In part two of this road trip, I ride south from Caceres in mid Spain and grab the ferry from Tarifa on Spain's southern tip, into Tangier, Morocco.

Without doubt Freddie you produce the best biking/travel vids out there, really enjoying this series - enjoy the journey, safe travel.
That’s incredibly kind of you to say so. Thank you so much🙂
@@FreddieDobbs I’m stoked I found your channel- instantly subbed after I started watching this series. I’m a huge fan of motorcycle travel vlogs (your reviews are great too) and I seriously think you were made for this sort of thing. You don’t have the $25,000 gs but you don’t need it because it’s clear you’re in it for the love of the ride, comfort be damned. I’m seriously impressed by your vulnerability on camera and sense of humor. Keep it up.
No he doesn't he just copies itchy boots ,he needs to stop complaining about 1st world freddie problems ,your in africia aleast you got to eat
I agree
@@tamarastvhaack4713 he is doing a great adventure .. with no Truck full
Of Spares & Back up following
Behind , like the Other Two
No Names !
The earplugs scene was top comedy! 👏🤣Freddie’s superpower? Innocence. 🙏🏼💚
This is proper Freddie, it really is! No brand new bike, no tonnes of kit you'll never use just a genuine taste for adventure. It's like tightrope walking with no training and no safety net😂. You're fearless and treat adversity and situations that make you feel like a plank with great patience and good nature. Real biker, real adventurer. Stay safe Freddie
Freddie, I have to say this, you've earned yourself a fan and have quickly become my favourite content creator. Your storytelling, with the pleasant visuals, top choice of music and your upbeat, charming personality. Your channel is one of the most underrated and best motorcycle UA-cam channels, bar none. Consistently putting out top content. Needless to say, I always look forward to your videos after a long day of studying. Keep it up, and cheers!
I agree, I stumbled across his videos about a year ago, and I now watch them about as religiously as my mum used to watch the soaps (Eastenders, Emerdale, CS, etc 😅). Although I'm usually about 7 days behind (only God knows why 😂).
In case you didn't already know, as I only found out fairly recently. He has another channel called Tuesday at Dobbs'. It's more of a talking head/podcast style. It's on YT also but used to be on Spotify under the name Freedom Machines. He had to change the name on YT due to copyright. Apparently, someone else already uses a similar name.
This got a bit long winded, but I thought I would give you the heads up none the less 😊.
It’s uncanny how we long distance bikers are the same. The “where’s my earplugs” dance is done by us all. One of the things, being a lazy UA-camr, I admire the most of professional UA-camrs is the effort made in filming, script and editing - especially setting up the camera at side of road to get the riding away shot, then have to go back and get all the kit.
I don’t make a living from my amateur hash videos, fortunately, as I made enough money from what I actually do do well, but I admire Freddie and Itchy Boots et al, and their superb film making skill. Those who watch their content probably don’t appreciate how hard it is to ride, plan, organise and deal with border hassle and at same time produce amazing content -- all good stuff Freddie. Enjoying Morocco where I will be in November on my Tuareg
Excellent stuff Freddie. You are certainly a breath of class amongst most of the motorcycle vloggers. Your video skills improved greatly and keep the comedy coming, the ear plug fiasco was hilarious.
I’m delighted you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words🙂
@@FreddieDobbs I sometimes walk around searching for my glasses....only to glance in a mirror to see them perched atop my head.
I knew they would be in his ears as soon as he started looking. 😂
I enjoyed the video with the relaxing music.
Fantastic video as always!
Has anyone ever mentioned that you are Charlie Boormans voice double?
Thanks Freddie, stay safe over there.
Can I have a 10ner too?
Thanks Steve🙂
I went to Tenerife because of your videos and rented the Moto Guzzi v7. Riding around Teide was special.
Amazing! So glad you enjoyed it🙂 Tenerife’s still my favourite place in the world and the best place for biking in my eyes😍🏝️ Great choice on the Guzzi!
I did exactly the same. Rented the Black Moto Guzzi V7 850 from Adam at Easy Rider after watching Freddie's vid. My wife rented the Ducati Monster and we explored the island for four days. The power of UA-cam and vids....
“I hope I have everything I need and by that I mean I have nothing” 😂 best video yet, some pure gold comedy moments. What a trip so far!
I love your videos Freddie. You have such an elegant way of presenting everything, and you're always really careful and enthusiastic with the scenery. Such a treat that you give us these videos for free
Great trip Freddie! Thanks for taking us along!
