ELVIS ! King of MUSIC !!
A Professor Of Music At Harvard University said that Elvis was such an Extremely Gifted Vocalist because he had Vocal Registers normally found only in Professionally, Voice Trained, Opera singers. He closed his article by saying that Elvis could hit Hi ''G '' Notes that would make a Baritone Opera Singer turn Green with Envy ! Consider the Following.: Elvis could and did Sing Bass, Baritone, 2nd Tenor and 1st Tenor. Also, Elvis successfully sang Rock N' Roll, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Broadway, Blues, And Rhythm and Blues. And Elvis is the only Performer in the History of Recorded Music that is a Member of FIVE Music Halls Of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll , R & B , Rockabilly , Country and Gospel! Elvis recorded 875 songs!
No One else In the History of Recording has ever come close to matching the Versatility, the Vocal Range, and the Number of records Sold over 2.5 Billion Worldwide ! And Elvis holds the record of having the Highest LP Album Sales Worldwide also! 206,800,000 Albums Sold Worldwide !!
Elvis gave 1,684 Concerts and over 6,000 Live Performances during his career as a Entertainer Super Star,a astonishing and amazing achievement not surpassed by anyone ! And over 2.5 Billion Records sold Worldwide ! The Highest Selling Single Artist in the History of Recorded Music ! AND the Only Entertainer in the World that is a member of 5 Music Halls of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll, Rockabilly , Country, R & B, and Gospel ! And 21 other Halls of Fame !

1.5 Billion saw him on that Satellite Concert when there were only 4.5 Billion people on Earth!! In other words 1 of every 3 people on the planet Earth saw Elvis. The Moon landing 4 year earlier was seen by 650 Million people which was 850 million less than Elvis than Elvis Satellite Concert.
By far the biggest star ever.

    • @eapdap

All correct, except in '73 when he did his "Aloha from Hawaii" live via Satellite worldwide broadcast, there was actually not 4.5 billion on earth...the population was just slightly over 3 billion!!

    • @jmartinez9332
      @jmartinez9332 5 місяців тому +3

I actually double-checked and we are both wrong it's actually 4 million so that was about 37.38% of the planet saw him which is just over the top ridiculous.

January 14 was the 51st Anniversary of the
'' Elvis, Aloha From Hawaii '' Live Concert.
The World's 1st Satellite Televised Live Concert was beamed to 48 countries and it drew the largest viewing audience ever of over 1.5 Billion people, the most watched event in the history of Television Broadcasting! Even more than the famous Moon Walk in 1969 by Neil Armstrong. It also marked the First and Only issued LP Album by RCA Victor that was Quadraphonic, Discreet 4-Ch Stereo !
And what's even more amazing is that NO ONE else has ever done this before or since Elvis ! ELVIS! The World's First Superstar !

When he was in LasVegas, he was there for a month, twice a year, doing 2, sometimes 3 concerts a night and giving his all at every concert. When I was there for 10 concerts, he performed for over an hour each time and was exhausted after each show. I don't know how he did it!! He was fantastic. Thank you for this reaction. It is a 10 for me. What performer could ever rate higher than Elvis??❤❤❤

I wouldn't call that broke at all! Lisa was a very rich young girl at age 9. It was never Elvis' wish to turn his house into a museum, he left his estate to his daughter, and wealthy she was for sure! He will always be remembered for the many kind acts he did for other people right through his career.

Elvis loved his people. When they told him in Texas he could leave the black girls (the Sweet Inspirations) home, he said if you don't want them you don't get me. He demanded his girls be given the star treatment and get to ride in the parade in a convertible limo.
Often after his shows he would ask them to stay and backstage they would talk and sing Gospel songs into the wee hours of the morning. He loved his people.

This was "Elvis live" when there was no Autotune, no lip sync, no computer enhancements and trickery.
A performer in the old days had to produce LIVE with nothing but the talent they had.
This song went to number 1 worldwide and has been called a rock opus ...it speeds up, slows down, is catchy and bluesy all at the same time.'
Elvis usually spent 5 to 8 minutes doing this song full blast and if you notice he is not even out of breath with all his dancing and jumping around.
In the old days you had to be good in the moment-not fair with someone at the soundboard fixing the mistakes.

No! Elvis was super fit at these 1970 concerts. He trained with weights on his ankles and wrists and No drugs. He enjoyed performing live here. It was later in the 70's that he wanted out. Every concert at Las Vegas was a sellout. He was given a solid gold belt by The International for breaking all attendance records.

