There were two legends sitting in the room watching near the end of the video. Bo Diddley (chocolate brother/blues legend) and Willie Mosconi, a real legend in pool! Another George Thorogood song that's great is "No Particular Place To Go".
You may have heard this song in Terminator 2 when Arnold first comes out of the bar and gets on his motorcycle. George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers have a number of good songs. Check out "Madison Blues" and "One bourbon, one scotch and one beer".
I just saw him in concert about a month ago. 73 years old and still has voice like he's 30 or 40. When you are singing and sustaining high notes, your voice holds up much, much longer.
"Move it on over" is hank williams. "Who do you love?" is Bo diddley. "You talk too much" is Joe Jones. Thorogood is one of the guys i used to discover older artists. If thorogood wanted to copy them, they must be really great. Like the original "House of Blue lights" is so much better than his copy.
As a flower child born in 69.. I grew up in my early teens listening to this type of music. Long Live 70's & 80's music! The sax is what got me the most.... so raw... love it! peace
I'm glad you enjoyed listening to GT. If you thought that was fun and would like to listen to more. Then give this one a listen, if interested. "George Thorogood - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer - 7/5/1984 - Capitol Theatre (Official)" (channel: GeorgeThorogood on MV) As always, I loved rocking with you Shon. Thanks for sharing.
I saw George Thorogood and the destroyers in concert! I couldn't hear for three weeks! It's definitely a physical and spiritual experience to see them live! So proud to be a kid of the 70s and 80s!
Everything about the start of this song is the stuff you learn on the first day of High School jazz band. the great part about all blues songs is what different people layer into and on top of it. George Thorogood was so good at using that base to make a great song
I love love this man my hubby jammed with him years ago it was awesome. Great reaction. This song was played in the movie Christine my fav. movie. Btw George still can rock it at 74 yrs young.
I've seen him in concert a dozen times, and he never disappoints. Once he was with Buddy Guy. If he's ever performing in your area, you should go see him.
Bro! You got his name right! Nice job! He is my favorite artist! He has about 80-100 great songs that all sound bad ass. With the slide guitar, the saxophone and the screaming electric guitar! I cannot list them all. I have seen him live almost 10 times
Lonesome George is getting older but still puts on a killer live show, I saw him a few years ago and he wouldn’t stop playing! The people running the venue turned on the house lights to get him offstage so their staff could go home. Packed house too, great show.
This song has been in many dozens of movies and TV shows. Most notably, was featured in Terminator 2. That chorus and that riff are both so iconic, and Covid-catchy.
Love Handsome George❤Seen them in concert in early 90s, one badass concert❤3 straight hours of some of the best sax playing, guitar picking you will ever find. Have several of his albums. Gear Jammer, Joesphine, couple of my favs.❤😂
I saw George at the El ‘Mocambo in Toronto, in 1977 (yes - the same place the Stones played!) “Move it on Over” hadn’t been released at the time! He blew me away! Dancing on the bar and tables! It was crazy! Two months later, he was ALL over the radio! Peace
The phrase bad to the bone originated long ago and was mostly used to describe infections from war wounds. "The wound has gone bad to clear to the bone." It was then adopted by soldiers as a positive.
Memories, man, great memories. About 30 years ago I was a test driver at the GM Proving Grounds in Mesa, AZ. One night they called me in for a graveyard shift and I was assigned to the prototype Corvette. And the first thing up on the test schedule was a high speed test on the 5 mile circle track. BTW, it was expected to test the car stereos as well, they even provided us with a nice selection of CD's. Anyway, I was out there doing 100 mph in the desert night, listening to a George Thorogood midnight album concert. With Bad To The Bone blasting at full volume on the Bose stereo all I could do was think, "I'm actually getting paid to do this!"
"Beauty is skin deep, but Bad goes to the bone." is what my dad used to say about this song. And this tune has been sampled and used in tons of commercials, movies, tv shows...
Pool legend Willie Mosconi also makes an appearance as the old dude who bets on Bo Diddley to win! George took his inspiration from Bo Diddley, as you can his sound in this song! Peace!!!
In his early days, he was big from Delaware all up the 95 corridor to Boston. He was known as the best party band. We all loved his stuff in the late seventies, so happy when he broke through to the National market.
The familiar feeling is the classic blues swing that was established by a couple of rhythm kings, like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and Bo Diddley of course is the most iconic for this particular riff. All compelling African American blues artists that set the scene for rock artists like Thorogood to amp up the song. Really good take Shon
This has been in countless movies and commercials over the years. Totally iconic. But gotta agree with everyone else who's suggesting One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer.
In my younger days, my party days any band would be amiss if they didn’t play any Thorogood Song; especially Bad to the Bone. Believe it to be true even today. ROCK- ON😁
When the song first came out we didn't take it seriously. We just took it as a great rock song. And now it's an all-time classic! Thanks for playing it. I love this song! They did play the song in the movie Terminator 2. Maybe you heard it there. I bet you could find the movie clip of that scene on UA-cam.
The riff that you know is from the Godfather of the Blues, Muddy Waters with "Mannish Boy". The guy George plays pool with (with the square guitar) is Bo Diddley, another blues great. Bo also was on the original recording for "Mannish Boy". Homage to George for the Blues homage.
The "beat" is a famous Blues beat called "The Bo Diddley Beat", invented, or at least popularized by the man, who makes an appearance in the video. Along with World Pool Champion Willie Moscone, who lays the money down. George Thorogood is exactly as advertised, "Bad To The Bone". The song opens up the movie "Christine" as well.
You do know that the white haired guy is....... Wiiy Mosconi....Pool hustler extraordinaire him and Minnesota Fats, old wide word of sports used to televise their match's, Love yer work!
The familiar feeling is probably Hoochie Coochie man by Muddy Waters . But George is old school approved , he covered John Lee Hooker on his debut album and later did a duet with him on Sally Mae on The Healer album produced by Carlos Santana
I grew up listening to all of George's music. Thank you for reacting to his work. When my father was alive, he was a massive fan of Mr. Thorogood's albums. He saw him live more times than I could count. So this music was a large part of my childhood.
Maaaate! I watched George Thorogood in 'Huddo's Place' down in Tasmania. It's a tough place but it has great bands. George played for 3 and a half hours to me and my Uni mates in 1981. I've never seen anything like it since. Never.
Lol love your reaction. My buddies and I had a cb radio hooked up to speakers under the hood and used to Blast this gem through them back in the early 90's. Those were the good old days for SURE!!! Top notch tune for SURE We played this at every house/yard party....
Im sure youve heard this before, you just didnt realize it at the time. This songs been everywhere for decades... love your reactions, keep em coming!! How about some Bob Seger next? The Fire Inside...
There were two legends sitting in the room watching near the end of the video. Bo Diddley (chocolate brother/blues legend) and Willie Mosconi, a real legend in pool! Another George Thorogood song that's great is "No Particular Place To Go".
I always wondered how this video was arranged.
" I Drink Alone" and " One Burboun, One Scotch, And One Beer " absolutely worth reacting to.
Yes please
Everybody funny, now you funny too.
😁
Live versions! The one with Alvin bishop as guest (Older versions not newer ones lol)
*bourbon*
The destroyers is the name of his band. You need to check out one bourbon one scotch one beer!!!
Absolutely check that song out. The live version IMO is the best
Not to mention, it was his FIRST single. I wanna say he was 19, but I'm not sure.
Also, b-b-b-bad? That's a motorcycle revving
"One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer" - great tune by them
You may have heard this song in Terminator 2 when Arnold first comes out of the bar and gets on his motorcycle. George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers have a number of good songs. Check out "Madison Blues" and "One bourbon, one scotch and one beer".
For me it was in Christine.
I just saw him in concert about a month ago. 73 years old and still has voice like he's 30 or 40. When you are singing and sustaining high notes, your voice holds up much, much longer.
If you like saxophone, you'll LOVE Glenn Frey "YOU BELONG TO THE CITY". The sax in that song is off the chain. 🙌
YESSSSS!!!
This song still out here making people happy. 👏👏👏😁
This never gets old, it casts a real vibe.
Never...always brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it.
Other songs of his to check out, "I Drink Alone", "Move It On Over", "You Talk To Much", "Who Do You Love"

