Even when you're not actively doing Sa'chil's voice its still close enough to where I can picture Sa'chil herself talking about the updates as we travel while I have the vid on my second monitor and it brings me joy! Finally...somebody got this idea, can't wait to see that one. As somebody who plays Kenshi, I can't wait to see this concept in Skyrim. I recommend to give this option from the start, why approach Sa'chil and become friends (well ok thats silly question), but why not to approach her as a sword for hire?

Just wanted to drop a comment here: I've been revisiting Skyrim recently, playing on survival mode. Sa'chil has been a great follower mod so far, and she's really made the whole experience so much more memorable. She's very quickly becoming a permanent "headcanon" character for me (something reserved for followers of really high quality like Inigo and Lucien), and I'm super excited for the 1.1.0 update.
For me, Skyrim is a game from my childhood that I can always return to without it losing its magic, even after over 1000 hours total. And because of that, I always find it so awesome to see people discovering and falling in love with it, even after so many years. I hope you continue to enjoy the game, and continue to enjoy developing this great mod.
Also, Sa'chil is adorable. Me and a friend of mine have been gushing about how smol (and potentially throwable) she is.

3:58 I was gonna mention, if you could make Sa'Chil make a comment when Crimson Nirn Root is nearby it would be a nice touch for that one. Of course the approach (maybe roast it) will be on you. But just a reminder where you pass by and she knows it's nearby would be a interesting touch I don't think many follower mods do. That's just an idea though.

Sa'chil is such a heart warming companion, I just downloaded the mod a few days ago and I love it, it works great in Xbox btw, atleast for me, also the voice acting is incredible, not only sa'chil but also ke'tud amazing mod overall, she just gave me the shield of cities and it's adorable
I got a question on how to make her not start murdering my other companions, she is a beast in combat, maybe too much where she ends up deflagrating everyone in the room, which leads to an all out brawl

I just wanted to take the time to write out my genuine appreciation for the amount of love and care that has gone into the creation of this wonderful character!! :3 Although I am relatively new to the Skyrim scene, I can tell from the month or so I've had her mod installed that you've created a genuine treasure here! Sa'chil has been an absolute joy to have around, she's honestly amazing!
(If you're interested in reading, heh, here is a small summary of my current character. X3 Don't feel obligated to read any of my waffling though! I have an entire Google document written about her. XD
So Akahaila Solnia, a brown tabby khajiit woman, has admittedly lived a pretty harsh life. She remembers nothing of her parents, as both of their lives were snatched away by the Dark Brotherhood when she was just a cub, and who were subsequently happened upon and dispatched by an Imperial patrol almost right after. She was taken into Windhelm and thrown behind bars under the jurisdiction and property of the Nordic warden (still unnamed), who took interest to her from the moment he saw her. He offered her a life beyond the cage if she swore an oath to serve his every request and demand, and seeing she had no choice in the matter, she accepted. Sweeping the floors, providing him meals, and eventually stealing for the man - he was a corrupt bureaucrat seeking riches through dishonest means, with the eventual goal of leaving Skyrim for greener pastures. Over the years, his stolen riches grew, but so did his greed and his ego, eventually leading to the discovery of his illegal schemes, resulting in his untimely but well deserved end.
Akahaila, the crafty khajiit that she is, broke free the previous morning, taking more than a handful of jewels and bags of septims with her, with the same goal as her 'pet owner' (his own words), but one that like him, would not come swiftly or easily to her. Years later, she has taken residence in Rawlith (a modded location) South of Helgen, paying off the Imperial patrols, looting nearby dungeons for valuables, and rarely being in contact with others aside from strict business. She's a calculating, sneaky, forthright, and clever individual, but there's still a beating heart within her - she's frustrated over the endless cycle of poverty and solitude, the people of the land in which she inhabits, and inability to control her own destiny.
So one day, she happened upon Sa'chil. Initially starting out as a simple but curious business venture, her heart has opened up a notable amount since.
The vigilant mod quest commentary would be really cool, there is only very few followers that I can think of that comment on that huge quest. Best quest mod by far

Would be interesting if the cross gen eventually see dialog extensions. Like popular ones such as Wrymstooth or Moonpath which is rather cupcake sized quests/less time involved integrating over large expansive mods.

I played Skyrim in the last decade but didn’t start modding it until this year on a new pc, specifically bought to mod the heck out of Skyrim. I’ve been seeing amazing mods so seeing this excellent follower being developed currently is going to be a fun journey to go on with you. Keep up this outstanding work!!

re 'player as follower', I see it working as 'guide mode'
if you have a spot marked on the map, she gets another dialogue option "Can you take me here?"
She agrees, and you have the option of holding her hand-- which gives you the option to either engage 'automatic follower' mode, or have her walking ahead while you follow.
Would also need to plan for breaking the mode when combat happens and resuming afterwards.
Not only would it be cute, it would be a _great_ help for getting to those as yet unvisited spots rather than using clairvoyance!

