Fantastic! I've never heard about that place before. I'm Brazilian, and I've been to a few favelas through my life, and it seems like the Gamcheon Village is just a ludic version of an actual favela.
Yeah, I have been to Colombian "Comunas", Brazilian Favelas and South Africa's slums, this one was basically revamped and saved by the government. It was pretty fantastic to watch!
This doesn't look like a favela like the ones we have in Brazil. The good new painting, the way streets or alleys are urbanised and clean, not filled with rubbish, the presence of roofs (some even with solar energy!), good roads and many artsy points that could very well be touristic atractions, and the absence of massive visual pollution makes it a "gourmet" favela. Not a real one, ate least not by Brazilian standards. Besides that, there aren't hundred of dogs on the streets and neither lots of people in a vibrant intense favela-like life; the streets and alleys and stairs were empty...
Yeah it is very different than the ones in Brazil and Colombia. According to what they said it was like this before the government came in and changed it. There was a good amount of people, but in Korea it's illegal to record them so I tried to keep them off camera

How long did the whole thing take?
I spent like 6 hours walking around!
Niceeee do you think that writing will be there 10 years from now??!
I was thinking of that! One thing is for sure I will go check it out next time I'll go
I think you're almost exhausted to get all the stamps. ^^;;
It was a very long day! Yes, but after I began I simply had to! haha
Ta faltando operação do bope 😞
They are still much better than the favelas here in brazil
Yeah I was very shocked how well these house look. At least from the outside and the street were in very good shape!
So there's poverty in South korea.
There is. A different level than what we see in South America or south east asia. But there is
