It was a live studio audience. Believe it or not, the producers would often have to actually quiet them down because it was too loud for the actors to say their lines. It was like a small WWE crowd.
Those are the best multi-camera sitcoms (Married...With Children, Seinfeld, Titus, there are probably a lot more). The ones that didn't need a laugh track because every joke landed perfectly in the studio.
Ed O'Neill actually said once the cheering sometimes threw him off. There were episodes when the audience cheered for him twice in one episode when he entered the living room.
Not gonna lie i actually prefer this type of audience than the laugh track they usually use. The Married..... With Children crowd was always more energetic and vocal which made the show stick out
I love the fact that, were the sitcom real life and the audience not there, he would have just been standing in the doorway grinning for 40 seconds, whilst his family pay not a blind bit of notice, ahah... Someone needs to make a version where the audience is cut out and replaced with urban ambient noise :P
I always loved this about the show. Married probably has the most die hard loyal and loving fans of any tv show. And the applause are richly deserved because this cast in these roles were perfection. The only other shows with audience applause that might be able rival MWC's audience is Family Matters, Happy Days, Sanford and Son and The Jamie Foxx Show.
what other show has this?1 an un-controllable, loyal, and admiring fan-base/crowd. every other show WISHES that their main character, nevermind second- and third-main characters got this kind of applause, every single time they make their first appearance. when Kelly's got nothing on, and they got nuts, great. then Al comes in, and their INSANE. THAT'S a following, a fan-base, and audience connection right there. That's how you do it folks. never again will there be anything like this...
Actors on this show always had to pause for effect.. the audience adored them....especially when Christina Applegate would come down the stairs in a great outfit...lol..well any outfit haha
I saw this episode as a child. I was 8-9 when I watched these reruns in the 90s…. I understood that he was being sarcastic when he said “ah there’s no place like home” I knew how much he “hated” his wife and kids and house and his life… But now as an adult, I understand one thing. He loved them all… no matter how much he stated otherwise, he loved peg and bucks and Kelly and whatever damn dog they threw at him 😂 Best show, can’t replicate it
the show DID USE A LAUGH TRACK. There are videos without the track and it feels....wrong. Best shows EVER for me!! The Simpsons, In Living Color and Married...with Children
This was edited and looped out of sync. Even if you are not perceptive enough to see Peg flip the same blue magazine page 3 times, Bud dive down at the keyboard 3 times or the audience roar down 3 times, any true MWT fan would have immediately realized this this was totally fudged. Very obvious attempt.
Season 3 or 4 is when the audience really started getting involved. It gave great energy to the show. Been watching it back lately, i was young when it was on so didnt really get it, it looked a bit cheap back then but i get it now. The show is priceless nowadays especially compared to the woke garbage infesting everything.
I know this is edited to be extra long, but there is truth in it. Ed O’Neill didn’t like the rowdy audiences they usually had; it messed up the timing of the comedy. And the cheering for a character’s first entry could be quite long.
I dont remember all the hooting and hollaring etc. during the first few seasons, but it got to the point where it became so annoying that I stopped watching. If it was coming from a live audience, then this would have been the right audience for a joker during a batman film.
I wouldn’t say excessive. They truly loved him and the show. It’s like a sports event even. This made the show even better. The audience was something even awesome about this show
the reason this show worked cuz it was real. realistic life of a disgruntled working man providing for a dysfunctional family, that a lot of us can relate to. The 80s-90s was a good relaxed era where nobody really sweated the small shit. now everything is pc and people are at war with each other.
And you have a problem with the audience Gringo ! Seriously. At least it's a LIVE DAMN audience, unlike today with fake laff tracks. Ps: MARRIED WITH CHILDREN. Best CLASSIC POLITICALLY INCORRECT SITCOM 😁👍🏻
It was a live studio audience. Believe it or not, the producers would often have to actually quiet them down because it was too loud for the actors to say their lines. It was like a small WWE crowd.
And then there was The thootpaste sandwich and someone yelling dont do it from The audience 😄
Yeah it had to be. Every cheering that happened in the show was different each time.
@@AsahamanaSteve got the crest sandwich 😂
a wwe(f) crowd during the attitude era when the glass shatters..
One of the great things about this was was it was a real studio audience and nobody was forced to applaud. This entire show was genuine.
A blessing and a curse. Much like Seinfeld, sometimes a studio audience needs to be told to take it down a notch.
Entire show was genuine, except this obviously edited and looped clip.
Those are the best multi-camera sitcoms (Married...With Children, Seinfeld, Titus, there are probably a lot more). The ones that didn't need a laugh track because every joke landed perfectly in the studio.
Much better an genuine than Big Bang theory
So in the sixth take they still cheered like they saw it for the first time?
I like how at some point even Ed starts looking around like "Jesus Christ, calm down!"
>excessive
Not for this show. This audience fucking ruled because they cheered like a sports crowd.
I totally agree. They're just as great as an international soccer crowd or a euroleague basketball crowd.
He should have broken the 4th wall and be like “you guys! We’re doing a show!”
Al was like when is this cheering gonna stop?
Tilson Tomas never 😎
Tilson Thomas soon
Ed O'Neill actually said once the cheering sometimes threw him off. There were episodes when the audience cheered for him twice in one episode when he entered the living room.
This particular clip sounded like it was looped to me. Check the swinging door.
@@Money-talking yeah they show the other shot of the women twice and that's where it loops
Not gonna lie i actually prefer this type of audience than the laugh track they usually use. The Married..... With Children crowd was always more energetic and vocal which made the show stick out
To be honest, I prefer real live audience sounds over laugh tracks. The audience cheering is the main part I love about this show.
Al earned EVERY bit of applause he got.
The best cheering was when bud got laid lol. You could hear guys in the background yell “get it bud”
Married With Children's audience cheering is legendary. Most men under 30 can't even raise their voice that high
who is the episode
Huh?
All men born after 1989 can't raise their voice high. All they know is talk, whisper, use they phones and lie.
Weird link
It's perfectly dosed, either you feel it or you just pretend
Another thing to remember is that many audience members would indulge in a beverage or two before the tapings. 🍻
I use to always love when everyone's finished the occasional "YEA AL!!" lol
Haha, or my favorite, the Kelly "OWWW!"
@@serialhag1647 True hahaha!!
Yea that guy is a Legend whoever that is always hahaha
Followed by a "ROO! ROO! ROO! ROO!" 😂😂😂
Thank you sir, I was searching that exact thing lol!

