Thanks for the kind words everyone! This concert was truly a blast, and I was finally able to hunt down a copy.
Christopher Tin I was wondering why it wasn't uploaded sooner! Keep up the good work!
I wasn't really into Orchestra until hearing your amazing music in Civ, What a blessing
Love this twist on the Lord's Prayer. Suck a man of vision!
Love your work !!
I'm so glad you were finally able to get this out on your channel Chris your live shows on youtube needed the update so badly haha
I can't believe, at 80 years, that I've just discovered Christopher Tin. What a gift to all of us. His music encompasses the earth. Bravo Maestro!
Better late than ever! Nice to meet you and thanks for the kind words. :)
It's never too late, much love Dana
Me too, just that I am half your age 😃
Same here! His music truly feeds my soul.
I only found Christopher today because of a tiktok duet by davidjones. So glad to I did. Love his music
"How many languages can we fit into 1 concerto?"
Christopher Tin: *yes*
Quite proper for him to do so, after all, Baba Yetu and Sogno di Volare were for Civilisation.
@@theduke9510 wasn't mado kara mieru as well?
@@ThePandaAgenda no it's an original
50 minutes of songs written in 12 different languages, none of which I understand and love every minute of it. How I love the diversity of mankind ...
love this should be top comment lol
@@bluregard3442 as long as a diverse group of individuals retains each culture and does not assimilate I think its beautiful
Blu Regard nothing is wrong with race mixing, it’s a natural part of the evolutionary process. It’s not like people are pushing for these races to mix anyway, your just straw manning the side you don’t agree with.
@@bluregard3442 Wow that is so hateful. Culture and art has been evolving since mankind was around. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for "race mixing". We are all humans and when we love each other it is beautiful.
@@bluregard3442 I am happy the last european leader who praised race purity died cowardly with a shot in his own head. Diversity is what moves mankind forward not the opposite.
It's 2023. I have heard this for the first time today and the pure joy that this music brings to me has me in tears. Music that brings tears of joy is not something that I have experienced for 30+ years. To the orchestra, thank you. To the vocalists, thank you. To the choirs, thank you everyone. Christopher Tin, thank you! In your music there is hope and love and joy and the diversity that is so beautiful in the world. ❤️

Exactly 💯
Me today
I love it to see when a conductor cant hold himself back and goes completely crazy at a live performance.
Haha, thanks!
am I dreaming???? uploaded full concert and we dont have to pay a penny??
So please wake me up when I get there
It feels like I'm lost in a dream
This feels like Christmas.
@@Darkknight2001 what?
Dimitriy Dzyuba: I was saying that, to discover a free concert with the entire album of Calling All Dawns *for free*... it feels like a Christmas present. I am sorry my comment wasn’t clear.
@@Darkknight2001 OK thx for clearing that up ;)
Baba yetu is the Lord's prayer from the Bible, of which any language can be used but they choose Swahili. This means so much to us swahili speakers. We are so grateful.
My daughter was in this performance with one of the youth choirs, and I am very grateful that it has been uploaded here. Being able to be part of this concert was one of the highlights of her young life thus far, and certainly one of the highlights of my life as well as her dad, to watch her and be proud. Thank you very much to Christopher Tin for producing such an uplifting musical piece, and for working with her and all the other singers from around the world to contribute to such a celebration of world peace!
Wonderful!
I was fortunate enough to be selected to be in the All-State choir when I was in high school. No other choir experience I had could ever compare with having an orchestra playing along with us. The originality and beauty of Christopher Tin's music will never be forgotten.
True peace will come through Jesus Christ. The words of this song give good tribute to this as the Lord's Prayer 🙏
Thank you very mucho to Christopher Tin , for beautifull Melody.
I am captivated, first discovering Christopher Tin through Waloyo Yomani. I must have watched it at least six times today before moving on to see what else Christopher Tin has done. I have not been disappointed.
I think Christopher Tin, along with Hans Zimmer and John Williams, is the true composer of this era.
Because he is like Beethoven, who encompasses all races and captures all the joys and sorrows in music.
Also, the beauty and value of his music are indisputable.
And I love you Christopher Tin!!
I think you forget John Powell. Tin is not known as much. He deserves more.
@@quickwimnl Ohh yes John Powell. He's great too!