A fantastic performance! Pure Jamming with Elvin!

@@shon1303 That clip he mentioned is L E G E N D. Must see stuff.
And another great song of his, I Drink Alone. These songs never get old.@@shon1303
I saw George Thorogood and the destroyers in concert! I couldn't hear for three weeks! It's definitely a physical and spiritual experience to see them live! So proud to be a kid of the 70s and 80s!
This song has one of Rock & Roll's greatest and most recognizable riffs of all time. Rock & Roll with a very Jazzy/Bluesy feel to it. True Fire!
Everything about the start of this song is the stuff you learn on the first day of High School jazz band. the great part about all blues songs is what different people layer into and on top of it. George Thorogood was so good at using that base to make a great song
I Drink Alone and One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer. Epic hits from George! You’ll love them! 💪
I love love this man my hubby jammed with him years ago it was awesome. Great reaction. This song was played in the movie Christine my fav. movie. Btw George still can rock it at 74 yrs young.
I remember hearing this song as kid like 4-5 years old and just thinking this is the coolest song I've ever heard love that intro guitar killing it!!!
I've seen him in concert a dozen times, and he never disappoints. Once he was with Buddy Guy. If he's ever performing in your area, you should go see him.
Totally agree. I've sent him many times, more than anyone. He's just outstanding.
You got this song perfectly. Loved your reaction.
Bro! You got his name right! Nice job! He is my favorite artist! He has about 80-100 great songs that all sound bad ass. With the slide guitar, the saxophone and the screaming electric guitar! I cannot list them all. I have seen him live almost 10 times
George has several legit bangers.
You will love everything by this dude. He was my uncles favorite. Glad you enjoyed it.
Lonesome George is getting older but still puts on a killer live show, I saw him a few years ago and he wouldn’t stop playing! The people running the venue turned on the house lights to get him offstage so their staff could go home. Packed house too, great show.
It's Black Blues!😎
This song has been in many dozens of movies and TV shows.
Most notably, was featured in Terminator 2.
That chorus and that riff are both so iconic, and Covid-catchy.
I’m sure you’ve heard this song featured in commercials and movie soundtracks galore!
Saw. them once in a theatre setting... 4th row, centre.(Jubilee Auditorium, Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
Can't express how much fun that show was!✌🏼🇨🇦
Love Handsome George❤Seen them in concert in early 90s, one badass concert❤3 straight hours of some of the best sax playing, guitar picking you will ever find. Have several of his albums. Gear Jammer, Joesphine, couple of my favs.❤😂

