I usually don't watch these kind of videos because I don't consider I am in the target audience. However, watching this I feel grateful that my career and income sources are relatively secured before even finishing college.
Edit after watching the whole video: I, being in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence research field, was pleasantly surprised at 17:07 when you mentioned it. Also, every single time I have heard videos like this no one mentioned the "good 9 to 5 jobs" or anything other than entrepreneurship and I didn't like that. You are the first one who says the things that I have been thinking about this topic and how some people may prefer different paths.

When I think about that, then holy shit:
I plan on studying medicine as a plan A1 to become a doctor, which in itself gives a lot of money in Poland, but if I open my own medical practice (even out of the city), then I only need 5 patients per normal working day and charge them like 100 PLN and I already earn 10k/month. Fine, those are PLNs, not dollars or pounds, I can always increase the amount of patients to something like 10 or charge 200 PLN in slightly more populous area (most of the competition charges even more) and boom, 40k. Not to mention if I don't plan on living somewhere else, then 40k is almost disgustingly lot (at least in my brain).
Then my dream profession (plan A2) would be in fact to take care of a shooting range or a gun store. Considering Poland's rather relaxed firearms laws and shitshow east of us it could be some interesting stuff to try, because come on, even now I have enough saved money to build a shooting range on my own (the problem would be to buy a plot of land to start building, that's where plan A1 comes in) and rent the place to sportshooters or hunters. Then investing in something else than everyone else (instead of beating the same script of buying Glocks, Uzis and .22 rimfires I'd focus equipping the range with Eastern stuff like AKs, Mosins, Makarovs and other) could attract certain customers away from competition.
In case of a gun store it's a different animal, I could offer some stuff the majority wants and some stuff the minority wants.
For now I have to go with plan A1 as I have to be 21 in order to have anything with guns (visit the range as an 18 year old fine, but gun permits, instructor licenses and other similar start from 21).

I gotta say, 20+ years ago it was very favourable to simply take a 9-5, and save up for a house, because house prices were only 3-4 times the average annual salary. That was a realistic goal. Now, house prices are more like 10 times the average annual salary. Which is mental. The system is designed to make everyone dependent on the government as much as possible. It's very very hard to have genuine independence these days, sadly.

    • @chaiherobay9932
      @chaiherobay9932 Рік тому +12

Need better solutions IMO. Yeah starting a business and grinding may be the only realistic option for most. A stop-gap while dealing with tyranny. I am hoping that people will not forget that this situation is unjust while they are busy out there trying to get what they need. Just wish that we had something better than a stop-gap and it would be ideal for people to consider this while improving themselves. We are encouraged to be islands, but that is not what we are.

I had an assembly in school yesterday (I'm a year 11) and we were told, face to face, that our generation will have to work until we're 70. He told us to take a pension as soon as possible.
It really hit home to me, and I don't think the drones in my year truly understood. A month ago, I started a copywriting business, but I'm struggling to find clients yet I know that if I keep at it I will eventually find some. Keep in mind I'm only 15 years old, and my mother doesn't work and is on benefits, my stepdad has bipolar and can't work, my real dad is in prison. Also, my siblings are being dragged into the modern extremist-feminine society and they aren't willing to look from my perspective, and my older brother is extremely pessimistic and is horrible to me and he doesn't believe in me at all, it's almost if he wants me to fail. If you think this is normal, you are fucked and need to change. I am 15 and have started a business when there are 35 year olds struggling to take their family on an annual holiday. It needs to change, Hamza, Iman, Sneako, and Andrew Tate are the catalysts to success