I was there at the concert; it was pure magic. I was buzzing and humming the tunes a few days after, massive earworm of Hamsáfár (my favourite track). Got to meet Mr Tin after the concert (again), a genuine nice bloke and he remember me from the last visit, a year past in York and chit-chats on Twitter.
i cant stop listening to Hamsafar ,it's incredible! shivers, goosebumps and skin orgasm all the time. Hamsafar starts the best part of the album. Kia hore te marino is also true epicness!
I'd be star struck if I met Mr Tin in person.
Hamsafar was amazing ,farsi is my native language 👏👏👏

It's been more than 10 years since Baba Yetu.... i remember i was a kid and loved it because it moved my soul. Now it still does. Too powerful.
And it still makes me cry.
Mr.Tin.
Humanity is richer for your music exists .
I strive to be a better human everyday, and your music captures the essence of every human soul which strives endlessly to reach beyond its material bonds into the ethereal realm of abundance and limitlessness.
Thank you sir.
Thank you... that's overwhelmingly kind of you!
hear hear!
Here’s your 300th like!
What a beautiful and true comment
What I love about Christopher is that you don't need a higher education to understand his music. It is somehow comprehensible to anyone. It is for a reason that people compliment it as anthems to humanity. Not because it is sung in different languages - but because you can understand it regardless of the language you speak.
Good music tends to be cross cultural like that. There is this wonderful video of 10,000 Japanese people singing Beethoven's "Ode to Joy". The good stuff never takes a degree to appreciate. It may take a degree to understand it, but you never need a degree to enjoy it.
Very true!
You're so right. What the mind can't understand the soul still does and resonates with great joy and love. The universal languages💖
I’m 15. I’m probably not the target demographic of this music, but goddamn do I love it anyway. These are some of the greatest pieces of music I’ve ever heard, and if the entire planet ever unites, Christopher Tin should be writing the international anthem.
My 13 year old played “Baba Yetu” on her flute and piccolo, with her Middle School band and choir. It LITERALLY changed her life. She listens to it multiple times everyday and tries to get everyone (anyone who will listen) to listen and appreciate this beautiful song. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Christopher Tin! You are helping encourage my sweet girl to share her gift of music with the world! 💜
Aww, how sweet! Please give her my best wishes and I hope she continues with music.
Finest composer working today. Worthy successor to Handel, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Holst, Copeland, and Williams. Keep doing good work, and may the Lord bless and keep you.
Can't believe I just discovered this today.... much Love from Nigeria
2:39 That face describes how Baba Yetu can make anybody feel. Poweful
I was really getting into it at that moment. :)
I can't even believe how beautiful it is.
The chorus, violinists, percussionists, everyone working together to create the sounds of harmony, its magic, thanks Mr.Tin
I'm moved to my core. I feel like I just experienced something you only feel a few times in a generation. This is peak talent, power, heart, and soul. Bravo, all of you, especially Mr Tin.
It was the joy of my life to sing with all these wonderful choirs, this astounding orchestra and this master conductor. I hope someday I'll be able to do it again, but until then, I'm so looking forward to everything Tin does.
Holy cow. Literally. The man who sang in Sanskrit was INCREDIBLE. What a range!! It's criminal how more people aren't talking about it in the comments!
Yes! Shanul Sharma, amazing Australian opera singer.
Thank you HelMaschine and Christopher Tin!!
Warm wishes from Australia xx
@@ShanulSharma The combination of the outfit and that closing reaction really do nail that interpretation of a Brahmin who is above those around him, which is always somewhat the feel I have gotten from the solo. Incredibly well done. As a tenor who has done my share of performing as an alto, I know very well just how extraordinary that sort of power within those falsetto notes is. The added line at the end also did seem to compliment and bring out the choir, which often gets lost underneath the orchestra while trying to get through all those syllables and not slow down.
@@jacklogansmith7646 Thank you for your kind words for what was a truly memorable evening! I also love your analysis of the Brahmin - a way of life which lets one rise above 'Maya' to experience the 'Oneness' present in all of us. And you have to thank @Christopher Tin for the solo - he whipped it up in a matter of minutes during our first rehearsal in Cardiff!!
If there is anything I would have at the top of my bucket list is to see something like this in person.
Better yet to be part of it! :)
If a person does not believe music can bring together the world, simply show them this magnificent performance. It is a global treasure! So many deep thanks to Christopher Tin for his transformative works.
Came for Baba, stayed for the concert
I'm from Brazil. My accent is very different from Portuguese from Portugal, but I love fado. It's nice to hear my language. Such passion. Such peace. Such surrender in the singer's voice.
That's Nathalie... she's amazing!
The anthem of human race.
The replay button is now broken. This is other worldly writing and performance.
