2011 HHR oil change: What you need to know!

What you need to know to change the oil and filter in your Chevy HHR! Also, stick around to the end and I will show you the easiest way to reset the oil life indicator.

I always add oil to the filter before the putting the cap so its not dry and use an adjustable wrench, mine 2.4L

Open crescent wrench works fine

I use the same socket and a Ujoint attachment on the extension on the ratchet.

You can use a adjustable wrench if need be if you don't have the socket..

Where’s the drain plug? Would’ve been good to put in a video on how to change the oil since that’s part of it

Drain plug is underneath passenger side middle. Jack it up on the jack point on the passenger side.

I even used a big adjustable. Kinda tight but worked fine

When in doubt. Get the filter off before u drain the pan

Can't get an adjustable in on mine. It's the 2.0l no room at all for anything but the special shallow/low profile socket.

So you made a video saying what you need to know, but you couldn't show where the drain plug is.