I've been debating on making my own custom voiced follower mod and after stumbling across the Sa'chil mod as well as loving her upon the first meeting, I've become more determined to make my own character into a mod.

I've been having a blast with Sa'chil, and can say that we finally have a follower mod that can surpass Serana Dialogue Addon , which is very impressive since it looks like Sa'chil has a lot more work and love to look forward to from her charismatic creator.

I found this mod a few months ago. Well done. By far my favorite follower mod. If you would like any pro bono assistance in the writing, I spent a few years studying at the Loft Literary Center. Again, outstanding work. I'm looking forward for the next update! 🎉

Imagine if Sa'chil used the elemental blast spells; that'd be dope.
My biggest gripe with followers is bad voice acting and/or dialogue, and that's the reason why I couldn't play more than a few hours with popular companions like Vilja, Sofia, Daumbra or Serana Add-on (no offense to anyone who enjoys these mods, I respect the amount of work authors put into them). After some time I gave up on the idea of having an interesting follower and stopped downloading these mods.
However, for some mysterious reason UA-cam kept recommending this video to me for days, and I finally gave up and clicked on it. I've been listening for half an hour to Q&A about a follower I never knew existed, and enjoyed it! Don't take it as mere flattery, but your voice is so endearing and has enough natural charisma to keep me, a complete stranger to the mod, interested. I searched up some gameplay videos with Sa'chil and damn I'm sold! Very eager to finally have a companion that feels like a fellow adventurer and not a forced love interest with lewd jokes.

Checking back here Occasionally. I'm curious how far out a possible port is for console. Mainly due to my testing of Load orders to ensure stability xD. I'll prob need to drop something for her download surely but still xD. But very much looking forward to having a full replacement to Inigo. He doesn't quite cover what newer ones do rn such as DLCs and romance.

@scarundy :D I should hopefully have stable LO prepared lol. I rarely crash with my set ups, long as I don't go crazy. Series consoles handle the mods lil better than last gen. Well it handles the quest mods and such better lol.

A magical mishap(perhaps a teleportation spell/angry Daedra spell) ends up sending her tumbling past the *BARRIER* separating universes as a cosmic fluke, eventually with her ending up spinning on top of an apartment building in Boston with most of her gear lost to the cosmos. Que the frantic scrambling for weaponry and attempts to figure out where she wound up, and then becoming increasingly more horrified and awed as she learns of Fallout's history, while slightly struggling to survive and covering up her features so as not to get shot(Yeowch! Her sensitive ears!) on sight by any partially sane human.(I'm sure she'll be shocked to know humans are the only race on earth-and what horrors we could accomplish if left unchecked and unsupervised by Gods)
Or she just pops up relatively near the Sole Survivor and-counterintuitive to all survival instincts- follows the sounds of screaming and explosions to witness S.S. ripping apart whatever poor fellows got in their way, then cautiously watching and eventually approaching the S.S when she learns their-relatively- sane and won't immediately shoot her on sight, then pretty much glomping on to S.S out of sheer practical desire to survive-and having zero want in angering the person that has the same 'air' about them as The Dragonborn.
Just some possible ideas if you were in any way serious.😅

You can finish the College of Winterhold without casting a single spell and they make you arch mage, I wonder how you managed to make them LESS professional than them.

@Bethesda_haters_are_pathetic Tbh I have a pet peeve with mods mocking these faction quests when their with you. It's a game and like oblivion you get to lead factions. I liked that a lot bout those 2 games.
The college does make you use spells, especially to get the staff of magnus. They make you cast a ward spell and a fire spell to open a door. Etc. Immersion is shattered when followers complain about you being leader or something lol. They streamlined these factions compared to ES4 but it's still decent.

11:40 I wanna mention that looking back on it now that my brother forced me to read Berserk, because yeah he is into that, Sa'Chils mother reminds me a lot of Gambino who was Guts father figure, now I am not getting into details but I feel like I now understand what you were going for, a conflicted end to the mother figure story, maybe look into that one? Miura also seemed to barely be beginning but he tried that approach as well. Just a thought if you need to something to refer to for this aspect.
Quick question - currently installing a FUS modpack in Wabbajack. Is Sa Chil compatible with this modpack? I think it should be, if Sa Chil is standalone, but just want to make sure
Sa'chil is completely standalone. But make sure to check if you need some patches from her patch-hub :)

I remember seeing this mod when it was still at the point you had just added her teaching a hulking warrior nord to sneak. I didn't play skyrim at that time so I just made a mental note of it but now that I have the game amd I was looking up Inigo info (I chose him as my only mod for my first playthrough) i suddenly remember he was not the only Khajiit, and even if only half of your intended features back then made it in in that time she'd still give most follower mods a run for thier money. So now I am wondering if I should get Lucien and Sa'chill. Maybe you have some advice for a new player?
I'd say check out any mod you want to! Modding has no rules and whatever you are curious of, I'd say give it a shot 😁
