I didn’t know this run was happening and saw the stream room completely full. I asked the person who was checking badges who was speedrunning next, and he replied “a dog.” I had to go in and see for myself, and even in the very back row it did not disappoint. PB is the best boy, and this is easily in my top runs I’ve seen live!
That energy from the crowd during the homer was exactly like inside a ballpark during a real game of baseball. A dog has garnered just as much interest in his performance in Ken Griffey Baseball as most MLB teams do lol. This was such a great run! That is easily my favorite moment in GDQ history, just a great moment all around!

Having a dog do this at all is difficult, and in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. And best of all, a Shiba Inu is just about the last breed anyone would recommend for such a thing. Truly beautiful. :)

I was helping with donation filtering the shift before when it came through and I literally shouted and cried with the other two processors who also happened to be Blaseball fans. Whoever first donated to get the name in is an absolute legend
I wasn't able to fully watch PB's run last night due to wearing noise-blockers once folks started using fireworks in the neighborhood, so I'm INCREDIBLY HAPPY that this was posted in full on youtube after the fact!!! Time to show this to my dog, Pippin, as an inspirational movie for him.
Best run of the whole marathon, without question. (Note: the marathon isn't even over at the time of me writing this, but that doesn't change anything)
Just something coincidental to note: Nintendo used to fully own the Seattle Mariners via majority stock. No, seriously. They even had a 3DS app that acted like a prototype version of the Ballpark app for the stadium. They've since scaled back their ownership and only own a bit of stock in the team so they're not majority owners anymore, but it does track with NoA's HQ being in Washington state (and only a 20 minute drive between them).
Their home ballpark also used to sell an exclusive Seattle Mariners-themed DS Lite which is worth just shy of $500 according to PriceCharting and nearly $1900 if it's still sealed.
Hands down the best run ever to grace this event. I was yelling at my screen the whole time. Truly this made me feel things I have never felt watching baseball before. He is such a good boy.
I never thought I'd see a doggo speedrun a game, let alone speedrun one of my favorite baseball games. This was wild. Peanut Butter is as talented as he is adorable.
This was absolutely amazing! I was so invested in this entire thing. I even joined in on the chanting from home! The cherry on top was the Walk-Off Nuke in extra innings with none other than Ken Griffey Jr!!!! Well done Peanut Butter!!!!
