As my first EVER CTWC that I have ever participated in, let alone travelled all the way from almost 9000 miles away, this was a weekend I will never ever forget. After 2021 CTWC, players train to get at least 2 maxouts to get into the gold brackets. The same continued for 22 and 23 championships. Then they thought it would still be the same for 2024, until the qualifying actually happened: The 48th seed ID_Kirby with 4 maxouts and a 917360 kicker. That means players had to train for at least 5 maxouts within 2 hours to get into gold brackets. It is fascinating to see the rise of skills and competitive standards of the overall professional Tetris field.

sometime they do it to see what piece they will get next or gauge the gap of their chase/lead so it's not all bad for them. Sometime they do it to psych themselves up and get some advantages as well. So I think if they know how to do it properly, it should be fine
Another point would be now all players had gone so strong in playing, they play like every round is the finals round. We also see more tappers picking up rolling, sometimes performing mid-game playstyle transition that in 2025 tappers could be out of top 16 or even out of the gold brackets. I look forward to the 2025 CTWC.