One of my favorite workout songs! I'm from Delaware originally like George and I saw him at The Stone Balloon early in his career.
The phrase bad to the bone originated long ago and was mostly used to describe infections from war wounds. "The wound has gone bad to clear to the bone." It was then adopted by soldiers as a positive.

🎶 Yeah, I drink alone. With nobody else. When I drink alone - I prefer to be by myself. 😂
He was pretty funny with his lyrics.
"Beauty is skin deep, but Bad goes to the bone." is what my dad used to say about this song. And this tune has been sampled and used in tons of commercials, movies, tv shows...
Awesome reaction! Thanks ❤️ Much Love! #Hangovergang
This was featured in the movie "Christine" and also in the "Terminator" , probably many others, but those are two that I know about!
George is the real deal. So many songs to check out. "Blus Highway, Get a Haircut, If you don't Start Drinking, and so many others.
The gentleman he's playing pool with Is Bo Diddly... An old blues man who had a lot of hits with this same riff
Pool legend Willie Mosconi also makes an appearance as the old dude who bets on Bo Diddley to win! George took his inspiration from Bo Diddley, as you can his sound in this song! Peace!!!
I'm shocked you haven't heard some part of this song - it's been on movies, probably many other places!
I absolutely loved your reaction. Yes, it's definately one song that makes you feel, "BBBBBBB, Bad to the bone."
In his early days, he was big from Delaware all up the 95 corridor to Boston. He was known as the best party band. We all loved his stuff in the late seventies, so happy when he broke through to the National market.
This song fit so well into the movie "Christine" back in the 80s
That song is just total attitude and very entertaining.
Keeping it pure 🔥 100% of the time !!!!!
Ride on Josephine is another fire jam by GT and the Destroyers
This has been in countless movies and commercials over the years. Totally iconic. But gotta agree with everyone else who's suggesting One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer.
I'm an old white dude that once looked like you but now I can see what has passed on and I hope you are it. I love that you get it.
In my younger days, my party days any band would be amiss if they didn’t play any Thorogood Song; especially Bad to the Bone. Believe it to be true even today. ROCK- ON😁
He's a G he's not joke'n rock stars like him mean every word !
When the song first came out we didn't take it seriously. We just took it as a great rock song. And now it's an all-time classic! Thanks for playing it. I love this song!

My generation grew up on the BEST music❤❤❤
Love your enthusiasm with the reactions do. Thanks for making an old woman's day. God Bless❤
This song only makes me see The Terminator getting on his motorcycle going to look for John Connor
Now you understand the swagger of George Thorogood. A lot of people borrowed it but none mastered it!
Live version of One Bourbon One Scotch and One Beer!!! The jersey version 😂
A staple song for old classics
The riff that you know is from the Godfather of the Blues, Muddy Waters with "Mannish Boy". The guy George plays pool with (with the square guitar) is Bo Diddley, another blues great. Bo also was on the original recording for "Mannish Boy". Homage to George for the Blues homage.
Known as the greatest bar band in the world .
This might be the most played song in the world. It's definitely the most used song in movie's.
The man @03:01 with the rectangle guitar is the LEGENDARY Bo Diddly!
If you want to react to some classic blues, that's your man!

This song has been used in multiple films: Christine, Problem Child, T2: Judgement Day, Major Payne....
His pool opponent is legendary guitarist Bo Diddley, and the rich guy who lays the money on the table is pool legend Willie Mosconi.

You should watch an "in concert" video! The "Destroyers" have a killer Sax Man an the Band is AWESOME!!
The beat originated with Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters
They played this song on movie "Terminator"
The best opening scene in a movie uses this song. Christine.
Awesome reaction as usual from this great young man ! I saw George a few months ago in concert and he is fantastic !!
You do know that the white haired guy is....... Wiiy Mosconi....Pool hustler extraordinaire him and Minnesota Fats, old wide word of sports used to televise their match's, Love yer work!

I literally gave birth while this was playing on “Friday night Blues”❤️
Love Blues songs
