    Morning, Matt -
I know your busy these days - just stopping by to tell you how much I appreciate your tutorials here.
I no longer have my shop or really any shop space, but I've been thinking of looking further into The Guild. Being able to network with other novice just-starting-out tool & knife sharpeners would be invaluable.
In the meantime, I'm just getting back to spending time with my TSPROF and re-learning the skills after a couple of years absence. I've set up "Shop" on my old desk as a work bench in my little hallway. I'll make it work for now.
    Thanks Matt, and take care...

Could you make a video on how you acquire customers? And maybe an explanation on how your drop box system works that would be great info too. I have been thinking of starting a chain grinding business but don't really know how to market or advertise at all.

Thanks for watching, all my marketing and business content is inside the Guild. I hope you consider becoming a member.
      Thanks for asking.

@@mattnejmanowski631 It was the first time I heard of a "sharpening guild", I thought that was kind of gay.

What happened to the Teachable course?

It wasn't my main focus and it wasn't covering the expense to host it so I stopped offering it. All the content that was in that course is available inside the Guild of Professional Sharpeners.

    Good day Matt.
Can a semi faulty Fuel Pump Driver Module cause rough idle and engine vibration with no codes?
It is a type of PWM electronic control and those go bad all the time on various electronics.
In theory if the signal between the PCM and the Driver is good there is not going to be any codes.
However this does not mean that the driver is outputting the correct wave form for the pump. All the driver does is adjust the duty cycle on the 12V+ rail. It's just a simple PWM circuit that responds to PCM output. However the output of the Driver is NOT monitored in any way by PCM. PCM just asks for order confirmation from the Driver however the Driver signal repeat back to the PCM does not equal it's actual output to the pump.
If there is not enough pressure than engine will vibrate without throwing codes as all cylinders are still firing albeit not at their full capacity. I hate Ford.

That chain hanging in on the wall behind the grinder is getting grinding grit blown right into it though? Doesnt make sense with the effort you put into cleaning the chain from the outset.
I never bothered cleaning the chain, right when the dried sap on the top plate starts changing color is when I know the cutter is sharp, after that you can clean the chain.
I also go a bit deeper angle so I get an almost chisel grind (for durability) and can get the gullet.
