thank you for sharing your journey.🌺🌺
Love what your doing! I'm sure you already have, but if not (speaking from experience) you need a hardware cap for the vent tube on the batteries. It will help keep the mice and squirrels out of the batteries.
You guys could live on the moon and make it work. Loved the pancakes for the chickens, Arielle. I'm waiting for a swimming pool and giant flat screen TV for the chickens to enjoy. They could watch Foghorn Leghorn cartoons and Animal Planet. The utility room in the chicken coop is genius, Eric! Nice job with all the wiring.
I really like watching you guys, you have an idea and you get stuff done I love the partnership, you’re respect for each other shines through, thank you for taking us all on the journey and teaching us about kindness
My favorite couple hard at work again, working on the chicken coop to get it nice for the chickens this winter, keeping them light & warm. Solar power to help keep the chicken house warm and give them some light. You two did a wonderful job.😀😀❤❤👍🙏🦃🐔🐓🐤I know the chickens approve of the job done & they know you love them as we love you.
Is there anything Eric can't do????? And if there is something he can't do, Arielle can fill in and help out. So enjoy watching the two of you build another life in Alaska.
Excuse me, Eric, what?? From someone who doesn’t know what the heck you just did to hook up your electric and heat, I just have to say I think you’re brilliant. Good job. It must be so comforting for you both knowing your chickens are safe and warm. Looking forward to the next one.
You guys spoiling your chickens is some of my favorite. Loved seeing all the fancy food they get too! Loved the solar tutorial too tyvm. 💗🙏🐔🐓🐣🐤🐥🐔🥞🐔😆💗💗💗
As a child here in the UK I can well remember waking to frost on the inside of our bedroom windows, I loved the patterns they made and looked forward to the different patterns that each morning would bring. Now with a centrally heated house and icy cold mornings fewer I no longer have that simple pleasure..
Love seeing how well you live in a challenging environment. Believe me I know how tough it can be, I live in Minnesota and you are living much further north, so has to be harder. I did get a new snowblower because my old one refused to work in cold weather last winter 🥶. I shoveled all winter and had a very very snowy winter. Oh did I say I am 74.
Horra Eric, great, great job with the battery system and idea of phone’s memory. You are just great!!! Both of you are lucky to have each other! Bless you.
Eric and Ariel, I can’t thank you enough for your channel. Absolutely love it. You two amaze me all that you do. There is nothing that you are afraid to tackle and I appreciate that you have the skills to get them accomplished. Love you guys. God bless.
If you two ever decide to take it easy, you can teach on-line classes on about a million subjects, and you would be doing the world a favor. A hands-on class with you could be the adventure of lifetime for some lucky person - and they could bunk in the chicken coop for the duration of the class. Yes, one can daydream about such things.
I just love your visits with us. I stare at the screen about your whole video. It's so informative, interesting, and brings me joy. Your chickens are beautiful. Thanks for all you do.
1. Home-cooked naturally organic breakfasts, lunches, and dinners delivered to your door, 2. solar-powered lights and electricity, 3. heat... **that feeling when.... a flock of chickens in Alaska are living better than me!! 😕😆 Great build guys, glad to see Eric wrapping the ground wire on the light switch screw in the proper/clock-wise rotation. And, glad to see the diagonal brace 2x4 inside the new door is the proper direction (it goes from the bottom hinge to the upper corner, like you have done!!) 👍👍👍
Absolutely love watching you two. I am recovering from auto accident and binge watching even thought I have seen all your videos. You guys are rocking the chicken coop
Greetings from Pakistan, chicken coop looks awesome now after modifications.Really appreciate your efforts to make chickens happy during upcoming harsh weather.Your chickens are so lucky to have delicious breakfast, fish in dinner and solar system for heating.Care for chickens is at the best. Keep working, cooking, eating, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, canning and smiling.

Your chickens are so fortunate to have such good parents. It’s clear how much you love them.☮️❤️
the chickens are getting happier by the minute by two loving souls. Doing a great job up there in the frozen tundra... thanks for bringing us along
One suggestion.... You may want to add a screen to both your battery box air input vent hole and the PVC vent pipe to keep the small critters out of your battery box. They love to munch on the electrical insulation. Great Video!
I have used those polycarbonate panels for my greenhouse. Works great. Lots of light for the chickens. Great job
Same here. The only issue I've had is after 5 years now, they've begun to crack at the screws and my little overhang breaks very easily with snow. But even if they need replacing on the 6th year, I think it's still a good material to use.
Love what you’ve done on the chicken coop! The winter will be so much nicer for them.
The chickens are lucky to have you. Eric, you are quite a skilled man. I love your care for your chickens. Stay warm.

Inches and fractions -- omg!! Thank god for metric!!
Seriously guys I love how much effort you put into your animals.

Love what your doing! I'm sure you already have, but if not (speaking from experience) you need a hardware cap for the vent tube on the batteries. It will help keep the mice and squirrels out of the batteries.
We had our first below zero temp and a bit of snow on Halloween. It didn’t stick around for more than a few hours. Love your videos.
You, two, are the most creative, hard working couple on youtube. You are so wholesome and honest. Love to both of you.
You guys could live on the moon and make it work. Loved the pancakes for the chickens, Arielle. I'm waiting for a swimming pool and giant flat screen TV for the chickens to enjoy. Awesome upgrades and repurposing for your chickens!
Chicken run is a total game changer. Pancakes, pumpkins and fish. What more do you need. They have it made. Hope you have a great week.

I can say it would be extremely hard packing a diaper bag around and a baby with all you two love to do!!! Anyway, love your videos! Keep up the great work and fun you two do!!

Warms my heart to see how much you love and care for all of your animals. Fur and feathered.