Great report!
Fabulous to see people covering big mileages to far off places on bikes other than the obvious choices.
Excellent effort, well done.
Safe, happy travels 👍
Thank you sir🙂🤜🏼🤛🏼
I've always said that if you can ride it to the end of the road, then you can ride to the end of the world. It just takes a different time...
Brilliant. Its the same as eating an elephant. You have to do it a little bit at a time.
Looks beautiful and that old reliable thudding away under you. We love a bonnie
Absolutely brilliant, I love everything about all the videos, to many bike trips have nothing about where they stay or anything about meals etc . First class such a lot of effort put into making these videos.
Well done. Your putting on your very sweaty gear and then not finding your earplugs. . .High comedy and we’ve all been there.
I truly admire the way you put up with the heat, the flies, the squalor & a smelly left hand to bring us these fascinating vlogs, offset by some (mostly) fine accommodation & superb views. Excellent.
Brilliant video , lovely edit, production and music even apart from the amazing subject matter. Thank you, the view from The hilltop of North Africa is awesome. Nice one.
Stunning attention to filming - great trip - only issue I have is that I feel I can tick these places off as 'visited' as your coverage is so real.
You really have to applaud Freddie for setting up the camera shots, I know how long time that takes (in editing as well)! I've been here since you had around 12k subscribers, when you tested out the R Nine-T - Freddie your channel is an inspiration💪
The continent of Africa. Insanely exotic and distant...and just next door. I am so going to follow in yours and itchy boots’ tyre tracks. Atlas Mountains are stunning.
Just love your English. So well-spoken. Very refreshing, Freddie😁 Great journey!
Freddie you've inspired me to buy a motorbike! I'm 62 and rode for most of my life but haven't owned a motorbike for a while.
Your narration audio is superior excellent and makes your bike adventure a delight to follow. Thank you from Oslo.
Excellent choice of music.........enjoy the country!
That moment when taking off your jacket and the air on your back cutting through the sweat feels ICE cold BRRRRRR !
Freddie - I'm so full of admiration. What a fantastic journey, and your vlog really is second to none in terms of content and context. Loving how you overcome all the obstacles of travelling to unknown climes. The scenery is mesmerising and so cool to see it from the perspective of the Triumph. Bike looks in great knick! Thanks
Freddie, You are really good at this. Thank you the video.
That's embarrassing....they were in my ear already Classic bike and bloke. Great series Freddie
Fantastic Freddie I love your style music wonderfull your voice fantastic video ride safe
Grimaldi car carrier at 09:50. Just make out the white and yellow… can’t get away from the bloody things! Lol. Great content Freddie!
Great stuff Freddie. No way could I bear that heat! I felt your pain putting that jacket back on. Ride safe. 👍
Those who don’t ride have no idea what motorcycling is like in a hot climate, testing to say the least! 👏👍😀
I found getting a beer in Morocco to be a bit of a ball-ache. Not impossible, but not easy.
Apart from lincesed bars/restaurants (usually in Hotels or nightclubs) it sure will be a struggle to find one as its forbidden to drink alcohol publicly, hope you still had a great sober time tho 😂
Nice to see your sense of photography improving!
Freddie try and take Chefchaouen on your route back up through Morocco… Hotel Atlas is a good stay.
And steer clear of Ketema!!!
Enjoy the trip!!!👌 The vlogs are brilliant.
This is getting me hyped up for my first overseas trip this summer!
Wow, fantastic. I am beginning to think I'd love to do this route. Ear plugs, I was literally sat here saying they're probably in your ears! lol
Stylish and entertaining as always, Mr. Freddie. Love the choice of music, the scenery, the gear, and of course the Bonnie. Yes, I was in Andalucia last year and was amazed how close Africa is.
Lovely images. Crazy leaving Europe tho.
Beautiful video Freddie, inspirational.
Hi Freddie....great series....when I was in morroco I found that everyone I talked to was a chef at my hotel (wherever I was ) wanted to direct me where I was already going and knew as I had a map and always stuck out their hand for a "coffee" . that said it was wonderful to be in the sun and ineresting culture change
Welcome to Morocco my friend
I am so glad that you made the trip
Enjoy your time here in Morocco .