Elvis didn't need dancers. He used them in the '68 Special but that was the only time. Other than that and his movies you'll never see dancers.
There was always a contest between Elvis and the drummer on this song. Ronnie Tutt thd drummer said it was like playing for a stripper.😂
Elvis was well known for his practical jokes on and off stage. That's why the backup singer was trying to hide when he approached her.

Some of the moves you see like when he goes down low are taken from stances used in the martial arts. Elvis held black belts in Kenpo Karate and Tae Kwon Do. Hopefully you've heard of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. An incident occurred in their first meeting which led them to becoming friends. Elvis suddenly took a challenging karate stance and Ali accepted with a coiled boxing pose. Elvis took down the world heavyweight champion with one quick leg swipe. I'm pretty sure Elvis' burly bodyguards and Ali's equally massive bodyguards panicked🫨 thinking they now have to fight each other in defending their prized clients

Well you have to put it in context of him finally getting out of his long-running movie contract with his asshole manager, and the whole Vegas thing is really tragic in a way but on the other hand Elvis had his 1968 Comeback Special which is only what it was called in retrospect it was an NBC television Christmas special, and you may be have even reacted from some things from it, if I can dream, at the end of it as a tribute to Dr Martin Luther King who had recently been assassinated not far from where he lived in memphis, and he was a big fan and it decimated him.
But anyway this is 2 years later in vegas, and in 1969, he was starting to tour a lot again after his television special in 68 and he was so happy to be back performing live only now he had these huge bands and all the packing singers and I've seen a lot of behind the scenes footage and they worked really hard but they also had a lot of fun. It was great chemistry. And you definitely see that on the stage here. And really in all of the live performances.
But anyway, I wanted to call your attention to in 1969, one of his biggest shows that he would have ever played was coming up at the newly built Houston astrodome. It was a big deal. But this was 1969. And a day or so before the performance, he got the call that he needed to leave the black people behind, especially the black female backing vocalists because they wouldn't be welcome at the Astrodome.
He apparently got so angry he was throwing furniture around the room and then finally he got back on the phone with them and gave them an ultimatum and said, everybody in my entourage is going to be there or I won't play it. And that was a huge deal because this was a career advancement it was a huge deal. Buddy basically said I'm not going to play if everybody can't be there. And they finally backed down and then of course being elvis, he doubled down on it and gave them the star treatment, put them in a convertible as they drove out onto the Outfield track in their little parade of limousines and convertibles and whatnot to go over to the stage and they had the spotlights on them, they were completely exposed and highlighted.
This to me speaks volumes about what kind of human being he was.
And while he had always had health conditions including asthma, which is strange considering what a great singer he was, yeah he was on some medications but 1970 in Vegas? He was a fully grown man and mature and just starting to really be in the best shape for the overall burden of just the sheer size and scale of these shows and how much effort it took. And he was totally into it. And everybody loved him. His audiences absolutely loved him.

If i read you right you said he was at the Astrodome in '69? He did the Astrodome in '70. That was also when he did the press conference to talk about it coming up. '69 was @ newly built Vegas hotel. That was one great thing Parker did for him in '69 was to not have him open @ newly built International Hotel & he somehow managed to get Streisand to open because Parker knew there would be technical issues & he didn't want that to fall on Elvis' head -- Barbara opened and DID have some technical issues.

I will not perform.. end of story.. The girls were allowed to stay.

Idk about Beyonce, who's got her own issues, but people like Jennifer Lopez, miss Jenny from the block, has clauses in certain people's contracts who work for her that they can't speak or look at her. Elvis would NEVER treat another person like that, no matter what capacity he met them. He addressed people as sir or ma'am, and when he met someone new, he introduced himself by saying "Hi, I'm Elvis Presley". As if he really needed to say that. He was known to buy a complete stranger a Cadillac when he was shopping for one, just because they liked it. He gave cars away to family and bodyguards, who devoted their lives to him. He bought houses for some of them, including his housekeeper and cook, Mary Jenkins. There's no one like Elvis, and Beyonce wishes she had what Elvis does, and I say does and not did because he STILL is the King! He needed no dancers, no special light, no nothing to help him.