When my family finally sees me leave my room.
Man, I should install a sensor at my home's entrance to play the cheering from this when I get home. I don't know if I'd ever get sick of it lol
You Al Bundy?
Yes, hold the applause.
Lol
they were always the loudest when kelly walks in or bud meets a hot girl!
Top 10 EPIC anime entrances.
whos them episode?
Oh shut up
Leonardo Flechas this wasn’t anime though.

For some reason am standing there that long with hands full staring at them for forty seconds while no one went to
Help him does make sense though lol
Al* not am
That's gold

Play this every time you enter a room
this is one of the best studio audiences i've ever heard
He comes in and then just stands there in awkward silence for no reason before talking.

This was edited to be longer as a joke
@@UltimateLegoFan324 I know.
but you know how the crowds always are.
My point still stands for them (un-edited, actual ones)
Unhappily Ever After which was created by the same people from MwC. By the final season, every character entrance was met with applause.
only other show I ever saw with this type of applause was Happy Days.

The video was modified. The original cheering in the episode wasn't this long. Good joke though...
Angelus half way it was repeated
who is this episode?
No shit 😂
Lol yeah you can hear it repeat..and see the door swing open twice
Thanks captain obvious
I love how at some point the actor looks around like “they’re still going?”
Always when I come back home from the work I hear the cheering in my ears.
This is why I love this show xD
T L rite
Has the guy who uploaded this edited to make it longer? The door keeps swinging.
Al truly is that awesome.
Repeated laughter used here
Hey Dad, why did you take a long pause at the door before you said that line?
A missed opportunity to break the fourth wall.
It's almost like watching something on a loop
What do you mean, "Excessive?" They're just showing the KING his proper respect and appreciation!
No one:
A man holding 2 bags of rice and 500 people cheer:
Married With Children's audience cheering is excessive but this was very funny.
That's not excessive..... That's Al Bundy.......
4 touchdowns in one game!
I don't know why everyone is mentioning AI in the comments, this was a real sitcom.
The Simpsons and Futurama made several jokes about the show's unruly audience hooting and hollering.
This is amazing!
That was fukkin metal!
it was cutted, repeated and played in reverse .... just watch the door...
Hey,can you make audience clapping and cheering in sitcoms video compilation?
This video made me smile
This made my nose clog
AL BUNDY SAVED OUR MILKY WAY GALAXY, including EARTH and several other galaxies!

Al Bundy One of the All Time Greatest dad's in TV History

God satan This isn't real
Doyan ave noooooooooooooo
They looped part of the video over and over. There is actually a set limit of time that a crowd can cheer an clap at a live taping.
Doyan ave audience were good back unlike retarded iPhone people now
real*3
With MWC you could tell the studio audience was the real deal, not like the laugh track ridden sitcoms of the modern era.
I dont remember all the hooting and hollaring etc. during the first few seasons, but it got to the point where it became so annoying that I stopped watching. If it was coming from a live audience, then this would have been the right audience for a joker during a batman film.

It makes me cringe every time, so annoying and long.
