  • First time flying. I'd cranked up about 50 hours in Simulator, which I think helped a bit with some of the basics.
Karl from SmartAir was a incredible instructor, very patient, knowledgable & helpful with any Q's I had about flying or the aircraft.

No 2 hands on yoke during take off! It’s a safety thang!

What do you mean there? Should have one hand on it during take off? 🧐

@@XimunumiX yes. One hand on yoke and the other on throttle to ensure it remains at full power during climb out.

@@XimunumiX I didn’t mean to comes across in a rude manner. The CFI should’ve mentioned that to you. My aggravation lies with him, not you.

@@lcprivatepilot1969 Cheers Ic, that makes sense - I've seen a lot of pilots do generally have one hand on the throttle during take up, but never questioned it really. :)
No sweat mate, I didn't notice any rudeness & tbh I hadn't realised the video was public. 😅

@@XimunumiX most GA aircraft require only 2 to 3 fingers to lightly hold yoke when flying. Kinda like holding a bird firm enough to keep in your hand/fingers, but not so hard or tight that you may hurt the bird.
      Hope that makes sense.
      Happy/Safe Flying!