She's gonna be a hard one to convince but at least Your trying. This is what You call the whole package. No one has duplicated to this day things Elvis accomplished.Hes not in 5 Hall Of fame for nothing.Lets see if Ppl remember Beyonce in 46 yrs no in 20 yrs and guarantee She's just another singer.Elvis did it all and like the Beatles and Stones said if there was no Elvis there would be no Beatles or Stones. And He helped Black Artist by singing there songs and helping Them get recognition like Little Richard said.So it's bull when They said He stole music and the black singers didn't get paid,He made Them all more popular and by Him singing those songs those other Artists were recognised. He was all about giving back.Shes so Young but with You guiding Her I think She could be a Elvis fan,,Here's the comparison between Micheal Jackson and Elvis.Elvis sold more than 1.5 billion records,,Micheal sold 750 thousand,,Elvis recorded over 750 songs,,Micheal under 300,,Elvis in 5 Hall Of fames,,Micheal 1 hall of fame,,,Micheal Jackson actually married Elvis only Daughter also.No one can hold a candle to Him.These are facts,,I love the reaction,,and channel so maybe She will become a Elvis fan.Elvis had so much going on with Him and it got worse right after the 1973 Hawaii Concert. He had glaucoma and a twisted colon and He did not approve of ppl taking drugs. He thought because His meds were prescribed that it was ok.But eventually things He was taken wouldn't work with 4 a day and so He started taking more of everything He was prescribed and then it caught up to Him.His were all prescribed to Him.He never took a illegal street drug and did not like alcohol because His Mother was a alciholic.Back then They gave meds out like candy and His Dr was over prescribing Him.Those suits You see Him wearing weighed 70 lbs that's why He sweated so much and the hot lights. His eyesight was so bad He could only see the 1st row.But I love that You are trying to expose Her to music. Not sure what They listen to today but it's not music I know that.Ok Have a Great Day the both of You and if You need to know anything ask Me.I sent songs to listen to on My other comment. You have over 750 to choose from.Heres a fact about Beyonce and Elvis. She has been singing 33 yrs and has only recorded 120 songs.Elvis had a career of 24 yrs and He has over 750 songs,,Beyonce has sold 200 million records,,Elvis has sold 1.5 billion.Elvis is in 5 Hall Of fames.Beyonce I think is in the rock and roll hall of fame and never understood Why Her kind of music and country and rap are in the hall of fame wen They have their own hall of fame. You don't see a rocker going into the rap hall of fame.We will leave that for Elvis because each Hall of fame He is in He actually sang that music.Heres the 5 Hall Of f ames Hes in for singing that music,,,Rock, nroll,,,Country,Gospel,,Rockabilly,,and R&B,,He actually won just 2 Grammys,,for Gospel ,,They screwed Him over in that department as He should have had way more for each style of music but They didn't hand Them out to Singers like They do2day They get trophies for trash. The only single Artist that comes close to Elvis is Micheal Jackson with only 300 recorded songs and only 750 million record sold. The only group that beats Elvis is the Beatles and thats 4 singers.I think We know Who rules here. There will never be another Elvis,,This trash They call music is here to stay.Have a great day

Wow - this girl shouldn't be listening to any Elvis since it's obvious she not only doesn't like him or his performances but she does not appreciate his voice or what he was able to accomplish. Don't know what her problem is but it's putting a damper on your showing the videos. I'm giving you background info on this song below & then that's it for me -- don't need to keep watching this girl & her half-asleep attitude.
BACKGROUND INFOR FOR THIS SONG: Written by Mark James in '68 it is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."

Baby girl...Elvis Presley was starting to gain weight at this point in his career, because of all of the drugs that he has taking!! This particular concert was just a few weeks before he died!! ❤ ❤

Facts and truth are important! You're either intentionally lying or you're just naive. As you can clearly see here, Elvis is as slender as he was in his movies. This video is from his documentary "concert movie" called "Elvis: That's the Way It Is," which was in 1970, which was only two years after his 1968 Comeback Special. I have the LP album of "That's the Way It Is"!
Yes, he was taking some drugs at this time, being itroduced to them while in the Army (1958-60), but not nearly as much as he was when he actually did begin to fluctuate off and on between weight gain and weight loss (around 1973-77). As I said, this particular performance was in 1970. So, it was NOT "just a few weeks before he died" in August of 1977!
I saw in another comment where you say that he "starts shaking" due to to the drugs taking over his body. That is simply not the case. Elvis was making moves like this, and even more extreme, since his Louisiana Hayride & Ed Sullivan Show days (and his live Tupelo, Memphis, etc. performances as far back as 1954. That's why he was eventually not shown from the waist down on the Ed Sullivan Show! The moves were spontaneous to him, as he "felt" the music and emotions of the songs. Because these moves were so natural to him (not drug induced), they could not help but be amalgamated into his performances and "perceived" by his audiences as part of the act, though some moves in this performance (such as the karate stretches and his syncopated moves with his drummer Ronnie Tutt) were obviously intentional as he was having fun and expressing himself. His "free expression" moves (mostly tame by today's standards) became iconic among rock groups, and many began trying to emulate them and, unfortunately, took their moves to gross, sickening, shocking, and even pornographic extremes.
One final thing ..... For you to call this young lady "baby girl" (unless you actually know her personally) is a little "weird" and disrespectful, in my opinion.
