Roxie was an amazing yorkie who really loved others. In her final months you could see she felt her end coming close and was taking as much in as possible. Last year July and August she regularly came to my room and wanted to be with me. That time there was this eruption going on in Iceland and I was on the livestreams in my free time. When Roxie came in I'd pick her up, get a blanket, put it on my desk between me and the computer, lay her on the blanket and made it as comfortable as possible for her, she lay down and watched the livestream with me for a while each day. It's as if she knew what was going on. I will always associate that eruption with her and will always have that fond memory with me. She was 14.5 years old when she passed. On that note, this year on February 8 there was another eruption. It started early morning and there's some beautiful drone footage of it by Horour Kristleifsson. The reason I mention that eruption and the drone footage is because on February 9, exactly one day later Leo, our second yorkie passed away at the age of 12. For me that eruption was like one of those last hoora's, one last burst of life before dying that Leo's soul had before going. I know it's weird but that's how I feel.
