What are your favorite AF Full Frame lenses for Sony E?
#sonyemount #bestlens #sonylenses
I do most of my photography with manual focusing, so about 99.99% manual focusing, it is rare that I use autofocus. My Lenses for Sony FE are Sony 14mm 1.8 GM, ZEISS 21mm Distagon 21mm 2.8, Sony 24mm 1.4 GM, Sony Carl ZEISS Sonnar 35mm 2.8 ZA, Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35mm 2.0 Aspherical, Sony ZEISS Sonnar 55mm 1.8 ZA, Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 65mm 2.0 Aspherical, ZEISS Batis Sonnar 85mm 1.8, Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 110mm 2.5 and Sony 135mm 1.8 GM, I can recommend all of these Lenses. I never use filters, I never do videos. I do not like to use zoom lenses.
This is the best video ever , I subscribed directly for this channel because of this video, and I also subscribed to Christophers channel ,because of this video… just like those videos what we all really need 👏🏻🔥
Appreciate it Ali! Respect 😎
Tamron 28-75 is my absolute sleeper
My all time favorite for now would be the Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 Contemporary. I like how compact it is for a versatile standard zoom with constant f2.8 aperture. And the overall performance (autofocus, fringing, etc) isn't too far off from Sigma's own 24-70mm f2.8 Art lens for about $200 cheaper. It stays on my A7C 85% of the time for how versatile and easy to use it is.
I'd like to think that it's the full frame version of the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 Contemporary for the APS-C sensor.
Thanks!
Best review i have seen yet! I need a first lense for my Sony A7ii and thought Tamron might be inferior to other brands. However i like the value
Thanks mate) I appreciate it) Tamron is good enough)
Sony FE 135mm F1.8 G Master
Sigma 85 f1.4 dg dn so much better than the sony 85 gm. The viltrox 16mm f1.8 is amazing. What no 135 gm?? It rules the all
batis 85mm top dog
IMO u could easily put the viltrox 16mm 1.8 on the wide open lens... Fantastic lens!
Yeah, it’s good)
I have this lens and was shocked he didn’t have it on here I so love this lens and for doing photography of the northern lights here in Alaska and for the price its really hard to beat
Would you consider the Tamron 20-40 over the 17-28 or do you think that extra 3mm really factors in while shooting?
No, I wouldn’t) 17-28 is a better lens optically
Please help
What is better option
24-104 f4 + 85 mm f 1.8
Or
24-70 f2.8
I'd go for the 24-105 + 85
You may think I’m crazy but if I can only take one of my lenses with me on a hike here in Alaska I would take my Sony 70-200mm2.8 ii and maybe take my 1.4 or even 2x converters with me with my Sony A7R V love this combo for here in Alaska but I do also have the Sony 200-600mm and the other lens that you didnt have on here but I love it is the Viltrox 16mm 1.8 love this lens for taking pics of the northern lights here in Alaska
The viltrox came out after this video was released)
For you whichbus better? Sony 50mm 1.2 or the 1.4?
I’d go for the 1.4, because of the size and weigh
Viltrox 85 is better than sony 85 1.8 ?
More or less on par
Sony 14mm, really sharp, Tamron 17-28 really sharp, Tamron 35-150 very good allround lens, bit soft at 35mm vide open and 150mm vide open, sigma 85mm f1.4 👌 Tamron 150-500 is better than Sigma 150-600 IMO
how about the samyang 35mm f1.4?
Not a fan
2 points, you left out the sigma 28-70 f2.8. It’s way more compact than the sigma art 24-70 with little compromises in the image quality and imo it’s better than the Tamron 28-75.
You also left out the new Sony 70-200 f4. It’s pretty expensive for an f4 but very compact and versatile. I was considering getting the Sony 90mm for macro and Tamron 70-180 f2.8 for telephoto, now I can just get the 70-200 with a teleconverter and essentially have a macro, telephoto and ultra telephoto lens all in one.
So I can have a 3 lens kit this way, that it’s not extremely heavy and covers all the bases well enough for my needs: Sony 20mm for Astro and wide angle, sigma 28-70 f2.8 for all around zoom and Sony 70-200 f4 for macro and telephoto.
Great combo as well) I just can’t fit all the lenses in one video))
@@NOlimitsON yeah it’s perfectly understandable, they were on my radar for my kit that the only reason why I caught them missing
Sigma 28-70 is lot softer than Tamron 28-75. 🤔 And Sigma's color fringing is really bad.
@@henakos not in my experience
@@binarytrash I am tested both head to head and I can say that my Tamron is lot sharper than my Sigma.
You are making extensive use of the photos of Mr Frost. I hope you have his permission.
As I said in the video - he’s one of my favorite UA-camrs and I admire his work. I did say about it and posted a link to his channel as well😉
Thanks!
