I deleted the previous video (before I uploaded this one) because it was about the failed retirement in the Philippines. Now that I focus about positivity in my life, I deleted that video. I felt some kind of sadness and frustrations and disappointment about the past and am not ready to relate those pasts for now.
Enjoy the now and future, the past is just that. We cannot change it but learn from it and livea better life going fwd. Love this channel so much, thank you for bringing it to us ❤❤❤😊
First of all, great video! You are not old. Trying telling that to a 90 something year old. 😊. Your old employer lost a lot of work experience when you left. It’s unfortunate the work culture did not value you. Let’s focus on the bright and important side of things. You are free now and your own boss. You can now do whatever you want and can focus on truly living life to the fullest. I wish you the very best and don’t ever forget your true value in this world. You are special! New subscriber here. Yay!❤
Thank you! That's what I am naturally doing now and I love every moment, what I do, loving my husband more than ever and looking forward to a new day to do things I love. Thank you for watching and positive sharing of your thoughts.
Hi Grace. As someone who’s a couple years older than you, I’m speaking from what I learned in this journey we call “Life”. As a retired firefighter/paramedic, I’ve seen many things that has shaped my beliefs. I was not and still not a religious person but I became spiritual and I believe everything happens for a reason. We all come to cross roads in our life and must determine if we turn o right or do we turn left. Since I believe everything happens for a reason, whichever way I turn is the correct turn. I will learn something either way. Having said that, I believe “failure” is nothing more than lessons in disguise. It teaches us what didn’t work but it doesn’t prevent success in the future. At the very least, if you try something and it didn’t work, at least you will not have, “What if…..?” hanging over your head for the rest of your life. You tried, it didn’t work, now you can move on to try something new with no regrets. Take care and I wish you and you husband health, wealth, and happiness.
Thank you for these words of wisdom and thank you for the wishes for me and my husband. I am thankful because things did not work for us sometimes. Glad to read your comment, thank you so much.
Hi Grace tks for your sharing..i am same age as you...i love how calming your video and music is...and i love how you decorated your house with beautiful plants!...may i know which city is this in Japan? the autumn colours and the rivers look stunning. Hope to visit Japan next year!
Hello Grace! I understand very well how you feel. Been there. Work problems, health problems not only myself but with other family members. I’m trying my best to live a healthy lifestyle by eating mostly vegetables and fish sometimes meat. I’m trying very hard to instill good healthy eating habits with my son. I stopped drinking sodas when i was in my 40’s and stopped using processed oil. As you have said studying and going out will help you overcome loneliness. It is true. Wishing you and your husband good health and happiness. Your forever friend and ate ( older sister).
I was on the road while I read your comment. I pressed the reply suggested by AI. I want my own words whenever I respond on comments so am here.... when I stopped compromising my principles and beliefs, life becomes easier for me at work but then I decided not to work with corporate anymore. Thank you for sharing about your lifestyle. I love it. Oh, thank you, Ate Rose. I love this moment.
@ Grace, thank you for your replying about my comments. But actually I am not expecting you to be obligated to be replying all the time. I just want to share some of my thoughts to you. It’s one of my ways of destressing. I understand very well how hard it is to edit and applaude videos. Just disregard some of my spelling mistakes. I watch many videos on you tube specially medical ones and nutrition and about culture and videos like yours. I rarely comment only commenting when i find sincere videos like yours. Keep uploading so your channel will grow and be more successful! Fighting!
Konichiwa Grace. I always enjoy watching your channel. I had the chance to lived in Japan for a while, I truly understand very well the loneliness you mentioned on this video. I liked how you said it, that loneliness is not sadness. Strong woman as you are, will always overcome whatever life throws on you. Stay as positive as you are. I am much older than you are, but I love to travel. I hope & pray to visit Japan once again (and maybe the opportunity meet you ) with God's blessings.
Thank you so much! I just uploaded a new video about my desire to support the City Office with the city tourism. Kindly watch the newest video. Thank you for your heartwarming comment about my perception of loneliness and sadness. Thank you and if you are in Japan, please visit us.
Hi there! I’ve always wanted to visit Japan, I think the country has so many beautiful places and I would love to try authentic Japanese food. Such a good advise to those living or thinking of living in Japan. I can see you are making the best of it.
Hi Grace I'm only half way through the video but I feel that being only a month older than you that maybe you should stop being old and accept that we are both growing older. I don't about you but I look at the world today and I don't want to be 21 again. The things that we have seen may not exist anymore but we have seen and lived through them. Enjoy the blessings of life that we have, leave yesterday behind and live today. Best wishes from England 🏴.
Grace thank you for sharing how was retirement was like in Japan. 50 years old in our Country Singapore 🇸🇬 is still quite sometimes from retirement. Our official retirement age is 63 years old and mostly people will continue to work to 65 to 68 years old or even older as there is demand for work force in Singapore especially for retail and F& B. BTW, I am going 62 years next year and really hope not to work till too old as I would like to do more travelling before my legs get weak and also it is very stressful to work in the Financial institution nowadays because of digitalisation and is quite tough for me as I am not am Isavvy person.
Hello, Elsie. I sensed that you were from Singapore. Thank you for sharing me about yourself. I would love to meet you in personal here in Japan since I have accepted already that it's nearly impossible for me to travel as we used to now that my husband has sight issues. Recently, I am contemplating of sharing more about the places here in our region for my channel viewers. Glad to know you, Elsie. Thank you for watching this video.
Good day maam Grace, hoping next vid mo wala na yung word na loneliness.
Natawa ako..thank you. Hayaan mo at sana mawala na ang loneliness word sa mga videos ko. Totoo lang kasi.
59 is old? I am nearly 55 and just left they gym where I can out run and lift guys in there mid 20's day after day. Be proud you are 59 but, you are not old unless someone else says so and you believe them.
Thank you. When one tries to resist abusive working environment and attempt to resign, an empoyer will gaslight the employee by simply saying, "you're old so you won't find another job like this".
@@livingwithgraceinjapan That is very sad. Japan seems perfect in many ways to us not living there or who have never visited but there are so many issues such as what you are experiencing and many more. Thank you for sharing and stay beautiful as you are.
Not old …we are older 🙂I loved working but I have accepted that God had me shift to this for a purpose and I still have the means to help people in another way vs what I did when I was working. I kept looking at the plants you had on your table and showed my husband because his father used to have the same plants …he stared at it and wants to look for that plant at the garden shop tomorrow. 🥲 I’ll take care of it for him. Do you have immediate family still in the Philippines? I see so many young ones in Japan working on contract and they send money back home. One of my friends used to do that but no longer has family there anymore. You are special Grace ❤sending you love and healing always ❤
Francine, you are an inspiration, thank you for sharing your experience with Filipino friends. That plants you mentioned were bought during Summer here in Japan during pandemic. I wasn't able to keep them growing so they're not here anymore with me. Regarding families, I'll tell you about my story when we meet in personal. I'll hope and wish it will happen someday.
