These easy and quick Butterless Chocolate Chip Cookies are one of the best cookies I’ve ever made. It is the first time trying a butterless recipe for these classic cookies and I must say I was really impressed. They turned chocolaty, soft, with an amazing flavor, you won’t miss the butter.
I really loved that they are easy and quick to prepare, no need to wait for the butter to soften, or melt, no need to refrigerate the dough before baking. With this recipe you can enjoy some soft chocolate chip cookies in no minute. Hope you will try them out. Enjoy!

Makes about 25 cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups (280g)all-purpose flour
1 tsp (6g) baking soda
2 tsp (6g) cornstarch
1 tsp (5g) salt
3/4 cup (170g) vegetable or coconut oil
3/4 cup (135g) brown sugar
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp (10g) vanilla extract
1 cup (180g) semisweet chocolate chip (55-70% cocoa)
extra chocolate chips for topping, optional

I made the cookies but they turned out to be too oily. Once i touch them or even look at them , oil is highly visible. Should they be like this? How many ml of oil should i put please? Perhaps i put a lot since the recipe says in grams not ml. Thanks for your time.

I made this cookies today but I changed the measurements bc i read they were so sweety, and the result was delicious and really chewy! thanks for the recipe ❤️
here are the changes:
110gr brown sugar (instead of 135gr)
80gr common sugar (instead of 100gr)

Making these cookies I was thinking to myself, hmm I don't trust this recipe bc it looked wrong but continued to follow and to my amazement, these cookies turned out Perfect and very tastyyyy too. I liked adding the chocolate chips on top and I even added some walnuts along with them.

I love butter in almost everything, but did purchase coconut oil recently and don’t know what to do with it, so this looks like a good way to give it a try! Thanks.
RC Doodles if you cut off all those oil and just using raw and unfiltered coconut oil you made best decision in your life. The smoke point is 400F . Especially if you making pancake . Look up the benefit of coconut oil . In my culture we never used it but for over 11 years I am using it . It’s great for people with high cholesterol and great for overall health
Ahhh thank you soo much. Christmas is coming and I'm in a bit of a predicament. Also 100g of butter here is like 200 rsd (2 dollars). Considering our salaries ain't above 1000$ most of the time this is helpful.

Is there any substitute to brown sugar? I'm either always short of butter or brown sugar when I want to bake cookies.
try replacing it with white sugar that is mixed with 1 tablespoon or 15 grams of either maple syrup or molasses . If not , just use white sugar but you will not get the caramel like flavour associated with brown sugar /molasses.
my batter was a little on the thin side but it still turned out great