It had never happened to me until today: at 57, this music has made me cry with pure emotion. They are themes that raise the soul upon hearing them. Christopher Tin is a huge composer. I hope and wish for many years to compose such incredible themes as these. I don't know how I will do it, but I have to move from Spain sometime to see a live concert, since it has to be an unforgettable experience. Congratulations on your amazing music.
I didn't know that Christopher Tin had written a piece inspired by fado. So inspiring! Thank you so much from Portugal 🇵🇹
Now, please anybody could explain me how are ever possible those revolting things called hate or racism?
Or better, do not try to.
Seeing those colorful people-of all ages, young and elder, fully engaged, faces painted with emotions-beautifully dressed, synchronised close together, singing and playing, and conducting, I can only see utter beauty in them. And something deep inside me wanting to join this musical communion...
Thank you Mr. Tin for this unique and deep experience. As well as for the little oboe part that comes back in different pieces, only ten notes or so yet unforgettable, calling and recalling to hope for a better world.
Well said, Tomasz. Music is a reminder to us all that there really is something higher out there. We don't know any of the details, but that there is definitely something more. Because it is simply too perfect to be something that came together by chance.
There is always something to fight over. Or for that matter, humans will just fight if they are bored.
It takes a lot of effort to remind humanity, even for a moment that they are children of the same Creator and they have better things to do than hurt each other, steal from each other, and try to force others to do their will.
We need to listen more to music and no at all to the ones that profit from renovating darkness through fake attempts to solve our struggles through power, money, ideas and systems.
I can't believe that I have only just discovered this man's music. I absolutely adore the international/African sounds he brings to his music. I absolutely adore this work
It's 2021, I've listened to the whole concert dozens of times and I still can't believe I managed to exist at the same time as this masterpiece.
In all my life I have never cried as many times as I have listening to this album. No words but one. Beautiful.
This is awesome! I can't wait for "To Shiver the Sky"! I just never can make it through Baba Yetu without crying at the sheer beauty.
Something Totally out of this WORLD. You make me calerbrate in a higher frequency. I'm in tears!Lovely!!
12 written songs in different languages, to purpose to fight each other in CIV
I would gladly pay any amount just to see this live in my country.
What a gift !! I often listen to your music when I’m writing my novel. Music has the power to unite the entire human family! Thank you Mr. Tin for sharing your incredible gifts…
That intense passion followed by that smile at 48:26 is so moving. Thank you, Christopher Tin. I feel so blessed to be living in the same generation as you. You and your works are treasures of mankind.
Thank you!
I must face East when I listen to this. I bow down and celebrate Mother Earth with tears and happiness.
2:35... When the feeling overflows and shines through.. We share it with you, Christopher.. Thank you for such a beautiful work, which touches the soul
Music is an amazing thing. Yesterday I was taking a walk not far from my house. Not knowing where I was going, I reached a small field full of oats and olive trees that I've never been to before. Christopher Tin's song baba yetu was playing in my ears as I looked at the clear blue sky, then down at the the field where the oat stems were dancing in the wind, and suddenly I became very aware of the miracle that is life. I am not a spiritual person but I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature from which we came and the beauty of the sounds that we created, that I started crying tears of joy. That is the gift that mr. Tin gave me with his music: a reminder of the glory of existence.
It's a slow motion miracle, so slow that we need to slow down to see it.
@@MiguelTavaresMAT Well said, and worth slowing down to think about.
I'm putting it on my bucket list to go to one of Christipher Tin's concerts. I would absolutely love to see any of his albums live, but especially To Shiver The Sky

Christopher Tin! One of the best 🎵
Your music is amazing! Following your work for 10 years allredy, best composer of our generation!
This is what world harmony is. Different songs from different cultures sung by different people. Amazing
I don’t think it would have sound so inviting in another language , this was the perfect fit for that song.
The way this touches me... it as though it were an ode to the human spirit; from the most rudimentary forms of spirituality worshiping the sun at dawn, to different forms of spirituality presented in different languages by different backgrounds... man, it's like we are a the exact same at last, even if it's just for a moment. Thank you so much for creating this. The world needs it. I need it.
The lady at 47:41 always makes me smile. She has such a joyful face during that singing :)

I dont how I stumbled on this video, but it was so beautiful, so pure and divine. I simply had goosebumps for the entire video.
Saw a preformance of Calling all Dawns at the North-West University in South Africa today. The preformance was phenomenally beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking & I got hair-raising goosebumps several times. I wish there had been a recording so I could show my parents, but seeing it live really is different. Hope to at least buy my mother a CD somewhere. Thank you for composing such a masterpiece - each musician, choir member, singer, artist & the conductor was so passionate while preforming stunning music for an audience that gave a long standing ovation.