McDonalds food is like eating cardboard that’s been left in the street on a dusty dirty, dusty rd, and then torrential rained on and warmed up in the microwave 🤢
I admire you Freddy for your willingness to do stuff that many wouldn’t do. It’s inspiring 👏🏻
Can't agree with you more about McDonald's , Dick Turpin wore a Mask.
Surprising seeing a pilot launch. Obviously new captain or PEC renewal
Fantastic video again Freddie. Love the little stories that break them up.
For your long drop, dead easy. Squat, do your business. Wet your ‘LEFT’ hand with water from the tap and wash your a**e with it.
Fill the bucket with water and use that to wash down what you have done - be careful of the splash back. Wash your hands again and leave.
Maybe keep some hand sanitiser with you on the trip as well.
Hi Freddy. Well done on getting to Africa, it is a nice thing to do on a bike, especially a British bike. Me and my brother rid to Morocco a few years ago, was an epic journey from London to Tauten. I rid my tiger955i and my brother rid his 1995 speed triple. . Love your channel Gordon and glen
Just started watching. I enjoy ur minimalist and unpretentious videos. Crisp. Clean. Raw. Nice! Keep them simple. Will subscribe.
Wow, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this, beautiful photography and stunning scenery and atmosphere. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure Freddie
Fantastic videos Freddie! Looking forward to more! Hope you have a great journey in Morocco
The bonneville sure has taken you on some adventures. Amazing what you can do with a relatively inexpensive mode of transport. That’s why I love bikes.
@freddiedobbs I am glued to this series you’re producing! You are so watchable and what you’re doing is a great inspiration! I am 36 this year and as a kid remember watching Long Way Round and Long Way Down and I’m still day dreaming, you’re actually getting out there and doing it, hats off to you and we the viewers are the richer for it!
The last apartment is beautiful
Amazing video! Welcome to Africa.
Really enjoying this trip. Rabat is a fantastic city. Travel vlogs are what you do best, too many others do bike and gear reviews. This is your niche. I love how you’re not doing this trip on a £20k adventure bike! Thanks for sharing - I need the escapism.
Alhamdulillah, finally arrived!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this and glad to have stumbled across your channel, superb.
Itchy Dobbs, brilliant stuff Freddie and excellent content 👍
"In my ears already" - Classic ... as is the 8m.07s sound track which is definitely not a copy of the Cult ...
Video is really helpful as I plan to do this route next year.
that's what I heard too. She Sells Sanctuary
Quality production.
Great to see you doing it all on the Bonneville.
Long drop toilet...shock! Made me laugh. That was the norm south of Calais for public toilets 40 yr ago. Only rule is don't fall backwards.😀
Nice relaxed video, some of the music was, well, FF inducing.
What an adventure, pleased to see the bonnie do well, no need for a GS .. looking forward to the next vid .. ride safe 👊
thank you for your adventures.
Beautiful, stay safe
The log book made me laugh, 4 of us went to Morocco some years ago. one of my mates who had come up from Cornwall was sitting on the sofa with the rest of us and we were on about the paperwork and he had not brought his log book. I took the number plate off my bmw 1100 gs and put it on his 1200 gs which was 10 year newer as it was all we could do. and it worked we got into morocco.Enjoy your trip we did.
love the soundtrack
As someone who is planning on buying his first bike later this year (a Zontes GK 350), these videos are really inspiring me to one day take on an adventure such as this! Awesome content Freddie! Can't wait to see the next update! Safe travels and greetings from Portugal :)
Fantastic video again Freddie.
The salsa bun not matching the pictures at the McDonalds could have been your Michael Douglas in Falling Down moment.
When I traveled through Spain in the 90’s, the long drop is all they had at the motorway services
I can't believe the proximity of Africa to Spain - it looks as close as the Isle of Wight is to Southsea! It's too late now, but for any future hot weather trips I'd recommend a modular helmet (Shark Evo or similar), a mesh jacket and also consider a hydro backpack. Hope you've got plenty of factor 50! 🌞
100%. In the Algarve we use Segura mesh jackets
You gonna love the landscape in Morocco 🇲🇦
I just stumbled upon this guy..he's brilliant.he makes the viewer feel like a friend rather than giving a performance. subscribed.!
You are absolutely smashing it! From Indonesia, Tuesday with Dobb’s and now the Morocco road trip, just loving the content!
