Oil life reset on a Chevy HHR #1

This is a short video on how to reset the digital oil life gauge on a Chevy HHR. I did it with engine off.

You can also use the list button go straight to oil life and hit the gas pedal three times. After turning key to accessories mode

after my oil change they didn't reset the oil life back, so i did it myself..thanks for sharing this info

Just got oil changed at Walmart and they forgot to reset oil life. So thanks for the help on that.

Remember to hold the enter button when acknowledging the oil life reset. I only tapped the button, and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

Yeah all that gas pedal crap does is flood your engine. This is the way to go. The gas pedal crap does not even make any sense. Is it's bull sh!t.

You are an idiot. The gas pedal on these cars are electric. Not by wire like old school cars. So if the engine is off the throttle body never even moves.