19:48 in my opinion you are disciplined enough, more than most. But you are also smart with your discipline. Instead of wasting your energy on something that can give you a low rate of return like most jobs, you instead took that energy on something that would increase your rate of return and give you a better lifestyle. You’ve especially worked hard at the beginning of your journey. So now that you worked hard, you don’t need to work as hard as often, so your hard work paid off.
Your forgetting Hamza, that most people in the work place are not productive at all. The place I work, sometimes people take breaks to play computer games when our boss isn’t watching. Out of the 8 hours they work, even if they are working overtime they usually produce maybe about 2 to 3 hours of work on average.
And yes there are those in the workplace who do go above and beyond. But in my opinion that’s such a waste of discipline and potential. Why would they go far and beyond for a job that doesn’t make them happy (I’m not talking about those who genuinely like there job. They exist but also they are a very small minority if we are being honest), when they could use that same energy to do something you would at least enjoy a bit more and would bring you a greater return on investment for your time. And the worst part is, for people in this category, they are more disciplined than others in the work place but they end up being screwed over at the end because when they get out of work they have no energy to do anything else. It’s a very sad reality. And even then, some of their co workers who don’t work as hard, are the ones who get promotions or raises because they are cool with this person or they know that person. I see it all the time. The bosses in my job don’t care how hard you work. They’ll maybe give you something meaningless, “oh look, employee of the week certificate, which has no impact on your earnings but at least you get this nice certificate that is useless and you and others forget about in a week.” It’s the people who form connections who move up even if the people who are forming these connections are not as hard working. So people who genuily work hard at work are doing themselves a disservice if they dislike what they are doing because unlike you, their work is paying off in the long run. They’ll still be struggling financially and broke, especially where the global economy is now headed. The future isn’t hopeful for the 9 to 5 worker. Here in the United States we don’t even have much bargaining power left to at least get better working conditions. That power is being stripped away and we are losing the little leverage we had. Our lives are dictated by those who control them at the top. That being said it’s not like slavery but it also isn’t as good as it probably should be. Also my job conditions are far from bad personally but I’m speaking in general for others who aren’t as lucky as I am to have landed a job like I have. And don’t get me started on the insane prices of things for the average person (for people like Hamza, the prices don’t make a difference). The prices of things are insane where I am at. This inflation is crazy. And not to mention how everything is taxed. We are literally bringing in less than half of our paycheck where we live and that money is often not put to good use. And yet people are still willing to be screwed over. It’s like people willingly pull down their pants and let the rich take whatever they want. But this is a whole other topic
And what you said about our parents, I resonated with. Their solution to make more money and get by in this economy is to work more overtime at jobs they are miserable in and hate. I don’t know how my parents have the will to do it. They work long overtime hours to have their next shift start 4 hours after they end their first one. It’s insane to me. They even show it physically with bags under they’re eyes. While I have a great respect for my parents and I’m thankful that they are willing to put up with that crap for me, I always think to myself, I wouldn’t be able to do that. I also can’t let they’re decades of hard work go to waste and be in vain. Imagine them doing all that hard work and sacrificing their happiness and time for me to be in the same position when I get to a certain point in my life. No, the cycle must end here, I must be better than that. I must take the opportunity they gave me to give my future family a better life. And that won’t be given through a typical 9 to 5 job. And if I’m not better, then I I didn’t deserve what they gave me because I wasted an opportunity and a sacrifice that was made. And I can’t be better if I listen to my parents advice and I follow the path the system has laid out for all of us. I literally had a conversation with my father the other day. He told me “save, if you save you’ll have this much in your bank account by the time your this age.” I knew he had good intentions and was just giving me advice that worked when he was younger or that he thinks would work but deep down I know that if I follow his advice and don’t find another way to make money quicker I would just repeats his cycle and end up in his position telling my future son, “save son.” But it won’t matter, because even if we save a certain amount by a certain age, we will have to spend it anyway because life happens. That time you spent saving would be in vain. You would realize it was a waste of time because no one truly owns money. It’s a revolving door. The whole point of money is to spend it back. That is why society has literally created processes that make so it’s impossible to keep your money. You will have to spend it no matter what. On the other hand if you set up a secure, quick, reliable and constant stream of passive income that you don’t have to constantly sell your soul to receive then you will be set for life and won’t need to worry about saving to make sure you can make that next payment. You also don’t need to worry about having to spend that money back out because you have more coming.
And for some people I know, they are so miserable it becomes their personality, and it seeps into every facet of their lives. Even in simple conversations you can tell they are miserable. These people are also very irritable and tend to talk about “that thing that happened at work that was kind of crappy.” Very sad.

I disagree with a few things about this video:
    1) According to the popular book, "Millionaire Next Door," the average millionaire who has a net worth of $1,000,000+ in the US is not a doctor, lawyer, entrepreneur, etc. but a teacher, firefighter, plumber, etc. They save up and invest all of their money but they also have an average house and they only buy used entry-level cars like Toyota and Honda.
    2) Nearly all entrepreneurs fail, 95% of businesses with 5 years.
    3) The average entrepreneur has to work their ass off to become successful, sacrificing their hobbies, social life, etc. 95%-99% of people can't handle working 12-16 hours a day with no days off in the initial phase of a business. Starting your own business is much harder than a normal 9-5 and it'll continue to be difficult if you want to scale the business. "Passive income" and hiring other people to do the grunt work takes time but even with that, entrepreneurs have to be on the clock 24/7. Hamza brings up Jeff Bezos but that guy is a machine. He works like a robot. Same for Elon Musk.
Knowing all this, if you want to still get into entrepreneurship. Do it. I am.
