- Finally! After 3 months of down time waiting for parts and for the annual inspection to be completed my PA38-112 Piper Tomahawk takes flight!
A big thank you to all my friends and family who have remained supportive for me to reach this goal even though I drive them crazy talking about airplanes too much! (....but is there really such a thing as "too much"?) - Авто та транспорт
Good old GTZW. I put about 13 hours on her while it was at Aero Aviation in 1979 and many more on the other Tomahawks they had at the time. Good to see some of the old fleet of PA-38s are still around.
That's amazing. What a small world! My medical examiner also did some training on it too. I have some spare fairings that are painted identical to TZW that I'm thinking may have been off one of the other aircraft at the school. I'm not sure what others are currently flying along with mine. It has been a great aircraft!
Nice flights! Bow Island looks very dry outside of the irrigation.
I have a buddy that has a Tomahawk, he flys out of High River.
It's been a hot/dry summer for our province and Bow Island area could definitely use more rain. I fly to High River often for the cheap fuel. It's a great airport to go to.
Love these Tomahawk! Learn to fly them for my PPL in Victoria BC Airport late 79/80.
They are great aircraft! I'm very happy with it so far. Your PPL training in 1979/1980 means these Tomahawks were basically brand new at the time. That would have been cool to see! 👍
One of the best aircraft I've flown.
I'm extremely happy with being a Tomahawk owner. It's such a great aircraft!
I've always had a soft spot for the Tomahawk - I envy you, enjoy!💜✌️👍😊
So far it has been a very nice aircraft to fly!
Nice video, I always wanted to do what your doing but never got there, good for you. But nobody paints aircraft art like I do so that's something anyway and I married a Canadian artist and brought her back to Arizona.
It's never too late to get in the sky!
Looks great! Live long the Tomahawk!
Thank you! By the way, I'm a big fan of Stinsons! A Stinson might be a family hauler for me eventually 👍 timeless classics
Love the scenery !, ❤
Love the paint scheme!
Thank you! It was a flight school plane from Lethbridge, Alberta in its early days and there was a second Tomahawk painted the same way at the school. I'm not sure what the reg of the other aircraft is so I don't know if it's still alive.
I have always loved the tomahawk. I would love to fly one.
I'm extremely happy I bought one. The visibility is amazing, they are fun to fly, and so far I'm averaging around 5.5 gal/hr which is also great!
love it Jr.
😎 thank you!
You're set to fly out then!
You bet! Drum is an easy day trip now 👊