Thank you Freddie , True biker and traveller spirit ...your composition and editing pace is fab .. could really feel the places you stopped at , each frame held long enough to enjoy the views, colours, textures , characters , temperature and rhythm of each scene...
being from india with remote regions and hot weather, i've found it most comfortable to use light sleeveless jackets with back protection pocket sewn on , using separate easy to slip on and off elbow/ arm , knee and chest protection .. also football shin guards ...can use or detach each as you wish depending on the road/terrain,traffic n temperature.. much much lighter n cooler making the ride more enjoyable ...freedommmm .. Looking forward to all your journeys .. Ramble on...
I went in the opposite direction almost 10 years ago when I was in university, though I didn't take a motorcycle. Started in Marrakech, made my way up to Tangier and took a ferry across to Tarifa. Absolutely incredible trip. I may need to revisit, this time with a bike though.
You inspired me to sell my big heavy touring bike and buy a naked modern retro! I feel much more safe to travel now
1) I hope the viewers appreciate all the work that it takes to create a simple shot of you riding towards and away from the camera. You have to set up the camera on its tripod, get back on your bike and ride through the scene, return to the camera and dismantle it, and resume your ride. Shots like that just don't happen on their own. 2) Your ability to laugh at yourself, i.e. "where are my earbuds?" while they are planted in your ears, is one of many redeeming qualities of yours. :) 3) You know this already so I am not revealing anything new: a light or white colored helmet is significantly less hot in its interior than a dark or black colored one. Ditto for moto jackets. Let function trump appearance in future rides, my friend. 4) Regards to your better half, my friend.
Halo kawanku...saya kembali lagi menikmati video anda🙏 sukses selalu kawan👍👍
Superb insight there Freddie, I’m off to Morocco first time next year so,this has helped me to prepare myself also thanks
Great stuff Freddie.
ahhh, I'm 20 again - in the Kombi with 4 mates and my surfboard is on the roof, and we've just ferried Tarifa to Algeciras (i this that's right..) Thanks for taking me back Freddie, looks remarkable similar Your unaffected style and approach will keep me along for teh rides mate. BTW I ride a '67 Daytona
Wow, wow!
Great video Freddie, interesting content and the occasional chats. However would be greatly improved by ‘on bike’ commentary
I can't imagine scouting filming locations, stopping, setting up a camera, filming a pass or two, just to pick up everything and do it again and again and again.
and doing it on a 500km ride.
Another great video Freddie!
It’s astonishing how you make everything look so smooth: issues, weather, organization, finding beautiful spots and all of that while taking the time to film. I started asking myself if you had super powers of some sort. I guess there’s a lot of hard work and preparation “behind the scenes” instead, not to count post production of course. One more subscriber, thanks!
I like your video editing stile! Keep going! Greetings from Italy!👋
great video Freddie - fell like we are there with you
Inspiring Freddie ! I've done Europe a couple of times but you may just have pushed my imagination to the next level
Another great video!
Dear Freddie I just discover you and I have to say thank you sooooo much for taking the extra effort to document your trip in such a beautiful way! I feel like traveling with you and been there on the open roads and beautiful adventure! Have lots of fun in your trip! I'm looking forward to your next video!
Excellent content, thanks!
You my friend, are a male version of Judith Charmers.. I hope you take this as, the huge compliment, it is intended to be! Obviously, with the awesome triumph! Stay safe mate. Looking forward to the next one.👍🏻
Great video and edition is top notch
Marhba bik !
Welcome to Africa (specially to the Maghreb), Freddie! Should've brought Monika with you 🙂
Cheers from Algiers.
Freddie! luv it been watching from the start your channels getting better and better . so glad you sorted the bike out and kept it! and the 500 lol must admit i would luv a Ducati Diavel
The amount of work you put into this is amazing, Freddie. Here's for 100k subs already!
One of many insight I got from many motorcycle adventurer UA-camrs when riding the Africa are always bring alway cash money and jerrycan for spare fuel because the fuel scarce even in the capitol, but I don't know about Morocco, not yet watching the Itchy Boots adventure there.
And they usually ride an adventure bike with agresive looking tire for off-road, hopefully your Bonneville didn't get any trouble and run smoothly when riding in the Africa.
What a great little film - thank you for taking us along . I hope the next stage goes equally well!
Really enjoyed this episode as well. Thanks for sharing costs and places to stay. Very handy !! Safe trip onward Freddie
Well if it isn’t my favourite motorcycle content creator ❤
Thank you Sir🤜🏼🤛🏼
